Heads Up Deal
Level: 28 (50000/100000/100000) Entries: 2/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 1:35 AM The players moved up a blind level, skipping 40k/80k/80k, but once they started on 50k/100k/100k, they decided to chop and call it an evening. Jamie Martin had the big stack, so he took the win, while Osbert Liu took second. They both won $74,736.

Jamie Martin, winner of the Main

Liu Double; Martin Doubles Right Back
Level: 26 (30000/60000/60000) Entries: 2/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 1:15 AM The money went in on the 2♦5♠4♦ flop with Jamie Martin on a pair of fives with a wheel draw on ace-five, but Liu was drawing to diamonds with J♦8♦. Liu found his third diamond on the turn of 9♦8♥.
That put Liu to the lead with about 9 million to 3.5 million. On the very next hand, the money went in with Martin holding ace-king against queen-ten for Liu. Liu flopped a ten, but Martin flopped a king and held to put them back to even.
-
Eric Wasylenko Out in 3rd Place for $40,399
Level: 26 (30000/60000/60000) Entries: 2/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 1:10 AM
Eric Wasylenko Osbert Liu raised to 125k, and both Jamie Martin and Eric Wasylenko called. It checked to Liu on the 10♠Q♣8♠ flop, and he fired 200k.
Martin folded, but Wasy shoved. Liu called quickly, and it was a cooler with Wasy on ten-eight vs queen-eight for Liu. The runout J♠4♠ didn’t change anything, sending Wasylenko home in 3rd place.
-
Liu Chipping Up
Level: 26 (30000/60000/60000) Entries: 3/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 12:55 AM Jamie Martin is still leading with around 7 million, but Osbert Liu has chipped up a bit. There haven’t been a lot of showdowns in the past while, with hands typically ending without any board action.
Eric Wasyenko is the short stack right now, with around a million, and his main move has been to shove and take down blinds & antes, sometimes with limps included.
-
Jeff Bryde Out in 4th Place for $32,319
Level: 26 (30000/60000/60000) Entries: 3/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 12:35 AM
Jeff Bryde Jeff Bryde raised under the gun to 120k, and Osbert Liu called from the button, as did Jamie Martin from the small blind. It all kicked off on the 9♣8♦K♣ flop.
Martin checked, and Bryde fired 225k. Liu mucked his hand, but Martin raised enough to force Bryde all in.
Bryde snapped it off with kings and nines, while Martin was open-ended with 7♠6♣. Martin bricked the A♠ turn, but smashed the 5♥ river for his straight.

Martin With the Big Lead
Level: 26 (30000/60000/60000) Entries: 4/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 12:15 AM The final four players in the Main Event are on a break now, with Jamie Martin the runaway leader. He has 7.4 million, and between him, and Osbert Liu’s 3 million, they have 5/6ths of the chips in play.

