Two-Card Deepstack Hyper on the Wednesday Side

Date:Jul 22, 6 PM
Blinds:15 Minutes
Starting Stack:40k
Late Entry:11 Levels (Entries close ~9:15 PM)
Day 1 Ends:One-Day Event

The side game on Wednesday is the two-card version of the Deepstack Hyper game. It’s a redo of the PLO Deepstack Hyper, just with two cards and a slightly smaller starting stack.

The action gets going at 6 PM, with a 40k starting stack, and lightning-fast blinds of 15 minutes. Entries are open for 11 levels, putting the close of the entry desk at about 9:15 PM tonight. After that, they’ll race down to the trophy.

This game tends to play very quickly, and will be running alongside the main game, Event #10: $570 NLH. There’s a good chance this game finishes before the main game does, so it may not get much coverage tonight. My focus will be on the money spots for E10, but if this one gets to the money before E10, I may move to this one to catch the endgame here, then move back to finish out E10. I’ll see what the situation looks like later tonight to decide how to proceed.

Riol Sherifi, winner of Event 10

In May, Riol Sherifi took down this game for his first-ever live win. He made it through 73 entries to defeat Jarret Gray heads-up for the title, and he was pretty happy to score his first live trophy.
