It was another thrilling day of poker action on August 5 at the Alea Casino, Glasgow, as Day 3 of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Glasgow saw the final table of the £150 Mini Main Event set, and James McAulay and Sharaz Moad become the latest PartyPoker Tour champions.

A record-breaking field of 701 entries created a huge £87,625 prize pool, and 105 players returned for the penultimate day with David Doherty in the lead, and a £300 payday secured.
The knockouts came at a rapid pace, as players such as Jason McDonald and Marc Brown suffered early exits, while reigning Glasgow Main Event champion Zhen Zhen also came unstuck.
Andrew Hawksby vaulted into a massive lead when he was on the right side of a huge aces versus kings cooler against fellow big stack Brian Etheridge.
The field continued to be thinned in rapid fashion, and by the second break three tables were left, with Hawksby joined by Mark Johnston at the top of the standings, with Hutchins not far behind.
Hutchins was left with dust after he doubled David Mackie, but rallied to mount an epic comeback. First, he pipped Vladyslaw Mudryk to dispose of the Ukrainian, before he picked up kings to double against Edoardo Mancinelli’s jacks.
Then, in a three-way all-in scenario, Hutchins made quad sevens to overcome Steven Queen’s ace-king and Callum Reid’s pocket queens.
Max Sinclair secured a crucial triple-up in a hand where Craig McCairns busted Niall Farrell in the side pot in eleventh, and the final table was set when Hawksby exited to Hutchins with a dominated ace.
The players will return at 4 p.m. on August 6 for the final table, all with their eyes firmly set on the £16,250 first-place prize, with the seat draw as follows:-