Martin Over 7 Mil
Level: 25 (25000/50000/50000) Entries: 4/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 11:55 PM Jamie Martin is running over the table right now, with about 7.5 million of the almost 13 million in play. He just three-bet Jeff Bryde, making it 325k to go after Bryde opened to 100k from the button.
On the previous hand, Osbert Liu called the small blind preflop, and Martin checked. They checked through the flop and turn on a board of 8♣3♥J♠4♠A♦. On the river, Liu slid out an overbet of 500k.
“That looks very bluffy,” Martin commented, holding up a queen rag. “Can you believe I am thinking of calling with this?” He eventually mucked, but Liu made no indication if it was a bluff or not.
-
Martin Has Half the Chips in Play
Level: 25 (25000/50000/50000) Entries: 4/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 11:25 PM Jamie Martin is the runaway leader right now. He is playing 6.5 million, a bit more than half the chips in play four-handed. Osbert Liu has about 3 million in play right now, and the remaining 3 million is divided between Jeff Bryde & Eric Wasylenko.
-
Chris Bryant Out in 5th Place for $24,239
Level: 24 (20000/40000/40000) Entries: 4/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 10:50 PM
Chris Bryant Chris Bryant was the short stack five ways, and he got it in with pocket fours, only to run into pocket jacks for Jeff Bryde. He couldn’t find his outs, and busted for 5th place today.
-
Karim Chatur Out in 6th Place for $18,179
Level: 24 (20000/40000/40000) Entries: 5/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 10:40 PM
Karim Chatur Osbert Liu raised the cutoff to 80k before Karim Chatur shoved the button. Liu called off for a race between his nines and Chatur’s king-jack. Chatur flopped straight outs, but bricked the A♦Q♠9♣6♦7♠ to hit the rail for 6th place.
-
Glenn Slater Out in 7th Place for $14,140
Level: 24 (20000/40000/40000) Entries: 6/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 10:30 PM
Glenn Slater Glenn Slater shoved with pocket sixes, and Jamie Martin called down with more and ace-king. Martin hit his ace on the flop, and nothing came to improve Slater to send him out in 7th place tonight.
-
Liu Flops It
Level: 24 (20000/40000/40000) Entries: 7/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 10:25 PM Chris Bryant limped from the middle, and Osbert Liu checked his option in the big blind. They both checked the K♦A♥K♣ flop, and Liu led for 100k on the 5♥ turn. Bryant called to the [invalid notations] river, then called again for 140k. Bryant said he had pocket nines after he mucked when Liu showed ace-ten for the win.

Level: 23 (15000/30000/30000) Entries: 7/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 9:45 PM
Homan Mohammadi Jamie Martin raised the middle to 60k before Homan Mohammadi shoved the big blind. Martin called it down with the big stack and queens, and Mohammadi was drawing thin with ace-jack. He found a diamond draw on the turn of 8♥2♦10♦6♦Q♠, but the offsuit queen on the river sent him out.
-
Liu Gets Value
Level: 23 (15000/30000/30000) Entries: 8/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 9:35 PM Osbert Liu raised the button to 60k, then called when small blind Homan Mohammadi raised to 210k. Mohammadi fired 110k on the 9♠6♠10♦ flop, and they both checked the 3♣ turn. Mohammadi checked again on the J♠ river, then tank-called when Liu fired 275k.
Mohammdi mucked when Liu showed king-ten of hearts for top pair on the flop.
-
Wasy Wheels Over Liu
Level: 23 (15000/30000/30000) Entries: 8/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 9:20 PM It all went in preflop after Eric Wasylenko raised to 60k, Osbert Liu reraised to 200k, Wasy four-bet to 425k, Liu shoved the big stack, and Wasy called it off. It was a classic race between big slick for Wasy and pocket jacks for Liu, but the runout wasn’t as classic when Wasy hit the wheel on 4♠5♣2♣3♥7♥.
Wasy doubled up 1.225 million and now looks to be second in chips behind Jamie Martin, who is playing about 3 million. They have another break in about 30 minutes, and I’ll do full chips then.
-
Wasy Wins One
Level: 23 (15000/30000/30000) Entries: 8/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 9:15 PM Eric Wasyleko raised the cutoff to 60k, and Osbert Liu asked what he had behind, then flat-called. Thet checked it through the flop and turn on J♠4♦7♦5♠5♣, but on the river, Liu bet 75k, then called when Wasy pumped it up to 185k. Wasy showed K♥5♥, and Liu folded to put Wasy up over a million.
-
Vik Gill Out in 9th Place for $8,888
Level: 23 (15000/30000/30000) Entries: 8/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 9:00 PM
Vik Gill I missed the action while I was out of the room, but the final table is down to 8 players left now after Vik Gill busted in 9th place. He took the last payout under $10k, and everyone remaining is guaranteed a five-figure score now.
-

Level: 22 (15000/25000/25000) Entries: 9/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 8:40 PM
Garry Sandhu I missed the final action, but Garry Sandhu was left short after he recently doubled up Karim Chatur, and he just busted for 10th place.

