2026 Pure Poker Tour Series #3 – Event #10: $560 NLH

The final phase of this game turned into a bit of a marathon after they sprinted to the money. The 102-entry field hit the money about 9.5 hours after they started play, but the final table would take 6 hours to finish. They got down to 4 in about an hour, but then things stalled.

They battled 4 ways for about an hour before Amir Khan ended his night in 4th. Then the final three played 2.5 hours before Oleksandr Lobur finally relinquished his chips in 3rd. That put Mike Malm heads up with the lead against Jarret Gray, who was in a similar heads-up spot in May, but it was across the room in the Deepstack Hyper.

Heads up turned out to be relatively quick. The final hand came about 20 minutes after they started. Malm raised to 100k, and Gray called to the 9♠Q♥A♦ flop. Gray check-called for 50k to see the K♣ turn.

Gray checked again, but shoved over Malm’s 100k bet. Malm snapped it off. The king helped both players, as Gray was on K♠J♦ for second pair and a gutshot to Broadway, but Malm hit two pair with K♦9♥. The 8♦ river didn’t change anything, and Malm had all the chips and the trophy.

Oleksandr Lobur shoved his button after the dealer exposed a queen of spades that was meant for his final card. That became the burn, and he got a new on before shoving.

Mike Malm hit the tank from the big blind and finally put in the call. He was dominated with ten-nine into king-ten of spades for Lobur, but Malm found a nine on the A♠9♦3♣6♠3♦ board to take it down.

Malm now has the lead heads-up against Jarret Gray.

Mike Malm limped in from the small blind, and Oleksandr Lobur checked his option. Malm fired 40k on the 9♣6♠3♥ flop and Lobur called to the 10♦ turn.

Malm bet 40k again, then called when Lobur shoved the shorter stack. Lobur hit two pair with six-three, leaving Malm’s pocket kings drawing thin. The 7♠ river bricked, and Malm sent the double over to Lobur.

The final three will be moving to poker to finish it out.

Jarret Gray raised to 37k from the button, and Amir Khan called from the big blind. They both checked the A♠10♣K♣ flop, and Khan fired 40k on the 6♠ turn.

Khan fired 110k on the 2♣ river, then tank-called when Gray shoved a covering stack. Khan turned a set of sixes, but Gray had flopped the joint with queen-jack for Broadway.

In the final hand of Level 19, Oleksandr Lobur raised to 26k under the gun, and Amir Khan called from the big blind. Khan check-called for 18k on the J♣8♦2♦ flop, and they both checked it down through the 7♣4♠ turn and river.

Khan showed K♠8♠ for a flopped pair, and Lobur mucked his hand.

I’m having trouble keeping up with the action in Event #10, and I haven’t been able to catch much action yet. Shen Liew just ended his day in 5th place for $3,645, leaving four players remaining for the Event #10 title.

They are down to 5 left after Keith Schultz, who was one of the short stacks at the table, ended his day in 6th place.

The main game on Wednesday is the $560 NLH. Action gets going at 1 PM, with players getting 30k to start. Blinds are 30 minutes long until heads-up play, when they drop to 15 minutes.

Players have 8 levels to buy in or rebuy. With the breaks included, that should mean the entry desk shuts down around 6:45 PM. After that, they’ll play down to a winner.

In the May $560 NLH, Brian MacNevin took the game down heads up over Shawn Taghavi. The game drew 61 entries for prizes of $28,975.
