2026 Pure Poker Tour Series #3 – Event #13: $340 NLH Bounty

It took 11 hours to finish out the $340 Bounty, but it could have taken a lot longer, if not for Russ Rimer’s red-hot run at the final table, and a three-way deal at the end. With the biggest field of the series, and unexpectedly long blinds, it was past 2 AM before they got to the money, and well after 3 when they got to the final table.

But then Russ Rimer, who was on his second final table in three days after coming 3rd in the Deepstack Hyper last night, went on a tear, knocking out 4 players in about 10 minutes. In one brutal example, he sent the former big stack Peter Darlington home in 5th with a straight flush over flush.

That left him with more than 3 million chips three ways. With only 3.9 in play, Razvan Radu and Pete Fylyma (who was with Rimer at the Deepstack Hyper FT last night, finishing runner-up) had a very tough hill to climb to get back into it. After about a level of three-way play, and with the stacks still roughly the same, they agreed to a deal just before 5 AM to shut it down.

Rimer took first-place money, but tossed a bounty chip over to Fylyma and Radu. Radu ended in second with $5,147 in prizes, an extra $100 from Rimer, and 3 bounties of his own, while Fylyma took third for $3,346 plus 6 bounties and Rimer’s extra $100.

Rimer ended with 9 bounties (after giving up two at the end in the deal) plus the $7,474 top prize

Fylyma limped in from the button, and Rimer checked his option in the big blind. They both checked the 9♥A♣10♦ flop, and Rimer check-called for 70k on the 6♣ turn. They both checked the 7♦ river, and while both players were drawing to clubs, Rimer’s Q♣9♣ was way ahead of Fylyma’s 7♣4♣.

Jeff Clarke got his money in with ace-king, but he ran into the red-hot Russ Rimer with pocket queens. The queens held on 8♥2♣3♥3♣10♦ and Clarke was out in 4th place, with an extra $600 in bounty bonus.

The money went in on the 6♦Q♥7♦7♥9♦ river, after Peter Darlington raised big, then faced a shove from Russ Rimer. Darlington tanked for a bit before calling with the jack-high flush, but Rimer was on the straight flush with 10♦8♦ for the win.

Darlington added $1,400 worth of bounties to hos cashout tonight.

Bash Ramahi got his money in with ace-jack, but ran into the ace-queen for Russ Rimer. Ramahi found a jack on the turn, but that was just the deck trolling him, as Rimer hit his queen on the river. Ramahi added $900 to the prizes with 9 bounties.

Jeff Clarke opened under the gun to 90k and Vikram Gill shoved the cutoff for 85k. It folded to Russ Rimer in the big blind and he called.

Rimer shoved the 9♠A♥J♥ flop, pushing Clarke out, and his ace-king was ahead of the queen-jack for Gill, and the 10♦3♦ runout didn’t change anything.

Russ Rimer raised to 60k from the cutoff, and Ye Ping Shan tank-called with less from the big blind. Shan was best with A♣9♣ agains A♦8♦ for Rimer, but Rimer found an eight on the 3♥8♣Q♣J♥6♠ board and that was all he needed. Shan grabbed a bounty tonight for an extra $100.

All remaining players are now guaranteed a four-figure payout of at least $1,235.

Vikram Gill started a limp-fest under the gun, and Peter Darlington, Pete Fylyma, and Ye Ping Shan followed suit before Bash Ramahi shoved his big blind for more than 200k. All the limpers folded.

“Like taking candy from a baby,” Ramahi joked, but then showed pocket tens to the table to prove he wasn’t messing around.

Jarret Gray shoved his small blind before Pete Fylyma looked down at his hand in the big blind and laughed. “I guess I call,” he said, flipping over pocket aces. Gray had ace-ten and flopped a ten on the 10♠7♣6♠J♠6♣ board, but it wasn’t enough to crack Fylyma’s aces.

Gray made back-to-back final tables after finishing second in the $560 NLH last night.

David Chau’s tens couldn’t hold against Bash Ramahi’s king-five offsuit when Ramahi found a king on the flop. Shortly after, Russ Rimer doubled through Derek Tempan, and Tempan hit the rail shortly after.

That puts the final nine players at the final table.

Razvan Radu opened to 35k under the gun, and Pete Fylyma shoved his button for 190k. Radu called it off with ace-queen of diamonds for a race against Fylyma’s jacks. The jacks held on the 5♦9♥2♣4♣6♦ board and Fylyma got the double.

Clayton Littke was the first player to collect money tonight from the NLH Bounty game. The final 15 players have moved to the poker room to finish the game out, and I’m expecting at least another 3 hours of poker before a winner is decided.

The bubble is over and the remaining 16 players are now in the money. Peter Darlington was the player to get them to the promised land after his fours full sent the bubble player home tonight.

If that number holds, it will mean 16 players getting a share of $28,860 in prizes, with an additional $15,600 in the bounty pool tonight. I’ll confirm all the numbers when the prizes are posted shortly – expect this game to go pretty late with the extended levels.

Level 9 is nearly complete, which means there are about 15 minutes left to enter the bounty game. It’s already the biggest field of the series, however, with 146 on the board before Level 9 ends. It’s likely there will be another few entries over the break, so this field could easily cap 150 entries.

The Bounty game is now just 10 entries away from matching the Seniors field, which was 145 and the biggest single-day field of the series so far. Prior to this game, the previous best field in a one-day game was 115 entries in the PLO Big Bounty, while Day 1b of Event #3 got 118 entries.

With 135 on the board for this one, and a full level to play with entries open, it seems like a good bet this one will end up bigger than the seniors game.

This game is now the biggest single-day, open-entry field of the series, and with 128 on the board already, and almost two full levels, plus a break, before entries close, the 145-entry Seniors game field is in jeopardy as well.

It looks like entries will be open a little later than 9:30 PM for this one. While the structure and the schedule both say this game is played with 20-minute blinds, the levels so far tonight have been 25 minutes, something that was just noticed. The rest of the game will be played at 25 minutes, despite the structure.

About 10 minutes remain in Level 6, with just under an hour to go until entries close at about 9:30 PM. So far, this is looking like it could be the biggest single-day event of the series, excluding the Seniors.

For open-entry games, the record for one-day event fields so far in this series is 115 in the PLO Big Bounty, and with 110 here already, it looks like that will be beat. The Seniors got 145, so that number doesn’t look to be in jeopardy, and the only other single-day field over 115 was Day 1b of the multi-flight Event #3.

The Bounty game is up to 86 entries as Level 5 is about to kick off. That puts the combined prizes just shy of $25k with $15,910 of that waiting for payouts later today. They’ll take a break following Level 5, then return for 4 more levels of poker with the entry desk open.