Bryde Doubles
Level: 22 (15000/25000/25000) Entries: 10/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 8:35 PM Glenn Slater opened early to 60k, and Jeff Bryde raised the middle to 160k. Chris Bryant called from the button, as did Slater. They all checked the 7♣6♦A♠, but when Slater checked the 4♦ turn, Bryde fired 150k.
Bryant mucked, but Slater flatted to the J♠ river. Slater led for 350k, but then folded when Bryde shoved for 605k.

Gill Gets There Against Lane
Level: 22 (15000/25000/25000) Entries: 11/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 8:00 PM I had a bit of a short circuit today, and I’ve been mistaking Vik Gill for someone else. Gill just doubled through Deven Lane after Lane raised, Gill shoved, and Lane called it off.
Lane was in good shape with ace-queen over ace-jack, but after three eights on the flop and a jack on the turn, Lane bricked the river to send the double to Gill.
Lane busted in the next hand, and they are now setting up the final table.
-
Lane Doubles
Level: 22 (15000/25000/25000) Entries: 12/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 7:50 PM The DNR player shoved a bit more than 300k from the cutoff, and Deven Lane called off with less from the small blind. Land had A♣K♣ against queen-ten offsuit, and he flopped a king. His opponent flopped open-ended, but bricked the turn and river of J♦K♠7♣4♦3♦.

12 Left on Dinner; Liu Leads with More than 2 Million
Level: 21 (10000/20000/20000) Entries: 12/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 7:25 PM There are about 20 minutes remaining in the dinner break, with 12 players left. Pav Braich hit the rail just before dinner to bring the field to 12.
Osbert Liu is still leading, and he’s playing 2.41 million, while Jamie Martin and Glenn Slater are just below 2 million. The tables are unbalanced right now, as Braich busted on the final hand, and they’ll balance it up after dinner.

Level: 21 (10000/20000/2000) Entries: 13/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 6:50 PM Garry Sandhu limped the small blind, and Jamie Martin checked the big. They checked it down until the river of 3♠9♠J♦A♥3♣. After a river check from Sandhu, Martin fired 200k into a pot 70k.
“If you bet 100k, I pay you off,” said Sandhu as he folded.
“That’s why I bet 200k,” Martin said with a smile.

Renhao Zhang’s Jacks are No Good
Level: 21 (10000/20000/20000) Entries: 13/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 6:35 PM Renhao Zhang was all in against Karim Chatur, with Chatur on the big stack. Zhang had pocket jacks, but Chatur, who was all in for his life a couple of minutes ago before finding a miracle straight on the river to survive against Eric Wasylenko, was on kings.
Nothing changed on the runout, and Zhang hit the cage for 14th place.

Level: 21 (10000/20000/20000) Entries: 14/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 6:25 PM Homan Mohammadi raised under the gun to 40k, and Deven Lane defended the big blind with a call. Lane check-called for 40k on the 2♠9♦5♠ flop, and they both checked the 10♠ turn.
After a check from Lane on the 7♠ river, Mohammadi fired 120k. Lane tanked for a bit before folding. Before the flop, he told Mohammadi he was looking for a suit.
“Were you looking for spades?” Mohammadi asked, showing ace-jack of spades. Lane chuckled and indicated that spades wasn’t the suit he was after, fortunately for him.

Liu Takes it on the Turn
Level: 21 (10000/20000/20000) Entries: 16/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 6:10 PM Osbert Liu raised the hijack to 40k, and Jeff Bryde, who was runner-up in the PLO Bounty the other night, called from the big blind. Bryde check-called for 30k on the 4♣Q♣5♠ flop, but he check-folded to 75k on the A♦ turn. Liu is now up to about 1.7 million.

Level: 20 (8000/16000/16000) Entries: 19/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 5:30 PM Jack Dick shoved 32k from the middle, and Osbert Liu called from the big stack. Liu was marginally ahead with ace-eight against ten-nine for Dick, but Dick found a ten on the 10♣K♠6♥J♥7♠ board to stay alive and double up, but it still looks like he’s the shortest stack in the room.

