  • Brian MacNevin Defeats Shawn Taghavi for E11 Trophy

    Level:22 (15000/25000/25000)
    Entries:1/61
    Prizes:$28,975
    Local Time:1:00 AM

Heads up was fairly quick in this one, but there wasn’t a lot of action until the final hand. Early in heads up, there was a lot of raise-folds, and limps with check downs for small pots.

Shawn Taghavi shoved a few times, with Brian MacNevin folding and showing an ace, claiming to have a small kicker. It finally went in when Taghavi shoved his button with an ace, and MacNevin called it off with king-jack. MacNevin flopped his jack and that was all he needed to take it down.

The players cut a deal at the start of heads-up for both players to get $8,500 each, with the rest on the table to play for. That meant Taghavi’s share tonight was $8,500, while MacNevin got $9,160.

  • MacNevin More than 2:1 Ahead

    Rob Limpert

Brian MacNevin raised to 35k from the button, then called when Rob Limpert shoved the small blind for 305k. It was a race between eights for Limpert and ace-ten for MacNevin, and MacNevin went to Broadway on a board of 3K6QJ.

MacNevin is now heads up with about a 3:1 lead over Shawn Taghavi.

“I only looked at one,” Brian Wells said, before shoving his stack from the small blind. Brian MacNevin called from the big blind with more, but was dominated with ace-deuce against ace-jack of hearts for Wells. The 7K5QA was clean for Wells and his jack kicker player for the win.

    Dana Shore

Dana Shore raised the cutoff to 35k before Brian MacNevin raised the small blind to 80k. Shore was fairly short and shoved, with MacNevin snapping it off.

    Jo Teliani

Brian MacNevin raised to 35k from the button, and Jo Teliani repopped it from the big blind to 135k. MacNevin asked to see her stack, then shoved his bigger stack.

Teliani tanked for about 15 seconds before tossing in the call, but she was dominated with ace-jack into ace-king. They both flopped an ace, but MacNevin’s kicker played on a board of 67A25.

Rob Limpert raised the hijack to 25k, then called it off with more when Dana Shore shoved for 88k from the button. Limpert was on king-five of diamonds against tens for Shore.

Limpert found a five on the flop, but couldn’t improve as the board ran out A3562.

    Level:16 (3000/6000/6000)
    Entries:10/61
    Prizes:$28,975
    Local Time:10:00 PM

Just over 20 minutes remain in Level 16, and Event #11 is 3 off the money, with 10 players left. There’s a break following this level, and I’ll get another look at all the chips during the break. It seems likely they’ll be at the final table by then, with the bubble coming sometime in Level 17.

  • 6 Off the Money

    Level:15 (2500/5000/5000)
    Entries:13/61
    Prizes:$28,975

The main game is down to 13 players left now, just 6 eliminations off the money spots. Just under 20 minutes remain in Level 15, with the next break scheduled at the end of Level 16. I’ll grab another round of chip counts at the break in just under an hour.

    Entries:18/61
    Prizes:$28,975

The main game is down to 21 players left, with just under 20 minutes to play in Level 12. There is a break following this level, and I’ll try to get a full look at the chips and players when they are away from the table.

  • Final Three Tables

    Level:10 (1000/1500/1500)

Entries are closed for Event #11, with 61 on the board. That is still unofficial, but if it holds, it will mean 7 players sharing in nearly $29k in prizes later tonight.

Brian Wells, Michael St. Pierre-Porter, Colten Yamagishi, Shawn Taghavi, Rob Lothian, Ed Sorensen, Brett Worton, Rob Limpert, Ramaz Haymour, Steve Chung, Jo Teliani, Jay Foong, Thomas Taylor, Ross Wilson, Alex Liu, Weston Pring, Ali Razzaq, Haven Taylor, Eric Wasylenko, Jerry Tria, and Denis Mucjin are among the players still in action in this one.

    Level:7 (400/800/800)
    Entries:29/47
    Prizes:$22,325
    Local Time:4:40 PM

There is a small issue with Poker Atlas and the clock at the moment. The total field at the moment is 47 entries, but I don’t have a solid number for the remaining players at the moment. That said, the prizes are now over $22k, and there are just shy of 90 minutes left in entries.

  • $19k in Prizes

    Level:6 (300/600/600)
    Entries:30/40
    Prizes:$19,000
    Local Time:4:05 PM

Level 6 has just begun, and the field is at 40 entries for prizes of $19k. Entries remain open for another three levels, plus the dinner break, putting the end of entries just shy of 2 hours away.

  • Nearly 40 Entries to Start Level 5

    Level:5 (300/500/500)
    Entries:35/39
    Prizes:$18,525
    Local Time:3:35 PM

The players are back in action after the first break of the day, and there are four more levels of entry. The registration desk is set to close at the start of Level 9, which would have been about 5:45 PM based on the schedule. However, it looks like the game is a bit behind schedule today, so the desk may be open a bit later than advertised.

  • 31 Entries Before First Break

    Level:4 (200/400/400)
    Entries:29/31
    Prizes:$14,725
    Local Time:3:00 PM

About 15 minutes remain until the first break of the day, and the field is at 31 entries for prizes of almost $15k. Entries are open for about 2.5 hours, with the desk set to close at 5:45 PM.

  • $560 NLH is the Main Game on Wednesday

    Date:May 13, 1 PM
    Blinds:30 Minutes
    Starting Stack:30k
    Late Entry:9 Levels (~5:45 PM)
    Day 1 Ends:One-Day Event

The main game on Wednesday is the $560 NLH. Action gets going at 1 PM, and players sit down with 30k in chips. Blinds will last 30 minutes through the day, until heads up drops them to 20 minutes.

The entry desk is open for 8 levels, and will close at about 5:45 PM when they return from the dinner break following Level 8. This is a one-day event, so they’ll hand out a trophy before the day ends.

    DJ Sharma, winner of E11

In the opening PPT of 2026, local business tycoon DJ Sharma took down this event over Matthew Ouellette heads up. They were the top from 99 entries for a prize pool just under $50k. I’m pretty sure Sharma won’t be around to defend this one, as he said he was heading to Montreal this week to follow his beloved Canadians in their playoff run. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him fly back JUST to defend a title.

  • Brian MacNevin Defeats Shawn Taghavi for E11 Trophy

  • 14 Off the Money

    Level:12 (1500/2500/2500)
    Entries:21/61
    Prizes:$28,975
    Local Time:7:45 PM

The main game is down to 21 players left, with just under 20 minutes to play in Level 12. There is a break following this level, and I’ll try to get a full look at the chips and players when they are away from the table.

  • Final Three Tables

    Level:10 (1000/1500/1500)
    Entries:27/61
    Prizes:$28,975
    Local Time:7:00 PM

The main game today is now down to 27 players on the final three tables. That puts them 20 eliminations away from the money spots, so it looks like several hours before they’ll get close to the bubble.

    Entries:32/61
    Prizes:$28,975
    Local Time:6:05 PM

    Entries:31/54
    Prizes:$25,650
    Local Time:5:00 PM

There are still issues with the clock, but the field is now up to 53 entries for prizes of $25,560. I’ve just had a quick count of the bodies in seats, and it looks like there are 31 players still alive in this one. Entries are open for a little more than an hour.
