The 1b field is now more than half the size of the total 1a field, and Level 1 is still ongoing. The field is already at 30 entries and climbing, putting the combined prizes just a couple of entries shy of $50k.
The early pace today seems promising for a decent field, but it’s been hard to predict field sizes this time around. It looks like 100 entries for today is well within reason, but time will tell.
Among the early players I’ve spotted so far are Shawn Taghavi. Preston Stevenson, Erci Wasylenko, Matthew Ouellette, Seniors champ Saroar Parvez, Brenda Robertson, Holly Lingul, Michael St. Pierre-Porter, Andy Perry, Brett Doty, Ali Razzaq, Rob Limpert, and defending champ Brad Bishop. Bishop bagged Day 1, but after a late-day cooler where his queens lost a race to ace-king, he only put 88k into his 1a bag, so he’s back today looking for a bigger one.
