2026 Spring Super Stack – Event #15: $340 PLO Bounty

With the game pushing the 10-hour mark, and after a final table that lasted almost three hours, heads up was a very quick affair. They only played a couple of hands before Haven Taylor flopped two pair against a wrap for Jeff Bryde and the money went in.

While there was still a sweat on the flop, the turn dried things out completely as Taylor boated up with aces full, leaving Bryde drawing dead. Taylor was the dominant force in the endgame, stacking the most chips from 6-handed down.

Bryde was leading earlier in the night, and even earlier, $600 PLO winner Julius Roque (9th) was the big stack. The chips moved around quite a bit as they played with Josh Bennett, Gord Chin, and Kurtis Ruhl on leads at various points.

Ruhl was perhaps the hardest to dispatch at the FT. He found a way to survive all-ins against Taylor multiple times with play three-handed, doubling each time and cutting into her stack. She finally flopped a full house against him to send him to the rail, and she started heads up with a big lead.

Bryde chipped up a few times before the final confrontation happened, but Taylor’s big stack kept him on his heels the whole way. This was her 10th live win, but it looks like her first win while playing with four cards. She got 14 bounties along the way tonight to add to her $6,177 win, while Bryde cashed out four bounty chips while picking up second-place money worth $4,429.

Duane Wong potted under the gun to 140k, leaving himself fumes behind. Jeff Bryde called from the button.

He shoved the rest before the 7♠8♣J♠ flop came, and Bryde called with two pair and he ran out to a full house to take it down and send Wong out.

Jeff Bryde raised to 105k, and Kurtis Ruhl called from the big blind. He shoved the 3♣5♣K♣ flop for fumes, and Bryde called.

Ruhl was on a gutshot with Q♦10♥7♦4♠ against top pair for Bryde with A♥K♦8♣7♥. Ruhl missed his gut shot, but ran out to a bigger straight when the board completed 9♥J♥.

Haven Taylor has a stranglehold on the chips now, with around 2 million in front of her.

It was limped blind on blind between Jeff Bryde and Haven Taylor. On the Q♣K♣2♦ flop, Bryde check-called for 60k. He check-called for 100k on the 3♦ turn, but after he checked the 7♠ river and Taylor bet 150k, he mucked. Taylor showed a deuce as she collected the pot, and she has the clear lead now with ore than a million.

I missed the action, but Gord Chin followed Benny Sarnelli to the cage on the next hand. He won $1,632 for 5th place tonight.

Benny Sarnelli has been surviving, but his run just came to an end. He shoved the rest of his stack in when he flopped a pair of deuces, but Haven Taylor was on a set of aces and a diamond draw. She improved to the flush on the river and sent Sarnelli to the cage for 6th place.

Benny Sarnelli is finding ways to survive from the small stack. After Haven Taylor limped under the gun, Kurtis Ruhl, Sarnelli, Dwayne Wong and Jeff Bryde all called.

The flop was 5♦3♠2♠ and it all kicked off. It checked to Sarnelli, and he shoved the small stack. Wong reshoved, and Bryde and Taylor got out of the way before Ruhl tank called with more.

Sarnelli hit the 6-high straight for the main pot, while Wong wheeled into the side pot. Ruhl was on an over pair with Broadway cards, but the 7♦10♣ runout didn’t help him, and he was down to less than 200k after the hand.

Benny Sarnelli shoved the small stack from the cutoff for 29k, saying that he wanted to stay as he was having fun. Dwayne Wong called from the button, as did big blind Haven Taylor. Taylor and Wong both checked the K♥Q♥A♦ flop, but Taylor led for 50k on the J♥ turn.

Wong tanked for a bit before folding two pair face up. “Got the hearts already?” Sarnelli asked.

“I have dog shit,” Taylor chuckled. “You said you wanted to stay; I’m giving you protection.”

Taylor had 9♠5♣4♥2♦, and when the 10♥ came on the river, Sarnelli’s J♦9♦7♣4♣ found a straight for the win.

The action will be moving to the poker room to finish out the night at the end of this level in about 3 minutes.

Josh Bennett was left short after the big four-way all in, and he hit the rail in the next hand for $816. He Wang followed him out on the hand following for $932.

Wang found a boat for the main pot when the board ran out Q♣3♦10♦4♣3♥, and Josh Bennett held for the side pot, but was left short.

Elle Brezina was playing fumes for most of the endgame tonight, but she still managed to make the money and ladder through three spots. She was forced all in three times, managing to find two doubles before the variance finally caught ip with her. Gord Chen, who had been the main player to donate when she was all in, was the recipient of her chips in the end, which she felt was only fair.

Gord Chen is playing around 500k now, and it looks like Julius Roque was the guy he took them from, with Roque’s stack down to less than 300k now. On the other table, Keegan Oliver has about 450k in front of him, largely on the back of the bubble elimination a few minutes ago.

Elle Brezina was pretty happy to survive the bubble with just one big blind. She was forced all-in from the big blind shortly after the bubble burst, and had to face down three players.

Gord Chen isolated on the flop when he flopped an ace, and Brezina, who hadn’t looked at her cards yet, flipped them over to find a pair of nines and a straight draw. She ran out to the straight, and got a massive boost to her chips, going from 6k to 31k in the hand, though she folded her small blind in the next hand to drop to 28k.

They are in the money in the PLO Bounty now, after Keegan Oliver found a spade on the river to flush out the bubble player. After the hand, Kurtis Ruhl said he folded four spades, making the flush even more unlikely.

Julius Roque, who won the $600 PLO game earlier this week, is leading the PLO Bounty now, with the game on the bubble. There are 14 players left, with 13 paid spots, and Roque is playing about 535k, with 8 bounty chips beside his stack.

The players are on a break now, and will be back in action for Level 16 in about 10 minutes.

I’ve just had a glance around at the final 17 stacks, and Haven Taylor looks to be the clear leader right now, playing about 320k with a stack of bounty chips as well. Keegan Oliver has more than 250k, while Benny Sarnelli is playing around 200k.

The PLO Bounty is down to the final two tables now, with 17 players left. About 15 minutes remain in Level 14, with a break to follow Level 15.

Level 13 has just begun, and the field is down to 19 players remaining in the PLO Bounty game. That puts them 6 players off the money.

The prizes are posted, and the field is confirmed at 126 entries. The winner tonight will pocket $6,177, and 13 players will get a piece of $23,310 in prizes (with a total of $12,600 in bounties awarded through the night).
