Trevor “LAS-VEGAS” Delaney Wins Side Event for $5,380

Trevor “LAS-VEGAS” Delaney is the Side Game champion from KKLIve Montreal 2025. He was leading for most of the day, amassing 13 bounties along the way. My attention was focused on the Main Event, so I didn’t get to watch much of this one. The money play went very quickly, with the game ending less than an hour after they got into the money.
The final hand between Peter Poon and Delaney saw Poon’s shorter stack go in with ace-five of hearts, but he ran into queens for Delaney. The queens held despite Poon finding a five on the flop, and Delaney was proudly showing off his new trophy.

Level: 17 (6000/12000/12000) Entries: 1/61 Prizes: $15,394 (not incl bounty pool) Heads up was a short affair, with big stack Trevor “LAS-VEGAS” Delaney taking the win. Peter Poon was the short stack going into heads up, and he got the rest of his stack in with ace-five of hearts against queens for Delaney. Poon found a five on the flop, but there was no other help, and he couldn’t crack Delaney’s queens.

He bagged $1,373 for his work today. I am still cleaning up the end of the Main Event, but will be over to cover the end of that one shortly.

Jordan “JBanz” Banfield Wins KKLive Montreal 2025

The KKLive Montreal 2025 Main Event is now complete, and Calgary’s Jordan “JBanz” Banfield is the new champion. He took down the defending champ, Andy “thegoose” Goosen, heads up after starting the final phase at a deficit.
Banfield was short in heads up for most of the match, until he found a huge spot with ace-queen against Goosen’s jack-ten. The money went in on the river with Goosen covering Banfield by about 350k, but Banfield’s two pair was too strong for Goosen’s single pair. That left Goosen on fumes, and Banfield was hoisting the trophy a few minutes later.
-
Andy “thegoose” Goosen Out in 2nd Place for $12,670
Level: 30 (60000/120000/120000) Entries: 2/308 Prizes: $83,160
Andy Goosen Heads up was pretty quick. Andy “thegoose” Goosen started heads up with the chip lead, and held it through most of the two-way battle.
That changed in a big hand where Goosen limped the button, then called when Jordan “JBanz” Banfield raised it up to 350k. Banfield led for 200k on the 3♥A♥K♦ flop. Goosen called to the J♥ turn. Banfield fired 650k, and Goosen called.
The river was 5♦ and Banfield shoved 2.18 million. Goosen tanked for a minute or so before he slid in the call. Banfield showed A♠Q♥, which was better than the jack-ten for Goosen. That left Goosen on 350k, and it went in shortly after when he woke up with ace-five. Banfield called it off with ten-six, but flopped his ten and held to take down the game and deny Goosen his second straight KKLive Montreal title.
-
Sharath “SweetChinMusic” Maddur Out in 3rd Place for $7,840
Level: 29 (50000/100000/100000) Entries: 2/308 Prizes: $83,160
Sharath Maddur Sharath “SweetChinMusic” Maddur had been playing less than 10 bigs since the last break, and he’s managed to survive with shoves to pick up blinds and antes. That didn’t last, however, as he ran into the big stack, Andy “thegoose” Goosen, and hit the rail for 3rd place worth $7,840.
The game is now heads up between Goosen and Jordan “JBanz” Banfield with Goosen in the lead.

Two Off the Money in Side Event
The Side Event field is down to 7 remaining now, with the action in Level 13, and blinds at 2.5k/5k/5k. There are five paid spots, with the min-cash set at $1,373, so they are now two players away from hitting the payouts. It looks like Trevor Delaney is leading the way right now with more than 500k in front of him.
-
Corey “Muck’em” Chan Out in 4th Place for $5,700
Level: 28 (40000/80000/80000) Entries: 3/308 Prizes: $83,160

Level: 27 (30000/60000/60000) Entries: 4/308 Prizes: $83,160
Alex Patry The Main Event is down to 4 players left now. I missed the final action, but Alex Patry was short, playing about 10 big blinds, and he’d shoved a few times in the previous orbit to pick up blinds and antes.
The final four will be on a break shortly, and I’ll grab the current chip counts then.

