Sergio Aido Claims His Third WSOP Bracelet With a Repeat Win in the $10K GGMillion$ High Rollers

Sergio Aido wins his third WSOP bracelet

Some players win a bracelet and spend the rest of their careers chasing another. Spain’s Sergio Aido has a simpler strategy: pick an event, own it. On Monday, September 29, 2026, Aido won the WSOP Online Event #33: $10,000 GGMillion$ High Rollers on GGPoker, banking $2,228,762 and a third career WSOP bracelet.

He won the same event two years ago for $1.9 million. He came back with a bigger field, a bigger prize pool, and a bigger payday. This time he did not scrape through. He dominated.

Who Is Sergio Aido?

Sergio Aido was born September 5, 1988, in Avilés, a small port city in northern Spain. He now travels around the world and has spent the past decade building one of the most impressive records in high-stakes poker, both live and online. His Hendon Mob profile shows $26,796,044 in live tournament earnings, placing him 50th on the all-time money list and 2nd in Spain. His online earnings add another countless millions to that figure.

He holds the Global Poker Index National Player of the Year award for Spain from both 2021 and 2022, and sits 94th in the world on the GPI.

His best live cash, $2,026,506, came in June 2024 when he won the $50,000 No Limit Hold’em High Roller (8-Handed) at the 55th World Series of Poker in Las Vegas: the first of his three bracelets. That result cemented what online players already knew. Aido runs deep when it counts.

His three bracelets tell the full story:

YearEventBuy-inPrize
2024WSOP Event #39: $50,000 NLH High Roller 8-Handed (Las Vegas)$50,000$2,026,506
2024WSOP Online Event #1: $10,300 GGMillion$ High Rollers (GGPoker)$10,300$1,935,575
2026WSOP Online Event #33: $10,000 GGMillion$ High Rollers (GGPoker)$10,000$2,228,762

Two of his three bracelets are in the same event. Very few players have managed that.

Aido Comes Back and Does It Better

When Aido won the GGMillion$ High Rollers in 2024, it was a short-stack comeback story. He grinded through a tough final table from the bottom of the chip counts and found a way to win. The 2026 edition told a different story, but in many ways it felt like déjà vu.

“Oops, I did it again,” Aido agreed.

This year’s field drew 1,754 entries and generated a $17,013,800 prize pool. Aido arrived at the nine-handed final table as the second chip leader. From there, he put on a clinic, eliminating six of the eight players removed at the final table. He turned a dominant chip position into a dominant result. Brazil’s Matheus Machado gave him the most resistance, finishing as runner-up for $1,718,571, but Aido was never in real danger of coming up short.

On top of the bracelet and the $2,228,762 first-place prize, Aido earned a $30,000 Super Pass to WSOP Paradise, adding yet another perk to an already massive score. The win pushed his combined live and online earnings comfortably past $30 million.