Jillies Hold for Braich
Level: 20 (8000/16000/16000) Entries: 19/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 5:25 PM Jamie Martin opened from the middle to 36k, and Pav Braich and Karim Chatur came along from the blinds. They all checked the 8♥Q♠10♣ flop, but Braich led for 40k on the 3♠ turn.
Chatur called from the big blind, while Martin mucked. The 6♦ river brought checks from both players, and Chatur mucked his hand when Braich showed pocket jacks for the win.

Level: 19 (6000/12000/12000) Entries: 32/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 3:40 PM The bubble play is now complete, and the clock is running again with just over 50 minutes remaining in Level 19. Sunny Lubana was the unfortunate bubble today, and Chris Bryant was the recipient. When the stacks were counted down, Bryant had about 10k more than Lubana behind, and Bryant is now sitting with well over a million.
All remaining players are now guaranteed money.

Level: 18 (5000/10000/10000) Entries: 33/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 3:15 PM The action is now hand-for-hand on the bubble with 33 players left. The clock was paused with just 3:51 remaining in Level 18, and they’ve played one hand with the clock paused so far.

Level: 18 (5000/10000/10000) Entries: 34/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 3:10 PM The Main Event is down to 34 players left, just 2 players off the money. That puts them on the soft bubble, and one elimination away from hand-for-hand, with about 10 minutes to play in Level 18.
-

Level: 18 (5000/10000/10000) Entries: 35/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 3:00 PM The Main Event field is nearing the money now with 35 players left. There are about 20 minutes left in Level 18, and they’ll go into the hand-for-hand phase of the game after two more eliminations.
-
Final Four Tables, Four off the Money
Level: 18 (5000/10000/10000) Entries: 36/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 2:40 PM The Main Event is down to 36 players remaining, on the final four tables. That puts them just 4 eliminations away from the money spots. With about 40 minutes to play in Level 18, it still looks like a reasonable bet that hand-for-hand play will start sometime in this level.
-

Level: 18 (5000/10000/10000) Entries: 38/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 2:10 PM The Main Event players are on their first break of the day, and they are 6 off the money spots when they return to action for Level 18 in about 10 minutes. They will be returning to blinds of 5k/10k/10k, with the average stack just over 30 big blinds.
Start-of-day leader Osbert Liu still looks to be leading, with 1.04 million in front of him right now, with the DNR player also sitting with over 1 million.

Level: 17 (4000/8000/8000) Entries: 45/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 1:10 PM About 10 minutes have passed in Level 17, and the Main Event field is down to 45 players left. That still has them 13 off the 32 paid spots for today, so there’s still some poke to play before anyone gets paid today.
All the prizes are loaded under the Payouts tab, but just as a reminder, the min-cash today for 32nd place is $3,434, but the winner later today is expected to pocket almost $91k, barring any end-of-day deals.

Osbert Liu Leads Day 2 Stacks; $90k for the Winner

Event #14: $1,500 Super Stack (Main) ($1,350 + $150)
Date: Day 2: Apr 19, Noon Blinds: 60 Minutes Entries: 58/315 Prizes (1st Place): $403,988 ($90,893) Chip Leader: Osbert Liu (728.5k) Day 2 of the Main Event is set with more than $400k up for grabs. 32 players will get a piece of the action, so that means 26 Day 2 players will have to go home empty-handed from Sunday’s action.
The Day 2 action kicks off at Noon, and they’ll play until a winner is decided. Given that there are 58 returning players, expect it to be a long day before the final hands are played. The Day 2 blinds are 60 minutes, and the action kicks off in Level 16 with blinds at 3k/6k/6k.
Osbert Liu is the chip leader to start the day. He bagged 728.5k on Day 1b, and is 150k ahead of the Day 1a leader, Chris Bryant in second place. The 3rd place stack asked to be reported as DNR, but Jamie Martin (a1) and Shivan Ahmad (1b) round out the top five counts.