Chan Doubles through Banfield
Level: 26 (25000/50000/50000) Entries: 5/308 Prizes: $83,160 Corey “Muck’em” Chan is the short stack, but he just doubled to almost 500k after his king-queen was able to win a race against the pocket jacks for Jordan “JBanz” Banfield. Chan flopped his queen and held through the board of Q♦7♥10♥4♠2♣.
-
Maddur Takes it on the River
Level: 26 (25000/50000/50000) Entries: 5/308 Prizes: $83,160 Andy “thegoose” Goosen raised the hijack to 100k, and Sharath “SweetChinMusic” Maddur called from the button. Goosen fired 70k on the Q♣5♠4♣ flop, and Maddur called to the 7♠ turn.
Goose fired again for 285k, and Maddur called. The river was the A♣, completing the club draw, and Goosen checked. Maddur burned a time bank card while making his decision to be 125k, and after a few seconds of thought, Goosen mucked his hand.

The prizes for the side event are in, and 5 players will be sharing in a bit more than $15.3k at the end of the night. They are down to 17 remaining out of the starting field of 61, so there’s still some poker to play before the payouts start happening.

Level: 25 (20000/40000/40000) Entries: 5/308 Prizes: $83,160
Michael Bach They are down to 5 now after Andy “thegoose” Goosen’s ace-eight held against his dominated queen-eight. Goosen had the big stack in the hand, and Bach hit the rail for 6th place.
-
Ryan Jensen Out in 7th Place for $2,770
Level: 25 (20000/40000/40000) Entries: 6/308 Prizes: $83,160
Ryan Jensen I missed the final hand for Ryan “FlushTheR1ver4Me” Jensen, but he was left with about 20 bigs after a big blind-on-blind confrontation with Andy Goosen. He hit the rail shortly after that hand was completed.
-
Jensen Gets Goosed
Level: 25 (20000/40000/40000) Entries: 7/308 Prizes: $83,160 In the final hand of Level 24, Ryan “FlushTheR1ver4Me” Jensen and Andy “thegoose” Goosen got into a blind war. It folded to Jensen in the small, and he limped in.
Goosen raised it up to 105k, then called off quickly when Jensen shoved a covering stack. Goosen was on ace-jack with 710k at risk against ace-three for Jensen, and a jack on the flop sent him even farther to the lead. Jensen turned a wheel draw, but bricked the river.
Goosen chipped up to about 1.5 million, while Jensen is down to about 800k.
-
Patry Doubles to Survive
Level: 24 (15000/30000/30000) Entries: 7/308 Prizes: $83,160 Alex “Passive_Menis” Patry shoved 300k, and Michael “HaiDoMo” Bach called with more. Bach’s queens were in trouble to the kings for Patry, and a king on the flop left Bach drawing to just two outs. No queen emerged from the deck on the turn, and Patry doubled to around 700k.
-
Maddur Forces Big Fold from Banfield
Level: 24 (15000/30000/30000) Entries: 7/308 Prizes: $83,160 Jordan Banfield raised his button to 65k, and Sharath Maddur called from the big blind. On the 9♣2♥2♠ flop, Maddur check-raised from 45k to 100k.
Banfield called to the Q♣. which both players checked. Maddur checked again on the A♠ river before Banfield bet 90k. Maddur check-shoved for 595k remaining after draining a time bank, and Bafield used a time bank himself before electing to fold ace-king for top-top.

Katie “AdoraBelle” Marshall Bubble Final Table
Level: 21 (6000/12000/12000) Entries: 10/308 Prizes: $83,160 I arrived late to the game with the board already out reading 5♥2♠7♠A♣6♥. Corey Chan shoved from the small blind for 612k, and after a time bank card was played, Katie “AdoraBelle” Marshall made the call with a bit more.
Her two pair with five-deuce was no good against the wheel+ straight for Chan with 4♥3♦. The pot doubled Chan to at least 1.5 million, while Marshall was left short and busted in 10th place on the following hand.
-
Down to 10 Left
Level: 21 (8000/16000/16000) Entries: 10/308 Prizes: $83,160 They are now on the final table bubble with 10 players left. The next elimination will set the final table at 9 players. Nico “ANVCO” Aguirre was the 11th-place player tonight.
While Aguirre was busting, the other table saw Katie “AdoraBelle” Marshall raise her button to 32k, but then fold to a 90k reraise from Corey Chan in the small blind.

