The 2026 World Series of Poker at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas has produced another headline result, and this one belongs to a name poker fans know all too well. Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi outlasted a stacked field in Event #70: $10,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Championship, adding a ninth WSOP gold bracelet to a resume that already includes a Main Event title, four Poker Players Championship victories, and a spot in the Poker Hall of Fame.

The four-day event drew 836 entries, well above what a five-figure buy-in PLO tournament typically pulls in, and the field built a prize pool of $7,774,800. First place alone was worth $1,350,203, with the money paid out eight spots deep.

Mizrachi carried a commanding chip lead into the unofficial final table and never really let it go. In the last day, after eliminating Michael Hahn in third place ($627,832), he moved to heads-up play against India’s Zarvan Tumboli, holding roughly a 4-to-1 edge. Tumboli refused to fold quietly, but couldn’t do more than split the difference at one stage, after that Mizrachi re-established control anyway and closed out the win when his river card completed a straight over Tumboli’s Aces. Tumboli settled for $900,088, the largest score of his career.

The Grinder was among the poker legends who touched down in Tallinn last October for the No Filter Poker Series, where poker.pro served as a media partner, and our team had the chance to meet the legend in person on the tournament floor at Olympic Park Casino. Whether Mizrachi will make a return trip to Estonia is debatable, but the city is gearing up for another WSOP-branded event as the 2026 WSOP Circuit returns to Tallinn from July 23 through August 2.

The victory pushes Mizrachi’s career earnings past the $30 million mark and moves him into a group of only eight players in the game’s history to reach nine WSOP bracelets, joining Benny Glaser, Shaun Deeb, Johnny Moss, Doyle Brunson, Erik Seidel, Johnny Chan, Phil Ivey, and record-holder Phil Hellmuth.

It’s his first bracelet in a Pot-Limit Omaha event specifically, despite four wins in the mixed-game Poker Players Championship and last year’s Main Event title, which also earned him a Poker Hall of Fame induction. Mizrachi has made no secret that Hellmuth’s all-time record of 17 bracelets is the target, and he wasn’t shy about it after the win, saying he needs to average two or three bracelets a year to have a real shot at catching him.

According to pokernews.com, Tumboli punched his ticket into the event through a $1,100 satellite and turned it into a career-defining run. The Indian grinder was guaranteed the biggest live cash of his career the moment Jesse Lonis was eliminated in seventh place. Tumboli now has 2 million dollars in tournament earnings and still plenty of time to leave an even bigger mark on this year’s World Series of Poker.
