The Pure Poker Tour returns for its fourth edition in 2026, with the series action starting Sep 17 at Pure Casino Yellowhead in Edmonton. That begins 11 days of poker action in the Pearl Showroom, culminating in the $1,100 Main Event running from Sep 25-27.
As usual, the Seniors kick the series off at noon on Sep 17, with a 50+ game, while the first open-entry event runs at 5 PM on the 17th with the NLH/PLO Mix. That leads into the opening weekend including the first multi-flight game, Event #3, starting Friday at noon.
Throughout the following week, 17 trophy games will play out, with players competing once again for the Player of the Series crown (while all points also go into the 2026 Pure Casino Player of the Year race). The Seniors game won’t count in the PoS or PoY races, as it has limited entry.
At PPT #3 in July, it was local grinder Benny Sarnelli who took down a close Player of the Series battle. The race came down to the final day of action, with multiple players in Day 2 of the Main Event, or playing the Sunday side game, who could have taken it down depending on the finishes, but in the end, Sarnelli held onto his start-of-day lead with a runner-up finish in the side game to secure the PoS prize.
4-Card PKO Debuts at PPT #4
While much of the schedule will be familiar to regular grinders on the PPT, there’s a new game in town for the upcoming series. For the first time, players will get a chance to play a progressive knockout in the PLO format on the Pure Poker Tour, with the format headlining the games on Wed, Sep 23.
Outside of that game, the PPT #4 schedule looks pretty similar to past series, with the two weekends highlighted by the two multi-flight games. Opening Day features the Seniors and the NLH/PLO Mix, with Day 1a of Event #3 kicking off on the second day of Series action.
The opening weekend includes side games alongside Event #3, such as the PLO Deepstack Hyper & 2-card PKO games. Mid-week action includes the PLO PKO game. as well as a PLO Big Bounty and the PLO Main Event, giving the 4-card afficianados plenty of play during the middle of the series.
That leads into the biggest game of the series, the Main Event. In July, the PPT #3 Main drew more than 300 entries for prizes of nearly $290k, but this edition could easily cap $300k with Main Events in the past going past half a million.

Qualifier Action Begins Sunday
As always, players will have some early chances to get get cheap entry into the series. In addition to satellites running during the series, 4 qualifiers will run before any trophies are awarded for PPT #4.
The satellite action gets going across town at Pure Casino Edmonton on Sep 13 at 1 pm, with a $260 game awarding $2k in T$ to one out of every nine entries. That’s followed up by a $170 game for $1,100 in T$ on Monday night at Casino Edmonton (1 in 7.5).
On Tuesday, the action moves to Pure Casino Yellowhead for the remainder of the pre-series qualifiers, as well as the series proper. Tue & Wed nights host carbon-copies of the Sun/Mon games, just played across town at Yellowhead. Note that the Monday & Wednesday night games play in the old, non-landmark format, while the rest of the satellite games appear to be the newer landmark format.
