2026 Spring Super Stack – Event #7: $340 1Day Deepstack NLH

The final two players decided to chop the money evenly at the end of the night, but they still played it out. In the final hand, it was ace-three of hearts for Ryan Soptak against queen-ten off for Josh Bennett. Soptak rivered a flush to take it all down.

Each player took $6,909 for the prizes, but Soptak took the win.

Caleb Simmons looked like he might be on the upswing from his short stack after Ryan Soptak shoved tens from the small and Simmons woke up with aces. He got the double on that hand, but then he shoved threes, and lost a race against the ace-ten of Josh Bennett. Bennett had him slightly outstacked, and Simmons was out in third.

Lucas Nickles, who said he is playing in just his second live tournament, just got a huge double through Caleb Simmons. Simmons raised with ace-king and hit an ace. Nickles defended with queen-eight and found a queen on the flop. The money went in, and Simmons looked to be bringing the game to 4 ways, but Nickles found an eight for two pair to grab a double into the lead.

All the money went in on the flop, after a raise from David Ballantine, and a call from Caleb Simmons preflop. The flop was 4♣10♠5♥ and Simmons check-raised from 60k to 150k, then called it off when Ballantine shoved.

Ballantine was on a gutshot to the wheel, with ace-deuce, while Simmons was on top pair with ace-ten. A♣9♣ on the runout kept Simmons ahead, and Ballantine was out in 6th place.

Ryan Soptak raised to 30k from the button, and Caleb Simmons called from the small blind. Simmons check-called for 35k on the [invalid notations] turn. After another check from Simmons, Soptak fired 50k, and Simmons called, but mucked when Soptak showed queen-deuce.

The 1Day field is down to 6 left now after Anthony Casten ended his day in 7th place.

Jeff Larmache was the first out in the money. He lost a flip with ace-queen against pocket eights for Lucas Nickles.

The main side game on Sunday is the 1-Day Deepstack, a turbo version of Event #3. Blinds are 25 minutes throughout the game, and players start with 25k in chips.

Entries are open for 10 levels, putting the last chance to buy in or rebuy at about 6:40 PM. After that, they’ll play to a winner before the night ends.

Last Spring, Shane Brotherwood was atop a four-way chop at the end of the night. The game drew 122 entries for prizes of $34,770. The Summer game saw 125 entries for prizes of $35,625, and Guneet Singh took down the big prize after a hand that is typically only seen in the movies to end a tournament – aces versus kings.
