Tomas Bulksas of Lithuania has been crowned as the OlyBet Showdown €1,100 Main Event champion at the Olympic Voodoo Casino in Riga, after he converted his final day chip lead into the title in dominating fashion, sealing a €18,217 payday.

Only three hours of play were required to leave Bulksas as the last player standing from nine combatants, the key hand undoubtedly being a brutal kings versus queens cooler against his closest challenger, Baptiste Caim, which sent the Frenchman tumbling out in sixth.

    Baptiste Caim
    Baptiste Caim

The hand gave the champion 1.4 million of the 2.5 million chips in play, and he completely dominated proceedings from there. Although Bulksas still had a significant lead with three left, he was content to agree to an ICM deal with Eduards Rakuss of Latvia and Ryhor Karapanau of Belarus that reduced the variance, and left the destination of the final €4,032 of the prize pool and the trophy to be decided.

Despite hitting a couple of bumps in the road, Bulksas maintained his composure and sealed the deal by eliminating both of his final opponents, securing his third OlyBet trophy in the process, after his victories in the Kings of Vilnius High Roller and OlyBet Chipstorm Progressive Bounty, both in November 2025.

Bulksas exploded onto the Baltic poker scene at the start of 2025, and has racked up 33 results for recorded cashes of $252,833 in that timeframe, becoming a feared foe at the tables.

    €1,100 Main Event Full Results

The event attracted a total of 63 entries to create a €59,850 prize pool, and eight places were paid as detailed below:

    Winner’s Reaction

Bulksas was delighted to be standing with another OlyBet trophy, and said “It was a tough final table, there were some very good players, but I was fighting for every chip, so I won! The kings versus queens was crucial of course.”

On his stellar results in the last 24 months, Bulksas said “Yes I’ve been studying more, but I love this game, so I always try my best, it’s my life, so thankfully it’s been like this.”

Bulksas confirmed the Kings of Tallinn festival was next on his agenda, and it would be no surprise to see him lift further silverware there.

    Final Day Recap

Nine players returned for the final table, with the bubble in play, and Bulksas held a commanding lead over Caim and Karapanau.

Despite that, victory for Bulksas was far from certain, with his opponents including OlyBet Showdown Vilnius Main Event champion Jurgis Beinoras, two-time WSOPC ring winner Eriks Krumins and Rakuss, who sits fifth in the Latvian all-time money list.

Fireworks erupted in the very first hand, as Roberts Rumba woke up with jacks, Erik Krumins with rockets, and short-stack Raivo Grislis with ace-queen. All the chips hit the middle preflop, and Krumins held, sending Grislis to the rail on the bubble, and leaving Rumba with crumbs.

Rumba was forced all-in from the big blind in the next hand, and exited in eighth to Karapanau. Krumins disposed of short-stack Baris Borsa shortly after, before Rakuss secured a huge double through Karapanau, rivering a flush against his opponent’s bottom set.

Karapanau quickly bounced back, doubling immediately via Caim, and then Krumins, while just before the first break, Bulksas showed a big river bluff against Beinoras.

Caim was second in the standings, and on the return, he three-bet jammed 28 big blinds over Bulksas’ under the gun open. Caim was shocked when Bulksas snap-called given the ICM implications, and was devastated to see his queens had two outs versus Bulksas’ kings, sending the Frenchman crashing out in sixth.

Bulksas commandeered his chip lead expertly, applying constant pressure to his opponents and taking pot after pot uncontested, with his adversaries in ICM jail.

Krumins’ tilt at the title came to an end in fifth when he ran into Karapanau’s aces in a button versus small blind spot, and he was quickly followed out the door by short-stack Beinoras, who fell to Bulksas.

The deal was quickly agreed, and Karapanau and Rakuss battled hard to overcome the deficit, with Karapanau taking the lead for a brief period, but Bulksas quickly retook control.

Eduards Rakuss – Flush for Rakuss
    Eduards Rakuss (Photo: Laura Baropa)

Karapanau busted in third after his top pair ran into Bulksas’ overpair, giving the champion a 10:1 lead over Rakuss at the start of heads-up play.

Rakuss doubled in the first hand, and dodged the world to do so again, but Bulksas maintained his composure, and the contest ended when Rakuss’ queen-high could not overcome Bulksas’ ace-high.

