Trevor Patrick had to come from behind to take down Jody Fayant tonight, and he did it in dramatic fashion. In the big hand that turned the tide, they got it in preflop after a raising war, and it was ace-queen for Patrick against tens for Fayant.
Fayant was one card away from winning it all, but Patrick found a queen on the river to save his tournament and get the double. That gave him the lead, and a few hands later, Patrick raised king-queen, then called when Fayant shoved jack-eight suited. Patrick was in good shape to start, and flopped a king to get even better. The king held, and the game was over.
