Elle Brezina was pretty happy to survive the bubble with just one big blind. She was forced all-in from the big blind shortly after the bubble burst, and had to face down three players.
Gord Chen isolated on the flop when he flopped an ace, and Brezina, who hadn’t looked at her cards yet, flipped them over to find a pair of nines and a straight draw. She ran out to the straight, and got a massive boost to her chips, going from 6k to 31k in the hand, though she folded her small blind in the next hand to drop to 28k.
