The build-up and anticipation are over as the Pocket Queens podcast makes its debut on Tuesday. Lina Olofsson and Drea Karlsen have been building toward this since they met at the WSOP Circuit last summer, and what they are putting together is not a poker strategy show. It is a show about the people who play poker, the stories that never make it into live reports, and the parts of the game that make it worth following beyond the results.
The pilot introducing the podcast sets the tone well. Olofsson brings more than two decades of live reporting and a Swedish Poker Hall of Fame induction to the project. Karlsen brings a WSOP Circuit Ring, a camera, and a creative instinct that comes through in everything she does in the game. Together they are going after something specific: the gossip, the drama, the characters, and the moments that define poker life away from the felt. High-profile guests have already committed. The full episode lineup will reflect both the depth of their combined network and the fact that they have been in nearly every room that matters in tournament poker over the past 20 years.