That concludes our coverage of this event, but be sure to check out our other reporting from tournaments across the world.

Tomas Bulksas of Lithuania (877,000) powered to the top of the standings during the course of an intense Day 2, and he holds a signifcant lead over his closest challenger, Baptiste Caim of France (475,000), while Ryhor Karapanau of Belarus (312,000) completes the podium places.

Kings of Vilnius High Roller winner Bulksas has recorded over $250,000 in cashes during the course of his career, while Caim has four OlyBet trophies in his cabinet, although a win here would be far his biggest live score. Karapanau, 51st in the Belarusian all-time money list, also has an OlyBet trophy at home after winning the Christmas Series Main Event in Riga in 2025.

A tough battle is set to ensure, as the final table includes plenty of quality players, including OlyBet Showdown Vilnius Main Event champion Jurgis Beinoras (218,000), two-time WSOPC ring winner Eriks Krumins (118,000) and Eduards Rakuss (236,000), who sits fifth in the Latvian all-time money list.

After an intense ten hours of poker action in Day 2, the €1,100 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Autumn Edition Main Event has been reduced to its final nine players, with play concluding on the direct bubble, after numerous short-stack doubles in the final session.

The tournament gained a total of 63 entrants, creating a €59,850 prize pool, with eight places to be paid, and €19,380 reserved for the champion.

Kings of Vilnius High Roller champion Tomas Bulksas of Lithuania (877,000) came into the final table with the chip lead, and as cagey play reigned, made hay while the sun shone to establish a significant lead over his closest challenger, start of day chip leader Baptiste Caim of France (475,000).

The bubble has already lasted almost three hours, and plenty of other quality players remain in contention, including OlyBet Showdown Vilnius Main Event champion Jurgis Beinoras (218,000), two-time WSOPC ring winner Eriks Krumins (118,000), Eduards Rakuss (236,000), who sits fifth in the Latvian all-time money list, and OlyBet Christmas Series Main Event winner Ryhor Karapanau (312,000).

    Recap of Day 2 Action

A total of 23 players had qualified from 48 entrants across the two starting flights, led by Caim, and they were supplemented by 15 Day 2 entrants to arrive at the final figures.

    Baptiste Caim

The action was fast and furious, and by the time late registration closed, only 23 players were still seated, with Caim still at the top of the standings. Amazingly, after a further seven hours of play, almost half that field is still standing.

Bulksas started to make his move up the leaderboard when he secured a big double against Krumins with a superior pair. It looked like the wheels may have started to come off for Caim when he doubled opponents in successive hands, but he managed to recover.

By the third break it was Bulksas and Krumins in front, and 13 players remained. A flurry of eliminations occurred on the return, with Saku Naesman, Matti Lasanen and Tomas Dailidonis all departing to bring on the final table bubble.

The final table was set when Karapanau turned a two-outer against Janis Katkevics, and Bulksas held a reasonable lead over Karapanau, while Roberts Rumba was the short stack.

Cagey play was the order of the day, and Bulksas took full advantage to pressure opponents and pick up plenty of pots uncontested.

Rumba doubled via Karapanau to stay in it, and then repeated the feat in successive hands against Karapanau and Bulksas.

Suddenly the short-stack pressure was transferred to Rakuss, and he too improved his position by securing a triple-up with queens.

That left Grislis as the clear short-stack, and while he was tempted to commit his chips to the middle in the last hand of the day, he elected to live to fight tomorrow.

The final day kicks off at noon on September 27, and poker.pro will be on the floor until a champion is crowned, so stay tuned for all your coverage of the action!

    Adi El Barouch: A♣K♠
    Egidijus Matonis: Q♥Q♦

It was the classic race, and El Barouch made trip kings across the K♣7♣4♠K♥3♥ runout to double.

At another table, a big pot had brewed between Janis Katkevics and Eriks Krumins.

Krumins called a bet of 30,000 into a pot of roughly 140,000 on the river, and mucked when Katkevics turned over a set of nines on a king-high board.

    Adi El Barouch – 81,000

    Roberts Krigers: J♥J♣
    Eriks Krumins: K♦K♣

Krigers was crushed, but he found a two-outer on the A♠Q♦J♠ flop.

