Heads up lasted for almost a level. Dwayne Wong started with the chip lead, but Chen Qin quickly doubled back when he rivered a spade draw to crack Wong’s eights and take over the lead. After a ew smaller pots, Wong doubled back with another pair, sixes this time, against a suited king for Qin. This time the flush didn’t come, and Wong’s sixes held.

That put them roughly even in chips, and they decided to chop it down the middle. Qin took the official win, which was a little sweeter because he also got an extra $100 from his buddies, George Yang (3rd) and Robin Yuo (6th), for winning their last longer side bet.

The last longer is down to 2 players remaining (the field is at 5) after George Yang sent Robin Luo home. Yang shoved the small blind, and Luo tank-called the big blind. Yang joked that Luo’s ace-four should have been a snap and that he’d “probably lose” against Yang’s nine-eight.

Sure enough, Yang hit the eight on J♦8♣2♥2♣3♥, and Luo was out in 6th place, with the last longer now between Yang and Chen Qin.

Dwayne Wong raised the button to 35k, and Chen Qin called from the big blind. Qin bet 25k on the 10♠7♥8♥ flop and Wong called to the 4♥ turn.

Qin fired 45k and got the call to the 4♠ river, where both players checked. Qin showed J♦10♥ for flopped top pair, and the turned heart draw, while Wong mucked his hand.

George Yang only entered this event because a couple of his buddies were in it, and they decided to make a “Last Longer” bet between them. That was back before the money, and all three are still alive in the final six. Robin Luo and Chen Qin are the other two players fighting for the side bet tonight, with Qin currently sitting on the biggest stack on the final table, and leading the side bet.

The final table moved quickly once they hit the money, with the field now down to 6 remaining while I was processing the pictures. Below are all 10 final table players, with a list of busts below that.

Haven Taylor is running hot tonight. She perpetrated a bit of “domestic violence” earlier in the night, taking out her husband Thomas Taylor, and she just sent Barry Middlebrook to the rail in 13th place with deuces.

The prizes are in, and the field is confirmed at 95 entries. That means 10 players will get paid tonight, with the top spot set at $6,320. There are 36 players still alive, so it could be a late one, though the average stack at the moment is only about 15 bigs, so that could speed things up a bit.

The entries are closed for the penultimate game of the series, with 95 entries on the board. I’m still waiting for the prizes to confirm the numbers, but there should be 10 paid spots tonight, splitting $22,563 in prizes.

The Saturday side game is the second-to-last game of the series. For $280, players get 25k in chips to play 20-minute Levels. Entries are open for 9 levels of poker, which puts the end of entries at 10:30 PM. After that, they play down to a winner, with 10% of the field getting paid.

Last Summer, Ramaz Haymour took down Event #16 over 75 entries for the biggest share of $17,814 in prizes. This past Spring, Terry Chow was part of a six-way deal to end the night, taking the win over 96 entries for the biggest share of $22,800 in prizes.
