Anthony Hitchmough limped the 200 Big Blind from UTG before reigning champion Ion Oprea made it 700 from UTG+1. Marcus Adams then made it 1,800 from the Lo-jack. Hitchmough made the call, and Oprea then raised once more to 8,700. Adams made the call; as the hand wasn’t already crazy enough, Hitchmough moved all in for somewhere around starting stack. Oprea re-shoved, and so did Adams. Three-way showdown to the flop, then, with all players having almost as much.

Anthony Hitchmough: QJ
Ion Oprea: AJ
Marcus Adams: AK

Quite a unique hand, and Adams had the best hand. Hitchmough picked up a flush draw on the 873 flop, but the K7 runout secured Adams the win and the double knock-out. The dealer counted the stacks; Hitchmough was eliminated, whilst Oprea survived with coffee money. It’ll be interesting to see how Adams plays his massive chip lead on the earlier levels.

Marcus Adams: 103,500
Ion Oprea: 5,000
Anthony Hitchmough: 0