Osbert Liu Stacks Biggest from 38 1b Qualifiers
Level: 15 (2500/5000/5000) Entries: 38/209 (58/315 combined) Prizes: $268,043 (Combined: $403,988) Local Time: 12:00 Midnight There were 38 bags at the end of Day 1b, and Osbert Liu is the biggest stack from the second flight. He has 728.5k and will also be the big stack to start Day 2. The second-place player tonight asked to be DNR, but Shivan Ahmad, Shressh Hebbar, and Daniel Lefebvre round out the top five counts from 1b. Below is a look at all the 1b stacks, and stay tuned for the Day 2 seats assignments coming shortly in the Day 2 opening post.

15 Minutes to Play in 1b
Level: 15 (25000/25000/5000) Entries: 44/209 (64/315 combined) Prizes: $268,043 (Combined: $403,988) Local Time: 11:15 PM Day 1b is nearly done, and there are still 44 players remaining. There are 15 minutes left on the clock, but they’ll pause the clock at 10 minutes to draw for the remaining hands. Stay tuned for a look at the 1b stacks coming in the next hour or so, with the Day 2 seat assignments to follow in the Day 2 opening post.

More than $90k for the Winner
Level: 14 (2000/4000/4000) Entries: 53/209 (73/315 combined) Prizes: $268,043 (Combined: $403,988) Local Time: 10:25 PM About an hour remains in Day 1b, with Level 14 about half finished. The prizes have just been released, and the field is confirmed at 315 entries, which is a bit better than the results from last Spring.
That puts the confirmed prize pool at just shy of $404k, and the winner on Sunday will be pocketing more than $90k, assuming there are no deals at the end of the day. 32 players will share in the prizes, but the Day 2 field will return with more than 32 players, so some returning players will have to go home empty-handed.
The full prizes are loaded under the Payouts tab, with the top ten payouts below.

68 Remain in the Main
Level: 13 (1500/3000/3000) Entries: 68/209 (88/315 combined) Prizes: $268,043 (Combined: $403,988) Local Time: 10:00 PM About 10 minutes remain in Level 13, and the 1b field is down to 68 players left. They’ll end early if they get to 21 players, but that seems very unlikely. More likely, they’ll bag up at the end of Level 15 with more than 10% of the field still alive. If it goes the distance, that should mean the bags come out somewhere around 11:30 PM.
-
More than $400k in Prizes
Level: 13 (1500/3000/3000) Entries: 90/209 (110/315 combined) Prizes: $268,043 (Combined: $403,988) Local Time: 9:30 PM Entries are now closed for the Main Event, and it was a big one. The final tally for entries looks to be 315, though that number is still awaiting confirmation. If it holds, it should mean a Day 2 prize pool of $403,988, with 32 players sharing it.
Today’s flight looks to have ended with 209 entries, which will mean a hard stop at 21 players. More likely, they’ll pay to the end of Level 15 with more than 21 players still remaining. I should be able to get prizes posted later tonight.