The 10♦ rolled off on the turn to give Krumins the broadway straight, but it was followed by the Q♥ river to give Krigers the full house, to gasps of shock from the table.

Krigers clapped his hands and shouted “Yes!”, almost more in disbelief than celebration, and offered his condolences to Krumins when he sat back down, who accepted them graciously.

There was 27,000 in the middle on a flop of 10♣4♠2♠, in a hand between Baris Borsa and Gints Ozols.

Borsa fired out a bet of 12,000, and after a decent spell in the tank, Ozols raised to 35,000, leaving himself 30,000 behind.

Borsa didn’t take long before three-bet jamming with the covering stack, and Ozols called off.

    Gints Ozols: J♠J♦
    Baris Borsa: A♠K♠

Ozols was ahead, but had to dodge plenty of outs against Borsa’s overcards and flush draw.

The 6♣ turn was a brick, but the A♣ hit on the river to send Borsa the pot, and Ozols to the rail.

Ozols threw his hands up in disgust and shook his head forlornly as he exited the table.

    Baris Borsa – 230,000

A pot of 48,000 had brewed by the river on a board of 9♦6♥3♠5♦7♠, in a button versus big blind spot between Baris Borsa and Egidijus Matonis.

Matonis checked, and Borsa fired out a bet of 22,000, sending Matonis into the tank.

Matonis, who had 37,500 behind, spent at least three minutes counting out his stack, peering at the board, and giving his opponent periodic sideway glances. Eventually he said “I don’t know what to do”, and folded.

    Baris Borsa – 138,000

Darius Narmontas was in the big blind, just covering his opponent, and spent a fair bit of time in the tank before making a somewhat reluctant call.

    Eduards Rakuss: K♥J♥
    Darius Naromontas: K♣10♠

Rakuss had Narmontas pipped, and his better kicker played as both players rivered a king on the 9♥4♦2♠6♠K♠ runout.

Dailidonis led out with a bet of 20,000, and Caim was in the tank.

After a while he shook his head, and said “You’ll show if I fold?” Dailidonis shrugged and said “One.”

He may have been better keeping quiet, as Caim immediately called, and Dailidonis said “Good call”, and mucked his hand, Caim taking the pot without having to show his cards.

Caim now appears to be the chip leader, while Dailidonis’ previously huge stack has dwindled significantly.

Caim responded with a raise to 12,200, and both Jensen and Zakas got out of the way.

Bulksas called however to see the 3♠ river, where he checked, and was faced with a bet of 16,600 from Caim.

The A♥9♣3♦ flop was checked to the Q♠ turn, where action was checked to Vaiciulionis.

He fired out a bet of 4,500, and Bulksas called, before Bashir check-jammed for 15,600.

Both of her opponents called to see the 3♣ river. Vaiciulionis checked to Bulksas, who slid out a bet of 17,500. Vaiciulionis hated the spot he found himself in, and after around 90 seconds of contemplation, flashed the A♠ as he folded.

Bashir confidently tabled A♣3♥ for the full house, but Bulksas had a better one with 9♠9♣ in a brutal hand.

His final opponents included 2026 OlyBet Showdown Vilnius Main Event champion Jurgis Beinoras, two‑time WSOP Circuit ring winner Eriks Krumins, and an in‑form Egidijus Matonis, fresh off a fifth‑place finish at the recent WSOP Circuit Tallinn Main Event. None, however, could halt Bagocius’ march to the title.

A deal was discussed three‑handed between Bagocius, Matonis and Modans, with Bagocius the relative short stack, but no agreement was reached. When play resumed, Bagocius appeared reenergized and quickly built momentum, eliminating Matonis after flopping a full house, while his opponent was drawing dead with a wrap draw.

That gave Bagocius an almost 4:1 lead entering heads‑up play. Modans battled valiantly in pursuit of a home‑soil victory, but Bagocius would not be denied. After showing a big bluff to leave Modans reeling, the Lithuanian sealed the deal when he got it in good and rivered an unnecessary nut flush.

    Winner’s Reaction

Bagocius was delighted to be standing with the trophy, and reflected “I mean live poker is another scene compared with online poker, I’d really love to translate my online success to live and I think I’m on way to do that, but the goal is always to go higher.

