2026 Spring Super Stack – Event #4: $450 PLO Double Board Bomb Pot

It was a quick heads-up tonight in the Double Board Bomb Pot game. Peter Darlington came into the final phase with a huge chip lead over Gord Chen, and Chen was always going to have a tough go of it to climb Darlington’s mountain.

Chen gave it a good go, however, playing aggressively with the short stack. On more than one hand, he check-potted the flop almost faster than Darlington could get his bet out, forcing folds to get small chip ups.

But Darlington, who is a PLO specialist who clearly knows the game well, is essentially an unstoppable force when he’s running well, and he was running hot tonight. In the final hand, Chen flopped the nuts, and the money went in, but Darlington went runner-runner boat to steal the hand and the win.

This is Darlington’s sixth live win, with four of those in four-card poker. He is also the owner of a couple of Circuit rings, won here in Calgary in the same series in 2024, with one of those rings coming in a PLO game. This win should be his seventh biggest live score, and push his lifetime earnings over $125k.

The rivers were Q♠ & 10♠, and Chen slid out a stack of yellows for 100k. Geha mucked his hand to send both pots to Chen.

Raymond Trieu took $2,592 for 4th place tonight. I missed the action while I was writing up the previous bustout.

They are down to 4 now after Oleksandr Sviderskyi busted in 5th to Kalil Geha. The money went in on the flop of 3♦10♣7♥ with Sviderskyi on top pair with ace-queen-ten-nine against ace-six-six-five. Geha found a 6 on the turn, however, and the nine of spades on the river wasn’t enough to help Sviderskyi.

They are down to 5 remaining now after Fat Wong hit the rail for 6th place. I missed the action while I was getting the pictures sorted out.

The action gets going at 4 PM, and players sit down with 25k in chips. They can enter the game for the first 10 levels of play, which should put the final chance to enter at about 8:40 PM. After that, they’ll play down to a winner before the end of the night.

Last summer, Skyler York won this game after an epic heads-up battle with Teo Sanchez over 63 entries. The Spring game went to Nicholas Lee, when he took it down over 76 entries to cap $500k in live earnings.
