  • Kevin Kemna Defeats Ryan Cairns Heads Up

    Level:24 (20000/40000/40000)
    Entries:1/90
    Prizes:$21,375 ($16,875 prizes, $4,500 bounties)
Kevin Kemna, Winner of NLH Bounty

The side game is over, and as expected, I didn’t get any chance to watch this one. After Kevin Kemna doubled through Ryan Cairns with aces over tens, he took it down just a few hands later holding pocket nines. Both Kemna and Cairns for 5 bounties to add to their scores tonight.

  • Kemna Doubles Heads Up

    Level:23 (20000/30000/30000)
    Entries:2/90
    Prizes:$21,375 ($16,875 prizes, $4,500 bounties)

They are heads up in the side game, and I’m still not watching very closely, but Melissa Sekulich is over railing the match between Kevin Kemna and Ryan Cairns. Kemna just found a double with aces against kings for Cairns, and the pot put Kemna into the lead by about 2:1.

  • Down to 6 Left, In the Money

    Level:20 (8000/16000/16000)
    Entries:6/90
    Prizes:$21,375 ($16,875 prizes, $4,500 bounties)

There are just 6 players left in the side game, though I’m still not watching it. I do have the cashers so far, however.

  • 15 Left on the Side

    Level:16 (3000/6000/6000)
    Entries:15/90
    Prizes:$21,375 ($16,875 prizes, $4,500 bounties)

The side game is down to 15 players remaining now, 6 off the money. As expected, I haven’t had much time to cover this one, and with 20-minute blinds and an average stack of just 20 big blinds, it looks very likely this game will finish before the Main Event does.

  • Entries Closed with 90 for Final Game

    Level:10 (1000/1500/1500
    Entries:45/90
    Prizes:$21,375 ($16,875 prizes, $4,500 bounties)

  • 62 Entries Just Before First Break

    Level:5 (300/500/500)
    Entries:62/62
    Prizes:$14,725 ($11,625 prizes, $3,100 bounties)

There are less than 15 minutes to the first break of the day in the side game, with the field at 62 entries. That puts the combined pries at $13,724, with $3,100 of that in the bounty pool, and the rest waiting for end-of-night prizes.

  • Up to 56 Entries

    Level:4 (200/400/400)
    Entries:56/56
    Prizes:$13,300 ($10,500 prizes, $2,800 bounties)

The side game is up to 56 entries with Level 4 just underway. There are now 56 entries on the board, and while there have been a few busts and rebuys, the board doesn’t reflect those numbers yet, so I’m not sure how many players are still alive.

  • Final Game is Underway

    Level:3 (200/300/300)
    Entries:46/46
    Prizes:$10,925 ($8,625 prizes, $2,300 bounties)

The final game of the series is underway, running alongside Day 2 of the Main Event. Level 3 is just beginning with 46 entries on the board for total prizes of just under $11k. $2,300 of that is in the bounty pool, with $8,625 reserved for prizes later tonight.

Just as a reminder I likely won’t watch this one very closely today. Traditionally, this game finishes while the Main Event is still running, but if the Main Event finishes first, I’ll finish my series on this. More likely, readers should only expect numbers and results from this one.

  • Two-Card Bounty Action Closes the Series on Sunday

    Date:Aug 10, 2 PM
    Blinds:20 Minutes
    Starting Stack:20k
    Late Entry:9 Levels (5:30 PM)

The final game of the 2025 Summer Super Stack goes at 2 PM on Sunday, alongside Day 2 of the Main Event. Players get 20k in chips for their $280, with $200 of that going to prizes, $50 to the bounties, and $30 as the registration fee.

Blind levels will play for 20 minutes throughout the game, and players have 9 levels to enter before the registration desk shuts down for good for this Summer Super Stack. That will put the last chance to get in for some prizes in this series at about 5:30 PM on Sunday afternoon.

Devin Zalusky, Winner of Event #17 Bounty

In the Spring, Devin Zalusky was the final winner of the series. He had to make it through 73 entries for his share of $13,688 in prizes, with an additional $3,650 in bounties, with his winning share at $4,244.

So far, this series has been significantly bigger than the Spring series, so I’m expecting this final game to go above 100 for entries. Traditionally, I don’t have much time to cover this one as it plays out while Day 2 of the Main Event is running, and finishes before that game does. As a result, I usually only have a chance to update numbers and the final results for this one, but that still depends on how the Sunday action goes.