The final table was tough, some really good players from the Baltics, so it was a very competitive final table. It was a real rollercoaster ride. I lost the chip lead five-handed, but I won some crucial spots and things were going my way. When you run good you start playing good, you find the necessary bluffs, you find the folds when you have to, it’s easier to play when you run good, so that’s the secret of winning poker tournaments!”

On the deal discussions, Bagocius commented “I had the short stack but it was close, and I wanted an even chop. They didn’t agree and I wasn’t happy with the ICM numbers so we decided to play on, and it went my way, so yes very happy.”

Bagocius still had plenty of appetite for action, and was already holding a ticket for the €250 PLO4/5 Progressive Bounty side event, and went on the hunt for a second trophy of the day.

    Final Day Recap

A total of 75 entries were gained across the two starting flights, with 22 players qualifying for Day 2, and they were led by Lithuanian Tomas Bulksas, pursued by Latvian duo Gatis Reigass and Krumins.

    Tomas Bulksas

They were joined by 19 Day 2 entrants, increasing the prize pool to €44,650. By the time late registration closed, 26 players remained in contention for 11 paid places, with Modans and Bulksas at the top of the counts.

Beinoras coolered Matonis, who bounced straight back to double through Modans, before Girts Niedritis claimed the knockouts of Mathias Christensen and Roberts Krigers to bring on the bubble. Start-of-day chip leader Bulksas was the unfortunate player to leave empty-handed, crashing out via a brutal queens versus aces cooler against Lasse Melby.

From there, Bagocius began his charge, eliminating Patriks Svinka and Hendrik Uibo to set the final table. The Uibo bust-out was particularly cruel, with Uibo flopping a set when all-in against Bagocius’ top pair, only for the champion to go runner-runner to make broadway.

Bagocius entered the final table with a substantial lead over Niedritis, with Matonis, Modans and Melby tightly grouped behind. He secured the first knockout by dispatching short-stack Tomas Dalidonis, who was quickly followed out the door by Finn Jari Mahonen.

Matonis made a set against the eventual champion to inflict damage, before he surged into the chip lead at the third break, where seven players remained in contention.

Egidijus Matonis – Matonis Bounces Back
    Egidijus Matonis

On the resumption, Bagocius sent Niedritis and Krumins to the payout desk when he held while comfortably ahead, before Melby’s run ended after he ran into the made hand of Matonis. Beinoras fell in fourth, becoming the sixth player to be eliminated by Bagocius, after the Lithuanian hero-called a river bluff on an ace-paired board.

The final trio paused for deal discussions, with the stacks almost even, but Modans slightly ahead and Bagocius bringing up the rear. No agreement was reached, with Bagocius’ proposal of an equal chop rejected, and the winner unhappy with the ICM figures.

Bagocius quickly retook the lead, and then eliminated Matonis when his foe jammed the turn while drawing dead, giving Bagocius a commanding advantage over Modans heads-up.

Despite the Latvian’s best efforts, Bagocius could not be stopped, and he sealed the deal in relatively quick fashion.

That concludes our coverage of this event. We will return at 4 p.m. on September 24 for Day 1b of the Main Event, and a full recap of today’s side event action will follow, so stay tuned to poker.pro!

The €555 NLH Championship Final Table is underway at Olympic Voodoo Casino. With 94 entries in the books and a €44,650 prize pool, the field has been trimmed to nine players, and one of them will walk away with €13,115, the largest first-place prize awarded so far at the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Autumn Edition. Mantas Bagočius leads with 725,000, more than the next two stacks combined. Tomas Dailidonis is in immediate danger with just 24,000, barely four big blinds.

    The Final Nine

Lithuania Mantas Bagočius – 725,000: The big stack and the most decorated player in the field. Won the Kings of Vilnius €1,100 Main Event in November 2025 for €58,130 from 327 entries after a marathon 10-hour final day. One of Lithuania’s most prominent online MTT players. Enters the final table with nearly double the second-place stack.

Latvia Ģirts Niedrītis – 516,000: The deepest live tournament run of Niedrītis’s recorded career. An OlyBet regular from Latvia, he built his stack late in the day with back-to-back eliminations inside a single level. Everything from here is a new benchmark.