Otterson Holds for a Double
Level: 20 (6000/12000/12000) Entries: 11/308 Prizes: $83,160 In one of the final hands of Level 20, Trevor Otterson opened to 27k under the gun. Both blinds called to the 5♥7♣J♠. Big Blind Mike Fitzpatrick checked before Otterson shoved 179k. Jordan Banfield mucked from the small blind, but Fitzpatrick called from the big.
He was dominated with queen-jack into king-jack for Otterson. Otterson called for the hold, and got it when the board ran out 8♣2♥, though Fitzpatrick turned a club draw before bricking the river. The hand doubled Otterson to nearly 400k, while Fitzpatrick was left short, and hit the rail in 12th place just before the break began.

Jensen Likes the Turn
Level: 20 (6000/12000/12000) Entries: 12/308 Prizes: $83,160 Ryan Jensen raised to 27k from the cutoff, and Sharath Maddur called from the button, as did Nico Aguirre from the big blind. The flop was 4♣2♣A♦, and it checked to Maddur, who fired 30k. Aguierre folded his big blind, but Jensen found the call to the 8♠ turn.
Jensen checked again, facing a bet of 60k from Maddur. Jensen check-raised it to 165k, and Maddur quickly mucked. “You got it,” he said quietly, almost as soon as the reraise was announced.

Banfield Keeps Chipping Up
Level: 20 (6000/12000/12000) Entries: 12/308 Prizes: $83,160 Jordan Banfield limped in for 12k from the button, and Mike Fitzpatrick & Trevor Otterson called from the blinds. It checked back to Banfield on the J♠5♠Q♥ flop, and his bet of 18k was enough to push the blinds out.
Meanwhile, Joon “DieSlow” Park was the 13th-place finisher today in the Main Event while the Banfield hand was playing out.

Goosen Chips Up
Level: 18 (4000/8000/8000) Entries: 18/308 Prizes: $83,160 The turn was already out when I arrived at the table with the board reading 10♣7♠2♣8♠. Both players in the blinds checked to Goosen on the cutoff. He fired 90k, about half the pot. That pushed out Todd Tyler from the button, as well as the big blind, but the small blind made the call to see [invalid notations] on the river.
After a check from the big blind, Goosen slid out 125k, but didn’t even get the full bet out before the small blind folded and sent the pot to Goosen.

35 Players in the House for Day 2 of KKLive Montreal 2025

KKLive Montreal 2025 Main Event
Date: Nov 22, noon Start Stack: 25k Blinds: 40/30 Min Entries: 35/308 Prizes: $83,160 The final day of action in KKLive Montreal is just hours away, and there are 35 players set to do battle at Hotel Universel in Montreal starting at noon on Saturday. Players from across Canada have been battling in online Day 1 flights for the past two months, with 40 official qualifiers for Day 2 action.
However, only 35 players will be sitting down for action on Saturday’s Day 2, as there were 5 double-bags in the field. Those players will get a min-cash to start their day for their smaller stacks, then sit down to play for the big money with their big stack.
The five double-stacks have just shy of 500k between them, putting the average stack going into Day 2 at almost 207k. There is just over $83k to be won, though I will update the full prize pool just before cards go in the air on Saturday.

Corey Chan They are down to three left after Carey Chan lost his short stack immediately after the break. I missed the action, but he barely had 5 big blinds in the new level.

Level: 28 (40000/80000/80000) Entries: 4/308 Prizes: $83,160 Ansy “thegoose” Goosen is leading the way in the final four. He is the defending champion from this event in 2024, and is looking to go back-to-back here tonight. See below for the full stacks.

-
Chan Doubles through Banfield

-
Otterson Holds for a Double

I should be on the floor from start to end for tomorrow’s action, and there’s more than JUST the Day 2 running. At 1 PM, the $2k freeroll kicks off for players who have completed the online challenge, but be aware that spots are limited to 70 entries on a first-come, first-served basis.
Freeroll registration starts at 11 am, so get there early to guarantee your pot. An hour after the freeroll begins, at 2 pm, the Side Event is running. It has a total of 388 entries for the 17 satellites, for prizes of nearly $16k, though the final number will depend on how many players with tickets actually play, since some may be running deep in the Main or Freeroll.
