Tomas Bulkšas Leads into Day 2 of OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Spring Edition €555 NLH Championship

poker.pro is delighted to be back in the historic Latvian capital of Riga to provide extensive coverage of the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Autumn Edition.

The festival is in full flow at Olympic Voodoo Casino, with five champions already crowned, and poker.pro will be on the floor covering all the action for the remainder of the festival as attention turns to the showpiece events, the €555 NLH Championship and the €1,100 Main Event.

Two starting flights of the €555 NLH Championship have already been completed, and we pick up the action from the start of Day 2, which kicks off at noon today, September 23. The starting flights attracted a total of 75 entries, creating a €35,625 prize pool, with 22 players managing to negotiate twelve 40-minute levels to progress to Day 2.

Those figures will rise further, with registration remaining open until the start of Level 15, while players who register on Day 2 will sit down to a 30,000 starting stack, with the clock set to 40-minute levels.

The Day 2 qualifiers are led by Tomas Bulkšas of Lithuania (225,000), with Gatis Reigass (212,000) and Ēriks Krūmiņš (141,500), both of Latvia, his closest challengers, and the leaderboard featuring plenty of big names from the Baltic poker scene.

Bulkšas is hunting his third OlyBet trophy, while Reigass is targeting his second win of the festival, after going wire-to-wire in the €250 NLH Opener to secure a €5,638 payday.

Krumins is also no stranger to OlyBet success, with two victories at previous Showdown festivals in Riga among his five recorded tournament wins, which include two WSOP Circuit Tallinn gold rings, namely the 2024 WSOP Circuit Tallinn €250 NLH Opening Event for €31,620 and the 2025 WSOP Circuit Tallinn €350 Online Ring Event for €11,162. 

Normunds Rumba of Latvia claimed the trophy in the equivalent event in the Spring Edition, overcoming a 181-entry field to claim the first-place prize of €19,435, after defeating fellow countryman Vladislavs Petrovs heads-up.

The first flight of the €1,100 Main Event also gets underway at 4 p.m., where players will sit down to a 40,000 starting stack, with the clock set to 40-minute levels. Players will have to negotiate twelve 40-minute levels to progress to Day 2, while late registration remains open until the start of Level 15 in Day 2.
