Day 1b of the Main Event is set for Saturday at noon, and the flight could see 200 or more entries, based on the interest in Day 1a. 118 entries were recorded for the opening flight, with 19 bags at the end of 15 levels. Note that this game is not guaranteed to play to 10%, and Day 1a ended with almost 20% of the field still remaining, so Day 2 will not start in the money.
James Harnden is the leader after the opening flight, with 462k. Sam Gottiparthi is right behind with 459k, while Jo Teliani also bagged more than 400k for 3rd.
Day 1b is a redo of Day 1a, with 40-minute blinds and a 40k starting stack. Players can buy in or rebuy for 12 levels, with the cutoff at about 9:30 PM. After that, they’ll play to 10% or the end of Level 15, whichever comes first.