More than 300 Entries Combined
Level: 12 (1500/2500/2500) Entries: 82/196 (102/302 combined) Prizes: $251,370 (Combined: $387,315) Local Time: 8:40 PM The final level of entries for the Main Event is now underway, and the combined field is over 300. They are now just 10 entries away from capping $400k in combined prizes, and that looks like it should happen before entries close at the start of Level 13, which is now about 45 minutes away.
-
More than $380k in Prizes
Level: 11 (1000/2000/2000) Entries: 95/191 (115/297 combined) Prizes: $244,958 (Combined: $380,903) Local Time: 8:10 PM Just over 20 minutes remain in Level 11, with Level 12 as the final level to enter the Main Event. The 1b field is up to 191 entries now, which puts more than $380k into the prizes already, and means they are just 15 entries away from capping $400k.
David Ko, Sunny Lubana, Doug Lee, and Todd Oakley are among the other players I’ve spotted in today’s event.
-
Final Three Levels of Entry for the Main Event
Level: 10 (800/1600/1600) Entries: 98/177 (118/283 combined) Prizes: $227,003 (Combined: $362,948) Local Time: 7:15 PM The combined prizes are over $360k as the 1b players go into the final three levels of open entry. The 1b field is up to 177, for 283 overall, and there are now just over 2 hours left to get into the Main Event. The field is less than 30 entries away from $400k in prizes.
-
More than $350k in Prizes
Level: 9 (600/1200/1200) Entries: 90/169 (110/275 combined) Prizes: $216,743 (Combined: $352,688) Local Time: 6:15 PM The 1b players are about 10 minutes from their dinner break, with just over 3 hours remaining in entries. The 1b field is now up to 169, for a combined total of 275. That puts the combined prizes over $350k now, and I’d expect at least another 10-20 entries before the desk closes at 9:30 PM tonight. At this point, they need 37 entries to hit $400k in prizes, while another 15 entries today will put the prizes over $370k.
-
165 Entries for 1b
Level: 9 (600/1200/1200) Entries: 99/165 (119/271 combined) Prizes: $211,613 (Combined: $347,558) Local Time: 6:00 PM With 3.5 hours to go in entry for this final flight to the Main Event, the 1b field is now at 165, for a combined total of 271. That puts the 1b prizes over $210k, with the combined prizes now just a couple of entries shy of $350k.
Among the players in action today are Sen Vijayaratnum, Jo Teliani, Daniel Lefebvre, Julius Roque, Sebastian Crema, Malcolm Bolger, Ramaz Haymour, Cam Stewart, Don Fujita, Shane Brotherwood, Nu Teliani, Jason Law, and Shawn Taghavi.
-
More than $340k in Prizes
Level: 8 (500/1000/1000) Entries: 111/162 (131/268 combined) Prizes: $207,765 (Combined: $343,710) Local Time: 5:40 PM With about 10 minutes to play in Level 8, the 1b field is now at 162 entries, for 268 overall. That brings the 1b prizes over $205k, for $342k in total. Just under 4 hours remain in entries for this Main Event.
-
$200k in 1b Prizes
Level: 7 (400/800/800) Entries: 117/156 (137/262 combined) Prizes: $200,070 (Combined: $336,015) Local Time: 4:50 PM The 1b prize pool just capped $200k, for a combined total of just over $336k. That comes from 156 1b entries, for a total field so far of 262.
Today’s flight only needs another 11 entries to push the combined prizes over $350k, and the field is now just 50 entries shy of $400k. That $400k mark looks a little out of reach right now, but it’s not impossible; More than $350k for the combined prizes looks like a solid lock, however.
-
150 Entries for 1b
Level: 6 (300/600/600) Entries: 118/150 (138/256 combined) Prizes: $192,375 (Combined: $328,320) Local Time: 4:15 PM There are about 5.5 hours left to get into this final flight to the Main, with the seconds ticking down to the end of Level 6. The 1b field is 150, for a combined total of 256 and total prizes of almost $330k.
There is still easily enough time for the 1b field to hit 170-180 entries before it closes, and 200 isn’t out of the question. If today’s field hits 206, it would mean a combined prize pool of more than $400k.
-
More than $320k in Prizes
Level: 6 (300/600/600) Entries: 124/144 (144/250 combined) Prizes: $184,680 (Combined: $320,625) Local Time: 3:40 PM Level 6 is just underway in the final flight to the Main Event, and the prizes are more than $320k combined. So far, the 1b field is pushing 150 entries, with 250 entries combined across both flights, with entries open for just shy of 6 hours.

