Tina Nguyen was the short stack for most of four-handed play, and she had just 20k behind after paying the ante. That 20k went in on the 5♠J♠7♣ & 6♦2♠3♦ flops and everyone at the table called. The remaining players checked the 9♥ & 9♠ turns, but Richie Tran led for 100k on the 5♣ & A♣ rivers.
Colten Yamagishi called, while Khairuddin Akbari mucked. Tran showed a spade flush on the bottom, while Yamagishi had a straight to the jack on top, leaving Nguyen’s nine-high straight as second best, and she was out for 4th place.
