Kjaer, Modāns, Grīslis and Bashir Win Saturday Titles as Bulkšas Eyes OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Main Event Glory

Four side event titles were decided on Saturday at the OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Autumn Edition, with Kim Kirkeby Kjaer, Dāvis Modāns, Raivo Grīslis and Mariam Bashir adding their names to the winners’ list.

Sunday brings the biggest prize of all, as nine players return to Olympic Casino Voodoo in Riga to fight it out for the €1,100 Main Event trophy and €19,380 top prize, with Lithuania’s Tomas Bulkšas sitting on a commanding chip lead heading into the final day.

It’s also goodbye to Riga for another season. The OlyBet circuit moves on to Tallinn for the Kings of Tallinn, running October 9-17, with another full slate of events.

Kim Kirkeby Kjaer Wins the €200 NLH Mini Main Event

Denmark’s Kim Kirkeby Kjaer topped a field of 125 entries to take the €200 NLH Mini Main Event title and its €4,383 first-place prize. Ukraine’s Nazarii Soltys ran it deep to finish runner-up for €2,830, while Latvia’s Edgars Beizaks secured third place and €2,050.

Dāvis Modāns Wins the €200 PLO4/PLO5

Latvia’s Dāvis Modāns took down the €200 PLO4/PLO5, beating a 42-entry field for the €2,313 top prize. Fellow Latvian Eldārs Sadih-Zade finished second for €1,490, with Israel’s Adi Barouch El completing the podium in third for €1,090.

Modāns, an experienced professional poker player, is no stranger to the winner’s circle at Olympic Casino Voodoo, having claimed the €250 PLO4/PLO5 Progressive Bounty title at the Spring 2026 edition, defeating fellow Latvian Edgars Beizaks heads-up to take home €1,935 plus bounties from a 78-entry field.

Raivo Grīslis Wins the €350 NLH OlyBet Mystery Bounty

Latvia’s Raivo Grīslis claimed the €350 NLH OlyBet Mystery Bounty title, topped a 25-entry field, and collected €1,443 in prize pool money. Four players returned on the second and final day already in the money, with mystery bounty envelopes set to be opened.

Fellow Latvian Romans Malehotko finished runner-up for €1,010, while Lithuania’s Artūras Tiščenka took third for €650, and Latvia’s Edgars Pudāns rounded out the paid spots in fourth for €510. The figures below do not include mystery bounty prizes.

Mariam Bashir Wins the €150 NLH Queens Progressive Bounty

The €150 NLH Queens Progressive Bounty brought the women’s game to the forefront at Olympic Casino Voodoo, and Pakistan’s Mariam Bashir emerged victorious from an 18-entry field to claim the title and €493 from the prize pool plus bounties.

Latvia’s Egita Segliņa matched that prize pool figure in second place, also banking €493, although she missed out on the trophy and the big bounty at the end. Jana Smelēna of Latvia completed the podium in third for €337. The figures below do not include bounty prizes.

Tomas Bulkšas Leads Final 9 in Main Event

Nine players return to Level 22 (6,000/12,000/12,000) at noon on Sunday to resume the €1,100 Main Event final table, with the bubble still live as the day begins. Lithuania’s Tomas Bulkšas enters with 877,000 chips, a commanding lead over France’s Baptiste Caim at 475,000 and Belarus’s Ryhor Karapanau at 312,000.

Bulkšas has more than $250,000 in career cashes, including the Kings of Vilnius High Roller title. Caim owns four OlyBet trophies but nothing close to the €19,380 awaiting the winner here. Karapanau, 51st on Belarus’s all-time money list, won the OlyBet Christmas Series Main Event in Riga in 2025.

The final table also includes OlyBet Showdown Vilnius Main Event champion Jurgis Beinoras of Lithuania (218,000), two-time WSOPC ring winner Ēriks Krūmiņš of Latvia (118,000) and Latvia’s Eduards Rakuss (236,000), who ranks fifth on the Latvian all-time money list. Latvia’s Roberts Rumba (142,000) and Sweden’s Baris Borsa (110,000) are in the mix, while Raivo Grīslis of Latvia sits as the short-stack at just 32,000, two big blinds. Yes, the same Raivo Grīslis who won the Mystery Bounty on Saturday.