Second Flight to the Main Boards Saturday

Event #14: $1,500 Super Stack (Main) ($1,350 + $150)
Date: Day 1b: Apr 18, Noon Blinds: 40 Minutes (60 Minutes on Day 2) Starting Stack: 40k Late Entry: 12 Levels (~9:30 PM) Day 1 Ends: 10% of the field, or the End of Level 15 Entries: 20/106 Prizes: $135,945 The second flight to the Main Event is set to hit the runway at noon on Saturday, but players can board for the first 12 levels of play. Players sit down with 40k in chips to play 40-minute levels on Day 1.
Entries will close at the start of Level 13, which will be about 9:30 PM. After that, they play down to 10% of the field, or until the end of Level 15, whichever comes first. Note that, unlike other multi-flight games in this series, players who make Day 2 will not be in the money immediately.
After the opening flight on Friday, 20 players, of the 106 initial entries, still had chips at the end of Level 15. Chris Bryant is the big leader so far, bagging 581k at the end of 1a. Jamie Martin was just shy of the half-million mark for second place.

If they hit 150, that will mean prizes of almost $330k, while a 1b field of 200 would push the prizes to just shy of $400k. A field of 206 for 1b would make over $400k in prizes, but they only need 128 1b entries for a $300k prize pool.

Chris Bryant Leads the 1a Stacks
Level: 15 (2500/5000/5000) Entries: 20/106 Prizes: $135,945 Local Time: 11:50 PM It turns out there were only 20 bags to end the night, as opposed to the previously reported 21. Chris Bryant is the leader from 1a, with 581k, while Jamie Martin is second with just shy of half a million. Homan Mohammadi, Umang “Ronnie” Dattani, and Nicholas Lee round out the top five stacks, with Lee and Dattani bagging identical stacks of 257k.

The Bags are Out for Day 1a
Level: 15 (2500/5000/5000) Entries: 21/106 Prizes: $135,945 Local Time: 11:30 PM Day 1a of the Main Event is complete, with 21 players advancing to Sunday’s Day 2. The remaining players are just bagging their chips now, and I’ll have the 1a chip counts out shortly.
-
About an Hour to Go in Day 1a
Level: 14 (2000/4000/4000) Entries: 24/106 Prizes: $135,945 Local Time: 10:35 PM The Main Event 1a field is down to 24 remaining now, with just under 20 minutes to play in Level 14. That puts them about an hour away from the end of the night, at most, but they might end early if they lose 13 players before then.
-
Final Three Tables; Final Two Levels
Level: 14 (2000/4000/4000) Entries: 27/106 Prizes: $135,945 Local Time: 10:15 PM The Main Event is down to 27 players left with Level 14 just underway. If they make it to 11 players, the bags will come out early, but no matter what, the game will bag at the end of Level 15, at the latest.
-
106 Entries for 1a of the Main
Level: 13 (1500/3000/3000) Entries: 30/106 Prizes: $135,945 Local Time: 9:40 PM Entries for Day 1a of the Main Event are now closed, with the final tally at 106. That puts the 1a prizes over $135k, with 11 bags expected at the end of the night.
The field is at 30 remaining now, so they need to lose 19 players before an early end. However, this Main Event plays a bit differently than the previous multi-flight games – the bags will come out at the end of Level 15, even if they haven’t hit 10% of the field. Players should note that Day 2 will likely include some players returning outside the money.
-
100 Entries for Main
Level: 11 (1000/2000/2000) Entries: 55/100 Prizes: $128,250 Local Time: 8:20 PM Day 1a of the Main has just over an hour left in entries, and the field is at 100 entries. That puts the prizes so far at $128,250, but I expect another 10 or so entries at least before the desk closes at 9:30 PM.
-
89 Entries in Level 10
Level: 10 (800/1600/1600) Entries: 54/89 Prizes: $114,143 Local Time: 7:45 PM The prizes are nearly $115k, with about 1 hour and 45 minutes left to enter today’s flight. Level 10 has about 10 minutes to play, with entries set to close at the start of Level 13.
-
Nearing 90 Entries for 1a of the Main
Level: 9 (600/1200/1200) Entries: 63/87 Prizes: $111,578 Local Time: 6:30 PM The Main Event players are just moments from the dinner break, with the field at 87 entries, for prizes of more than $110k. There are still three hours of entry left for today’s flight, and just as a reminder, they are running single-table satellites in the Poker Room for this event.
-
More than $100k in Prizes
Level: 8 (500/1000/1000) Entries: 64/80 Prizes: $102,600 Local Time: 5:45 PM About 5 minutes remain in Level 8, and the Day 1a field is up to 80 entries. That means the prizes for the opening flight are now over $100k, with about 3.5 hours left to enter today’s flight. Today’s field could well flirt with 100 entries or more.
-
Single Table Satellites in the Poker Room
Level: 7 (400/800/800) Entries: 59/70 Prizes: $89,775 Local Time: 4:40 PM The Day 1a field is up to 70 entries now, for prizes just shy of $90k. For players still looking for a cheap way into the game, Deerfoot Inn & Casino are running single-table satellites in the poker room tonight.
$330 buys a seat at the table, with 2 tickets up fro grabs on a 10-handed table, or a single ticket for five players. There’s a list running in the poker room, so head there to take a shot at a cheap seat in the Main Event.
-
More than $85k in Prizes
Level: 7 (400/800/800) Entries: 57/68 Prizes: $87,210 Local Time: 4:30 PM The prizes for Day 1a of the Main Event are now closing in on $90k with 68 entries on the board. The players have just returned from the break following Level 6, and there are about 5 hours left to enter today’s flight.