Egidijus Matonis – Matonis Bounces Back
    Egidijus Matonis

Lithuania Egidijus Matonis – 380,000: The form player in the field. Led the 2026 WSOP Circuit Tallinn €1,500 Main Event final table chip counts before finishing 5th for €49,300 after four knockouts on Day 3. Active across the Lithuanian circuit throughout 2026.

Latvia Dāvis Modāns – 369,000: The most internationally active player at the table. Finished 9th in the 2025 WSOP $5,000 Mystery Bounty PLO for $33,280 and 6th at the Battle of Malta 2025 for €48,450. Won the €250 PLO4/PLO5 Progressive Bounty at the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Riga Spring Edition. Just returned to Riga after making the trip to the Diamond Poker Series in Tallinn last week.

Norway Lasse Melby – 379,000: The only non-Baltic player at the table, based in Nybergsund, Norway. $51,576 in confirmed live earnings, best cash $8,569. A regular on the Baltic festival circuit with a 7th-place finish in the Festival Weekend Tallinn TORSES €555 Mixed Games Main Event in July 2026.

Finland Jari Mahonen – 121,000: Twenty big blinds. The Finnish player reached the final nine despite a short stack that will demand early action. Needs a double quickly to stay relevant.

Lithuania Jurgis Beinoras – 150,000: Won the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Vilnius €1,100 Main Event in May for €24,995 after a deal from 121 entries. Already put a cooler on chip leader Matonis during the final day. With 25 big blinds and a title on the board this year, Beinoras knows how to close.

Latvia Ēriks Krūmiņš – 156,000: Two WSOPC gold rings: the 2024 WSOP Circuit Tallinn €250 NLH Opening Event for €31,620 from 788 entries and the 2025 WSOP Circuit Tallinn €350 Online Ring Event for €11,162. Led the final 10 in the 2025 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo AE Main Event before finishing 5th for €9,650. $168,093 in total live earnings. Short but dangerous, the deepest tournament pedigree at this table by some distance.

Eriks Krumins – Two Pair for Krumins
    Eriks Krumins

Lithuania Tomas Dailidonis – 24,000: Four big blinds. Dalidonis has been a consistent presence at Lithuanian OlyBet events throughout 2026, and his place at this final table reflects that, but the math is about as brutal as it gets. Needs a miracle double on the first hand or close to it.

    Payouts

The nine remaining players have all locked up at least €1,360 with their eyes on the trophy and the €13,115 top prize. Latvia’s Patriks Svinka finished 11th for €1,170, and Estonia’s Hendrik Uibo followed him to the rail in 10th for the same amount.

    Tomas Bulksas: Q♣Q♠

Two starting flights of the €555 NLH Championship have already been completed, and we pick up the action from the start of Day 2, which kicks off at noon today, September 23. Those figures will rise further, with registration remaining open until the start of Level 15, while players who register on Day 2 will sit down to a 30,000 starting stack, with the clock set to 40-minute levels.

The Day 2 qualifiers are led by Tomas Bulkšas of Lithuania (225,000), with Gatis Reigass (212,000) and Ēriks Krūmiņš (141,500), both of Latvia, his closest challengers, and the leaderboard featuring plenty of big names from the Baltic poker scene.

Bulkšas is hunting his third OlyBet trophy, while Reigass is targeting his second win of the festival, after going wire-to-wire in the €250 NLH Opener to secure a €5,638 payday.

Normunds Rumba of Latvia claimed the trophy in the equivalent event in the Spring Edition, overcoming a 181-entry field to claim the first-place prize of €19,435, after defeating fellow countryman Vladislavs Petrovs heads-up.

Raivo Grislis opened to 17,000 under the gun, and received calls from Tomas Bulksas in the next seat and Ryhor Karapanau in the big blind.

Action was checked to Grislis on the A♠9♣2♠ flop, who continued with a bet of 17,000.

Only Bulksas called to see the K♠ turn, where Grislis double-barreled with a bet of 32,000.

Bulksas called and the J♠ rolled off on the river, bringing one-card flush possibilities.

Grilis had a peek at his cards, and slid out a bet of 45,000. He instantly regretted it when Bulksas raised to 130,000, forcing Grislis to fold.

As the players went on break, Grislis told Bulksas he had a set.
