Action folded to Matthew Cornes, who min-raised to 16,000 on the Button. Daniel Ryder then moved all in for 170,000 from the Small Blind. Much to the surprise of some of the other players at the table, Ali Mallu cold-called from the Big Blind. Within a split second, Cornes then re-shoved for 448,000, and the spectators let out a collective, “What’s going on?” After some consideration, Mallu surrendered his hand, leaving Ryder and Cornes heads-up to the flop.
