The weekend action saw the conclusion of 4 games, including the first multi-flight event of the series, Event #3. Eric Wasylenko emerged victorious from that one, for his record eighth trophy on the PPT, but his first in more than a year.
Other weekend action included the PKO on Sunday, won by Johnny Dalphond, as well as two $340s, the PLO Deepstack Hyper on Friday, won by Denis Mujcin, as well as an NLH on Saturday night won by Sarvesh Pershad.
While there were four trophies awarded over the weekend, the story in the Player of the Series race was more about the runner-up finishers than the winners. Leader Cam Stewart added to his lead with second place in Event #3 to put him over 200 points, while Benny Sarnelli picked up his third cash with a runner-up finish in the PKO on Sunday to take over second place with almost 150 points.

Wasy Wins Another One

Event #3: $670 NLH ($600 + $70)
After two starting flights, Event #3 drew a combined total of 221 entries, with 103 on 1a and 118 on 1b. That put almost $126k into the prizes for Sunday’s Day 2.
Preston Stevenson had the lead for Day 2, with a massive stack of almost 900k, more than 350k higher than the next best stack of Chris Syemsko, and both of those stacks were able to make it to the final table. The final nine was very much a case of the usual suspects in this one.
Along with Stevenson (5th) and Symesko (8th), the final table included the winningest player on the PPT, Eric Wasylenko, the May Player of the Series and Main Event winner Cam Stewart, Rob Limpert, Ross Wilson, Kris Steinbach, and Roymond Kim.
It was hardly a surprise to see Wasy building a stack through the final day. He came into Day 2 with a smallish stack after bagging just shy of 200k in Day 1b, but quickly turned up the heat to lead most of the endgame. Stewart was another one to start small and build – he barely bagged 100k on 1b, but ran that up to the runner-up spot, and added to his lead in the current Player of the Series race.
This was Wasy’s 8th trophy on the PPT, but his first in more than a year, with his most recent previous PPT win coming in May of 2025.

Deni Mujcin Wins PLO Deepstack Hyper

There was a 4-way deal at the end of the PLO Deepstack Hyper, with Denis Mujcin in the lead. They agreed to ICM numbers and ended the game there.
The game drew 83 entries for prizes of $23,655, and as expected, it was a pretty fast game, finishing about 8 hours after it began. By the time they got down to the final four, the stacks were barely 10 big blinds average, and pretty much every hand, even with just blinds and antes won, changed the lead and the short stack.
Mujcin had a big lead when the deal was made, and he got the biggest prize, but Alan Zhu, Bash Ramahi, and Stefan Maloney were able to smooth out the payouts from 2nd through 4th.

Sarvesh Pershad Wins Event #5 for First Live Win

It was over 9 hours to decide the winner in Event #5, and the final three players even cut a deal at the end to shorten it more. Ali Razzaq had the lead through most of the final table, but Servesh Pershad was able to come back short-handed to take it down.
The endgame was quite fast in this one. It took about 30 minutes to get from the bubble to 6-handed, and then another 90 minutes to finish the game. When they got three ways, the stacks were pretty even, and the final three agreed to a deal that saw them all guaranteed $5k, with an extra $1,235 up top for the winner.
This was Perhsad’s first live win and will slot into 6th on his all-time cash list.

Johnny Dalphond Wins PKO for Second Live Win

Event #6: $560 NLH PKO ($300 + $200 + $60)
The PKO field was the second-biggest single-day field so far, and the biggest open-entry single-day field, with the only other one-day game to beat it being the Seniors with 145 entries. Given the bigger prize pool, however, the PKO came in as the second-biggest prize pool of the series so far, behind only the multi-flight Event #3.
Johnny Dalphond was the leader through most of the final table, though Stefan Maloney (5th, $3,845 combined) briefly held the lead. Otherwise, it was all Dalphond, and he ended it in decisive fashion as well. After sending Jo Teliani home in 3rd place, he had a massive lead, and runner-up Benny Sarnelli was looking at a tough slog to get back into it.
Instead, very early in heads up, Dalphond shoved with pocket fives, and Sarnelli called it off with a king. Dalphond then proceeded to flop quad fives to leave Sarnelli dead on the flop. Sarnelli won $6k from the prizes, with an additional $475 in bounties, while Dalphond also got $6k for prizes, but he added a whopping $5,700 in bounties to that total, for $11,700 as a final score.
This was Dalphond’s second live win after taking down a DSPT game in 2018.