Nearly $75k in Prizes
Level: 6 (300/600/600) Entries: 54/58 Prizes: $74,385 Local Time: 3:45 PM The Main Event field is at 58 entries for the opening flight so far, for prizes of just shy of $75. Just shy of 6 hours remain in the entry period for today’s flight, and with the current pace of entries, it looks like today’s field will top out around 80 or 90 entries.

More than 50 Entries in Level 4
Level: 4 (200/400/400) Entries: 51/51 Prizes: $65,408 Local Time: 2:45 PM Day 1a of the Main Event is into Level 4 now, with the field at 51 entries. Opening Flight to the Main Event Goes Friday

Event #14: $1,500 Super Stack (Main) ($1,350 + $150)
Date: Day 1a: Apr 17, Noon Blinds: 40 Minutes (60 Minutes on Day 2) Starting Stack: 40k Late Entry: 12 Levels (~9:30 PM) Day 1 Ends: 10% of the field, or the end of Level 15 The final weekend of play in the Spring Super Stack is about to kick off, and that means Day 1a of the Main Event is on deck. The Day 1 action gets going at noon, with players starting the day with 40k in chips.
Levels are 40 minutes long on Day 1, and the registration desk is open for 12 levels. Including breaks, that should put the final chance to enter at about 9:30 PM. Day 1 will finish at 10% of the field, or at the end of Level 15, whichever comes first. Note that, unlike the other multi-day games in this series, Day 2 players in the Main Event will not necessarily be in the money, as more than 10% of the field may get through one or both of the Day 1 flights.

Chase Bonertz, winner of the Main Event, with fiance In the Spring of 2025, Alex Liu bagged another Main Event win after a chop with David Swaim. That game got 309 entries for prizes of $396,293. Last Summer, Chase Bonertz was the Main Event winner over a field of 329 for a prize pool of $421,943.

Haven Taylor, Glenn Slater, James Cruickshank, Sebastian Crema, Bogdan Szafanowicz, David Swaim, and Shane Britherwood are among the players in action today.

-
More than 300 Entries Combined

-

-

-

Level: 18 (5000/10000/10000) Entries: 36/315 Prizes: $403,988 Local Time: 2:40 PM The Main Event is down to 36 players remaining, on the final four tables. That puts them just 4 eliminations away from the money spots. With about 40 minutes to play in Level 18, it still looks like a reasonable bet that hand-for-hand play will start sometime in this level.
