The €1,500 Main Event launched its first of four flights with Italy’s Mikel Calo’ bagging the largest stack. The €2,500 High Roller completed Day 2 with Sweden’s Karl Sandoff leading 16 survivors into Thursday’s final. And a third flight of the €300 Colossus sent 18 more players through to the combined Day 2.
Meanwhile, Italy’s Giuseppe Leone won the side event of the day after topping the €300 Daily Deepstack with a deal with Denmark’s Mattias Hansen.

Karl Sandoff Leads 16 Into the High Roller Final
The €2,500 High Roller ran a second day on Wednesday, building the field to 187 entries for a €395,505 prize pool. With 29 places paid, the final 16 survivors each locked up €5,220 and will return Thursday at 1 p.m. for the ring. Sweden’s Karl Sandoff leads the way into the final with 8,300,000 chips.
The Netherlands’ Joris Ruijs is second with 5,000,000, followed by France’s Thomas Eychenne with 4,500,000. The €2,500 High Roller carries a €93,225 first-place prize and a $5,000 WSOP Paradise package, along with the gold ring.

Wednesday’s most anticipated session was the opening flight of the €1,500 Main Event, the marquee ring event of the Malta series. Day 1A drew 107 entries and added €137,052 to a growing prize pool across four flights. Italy’s Mikel Calo’ leads the 17 survivors into Day 2 with 940,000 chips.
France’s Thomas Rayssiguier is second with 534,000, and Malta’s Matthew Micallef bags third with 480,000. Day 2 is Saturday, October 3, with the final day live-streamed on Sunday, October 4, commentated by poker.pro’s Jason Glatzer and guests. Flight B fires Thursday at 12:30 p.m.

Event #4 Colossus Day 1C Sends 18 Through
The €300 Colossus continued building its field with a third starting flight on Wednesday evening. Day 1C attracted 118 entries, adding €59,144 to the prize pool, with 18 players surviving into the combined Day 2. France’s Romain De Rieux led the flight with 365,000 chips, followed by Italy’s Angelo Patane with 349,000 and Malta’s Mark Vella with 284,000. This pushed De Rieux ahead of Day 1B chip leader Karl Gialanze and just behind the Day 1A chip leader from France, Franck Bain, who bagged 466,500 on Sunday.
The Colossus, the single most ambitious event on the Malta schedule, runs six flights in total with its final day set for Monday, October 5. The combined 1A/1B field of 25 survivors from the first two flights now grows to 43 with Day 1C’s 18. A fourth turbo flight fires Thursday evening at 8 p.m.
