  • Cam Stewart Puts on a Clinic To Take Down The First PPT Main Event of 2026 ($64,555)

    Cam Stewart

Cam Stewart played absolutely stellar poker on his way to taking down his first PPT main event trophy. Last years Pure Player of the Year, started the day hot accumulating the third largest stack by the first break. The field soon shrunk to 20 with Stewart maintaining his top stack. Former back-to-back winner Pav Braich hit the rail in 12th. Soon the final table was set, and Travis Darroch led the count with over 2,000,000. Both Stewart and Nu Teliani sat on his heels with over 1,900,000 each.

Stewart maintained his big stack, as Robert Limpert and Stefan Maloney hit the rail in dramatic fashion. Josh Wallace found himself on the wrong end of a cooler shoving Queens into Nadeen Narayan’s aces to fall shortly after. Sheraz Nasir found a large pot against Darroch’s kings after flopping a flush to chip up.

However, his tournament would come to a close as he blind raised and called off an all in from Darroch with kings. Darroch’s three’s were a heavy underdog, until a three on the flop flipped the odds. Nasir picked up a flush draw on the turn, but couldn’t improve to end his run. The short stacked Teliani soon fell to bring play three-handed. Narayan, found a double with “the snowmen” to even out the stacks. Both him and Stewart sat with over 3,000,000, while Darroch held 6,420,000.

However, it was short lived. His stack dwindled and he jammed King-Jack into Darroch’s pocket Aces. A dry board had Narayan drawing dead after the turn. Heads-up play was a battle with both players exchanging the chip lead. Stewart opened and received a call from Darroch who defended his big blind. Both players flopped a flush draw, and a quick bet, re-raise, and jam occurred.

The two players had less than a 300,000 difference in chip stacks, and it was Stewarts nut flush draw and ace-high that was a heavy favourite. An ace on the river sealed the deal, as Stewart had the slightly larger stack. With this win, Stewart also accumulated the most points in the Player of the Series race as an extra consolation.

    James Giddings

James Giddings was left short after doubling up Sheraz Nasir a couple of minutes ago, and he couldn’t spin his stack back up, ending his run in 9th place.

As it stands now, it looks like the winner of this game is going to take the Player of the Series prize. However, there are still two players in the game who could take that away with less than first place.

Stefan Maloney has 170 points, while Cam Stewart has 162 points. They could both take the win with second here tonight, as second place gets 675 points, while the winner gets 810 points. No one else left in the game has enough points to make a difference, unless they bag the win.

Pav Braich was looking to go three for three in Main Event titles here after winning the final two Mains of 2025. He made a pretty decent run of it, as well, but just ended his day in 14th place for $3,950.

While he wasn’t able to score the three-peat, two wins, plus final two tables is still a decent run for him.

Pav Braich opened to 20,000 from under the gun, and the big blind made the call.

The flop came A43, and the big blind checked to Braich. He fired for 20,000, and the big blind raised to 50,000. Braich moved all in, and the big blind called for their 219,000. Both players revealed their holdings.

    Big Blind: 44
    Pav Braich: AA

The board completed with the JQ for Braich to find the elimination.

  • Lefebvre Takes it Down

    Level:18 (5,000/10,000/10,000)
    Entries:37/329
    Prizes:$309,425
    Local Time:12:20 PM

Action was caught after the flop of 952, with both blinds having checked. Garry Sandhu fired for 35,000 from the cutoff, and Daniel Lefebvre called from the button. The remaining players made the fold.

The turn came the 10, and Sandhu slowed down with a check. Lefebvre fired for 40,000, and Sandhu made the call.

After the 10 completed the board, Sandhu checked to Lefebvre. He moved all in for 210,000, and was rewarded with the pot.

    Daniel Lefebvre: 397,000
    Garry Sandhu: 183,000

  • Nu Teliani Leads 41 Day 2 Players

    Date:Mar 8, Noon
    Blinds:60 Minutes
    Entries:41/329
    Prizes (1st Place):$309,425 ($64,555)

Day 2 of the Main Event is set with 41 players returning to compete for almost $310k in prizes. The Day 2 action gets going at noon on Sunday (players should remember that the time changes tonight, so they’ll lose an hour between the end of 1b and the start of Day 2), with blinds at 4k/8k/8k in Level 17.

Day 2 blinds are 60 minutes long, but will drop to 30 minutes for heads-up play. Nu Teliani is the player to beat, as she is the only player to bring more than 800k to day 2 after bagging the Day 1b lead. Josh Wallace, who was the Day 1a leader, comes in second with 788k, while James Hopkins, Cam Stewart, and Sheraz Nasir round out the top 5 counts.

The average stack going into Day 2 is still 41 big blinds, so the action is pretty deep. There are 10 players coming into Day 2 with less than 20 big blinds, however, so they’ll be looking for early spots to double. At the other end of the list, the top 10 players have nearly half the chips in play combined.

The stacks are in, and Nu Teliani is the big bag from 1b. She bagged 827k and is the only player in the game with more than 800k for Sunday. James Hopkins is second with 752k, while Sheraz Nasir, Rob Limpert, and Andy Perry round out the top five. Stay tuned for the Day 2 opening post, including seat assignments and full stacks for the combined Day 2 field of 41.

  • Day 1b is Complete

    Level:18 (5000/10000/10000)
    Entries:25/199 (41/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
Local Time:3:40 AM (time change in effect)

Day 1b is finally complete with 25 players bagging their chips. I’ll post the final chip count and the Day 2 seats within an hour or so, once the bags are collected and collated, and I get back to the hotel.

  • Teliani, Limpert Leading 2 off the Bags

    Level:17 (4000/8000/8000)
    Entries:27/199 (43/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
Local Time:3:07 AM (time change in effect)

They are down to the final three tables now, just 2 eliminations off the end of the night. It looks like bot Nu Teliani and Rob Limpert are playing more than 600k each, for the shared lead right now.

  • 3 More to Go

    Level:17 (4000/8000/8000)
    Entries:28/199 (44/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:1:55 AM

They are down to 28 remaining in Day 1b, with about 15 minutes to play in Level 17. That means they still need to lose 3 more players before the bags come out. At this point, it’s looking like they’ll hit the bubble play sometime before the end of this level, but the bags likely won’t come out until Level 18.

  • 6 Off the Bags

    Level:16 (3000/6000/6000)
    Entries:31/199 (47/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:1:25 AM

They are down to 31 players left in Day 1b, with about 10 minutes to play in Level 16. That means they still need to lose 6 more players before the end of the night, so it looks like both flights will play into Level 17 at least.

  • 39 Left at the Break

    Level:16 (3000/6000/6000)
    Entries:39/199 (55/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:12:40 AM

They are still 14 eliminations off the bags as Level 15 ends, and the players head to a break. Sheraz Nasir looks to be the big stack right now with about 540k in play, but Malcolm Bolger is close behind with about 450k, and Steven Chung is sitting at around 400k.

It’s looking increasingly like tonight will play into Level 17 before the bags come out.

  • Final Five Tables

    Level:14 (2000/4000/4000)
    Entries:45/199 (61/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:11:50 PM

They are just breaking down to the final five tables, with 45 players left alive. That puts them 20 eliminations off the end of the night, but with less than 5 minutes to play in Level 14, it still looks like Level 16 at the earliest before they finish tonight.

  • Down to 49

    Level:14 (2000/4000/4000)
    Entries:49/199 (65/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:11:45 PM

They are now 24 eliminations off the bags, with 49 players left alive now. The action has slowed considerably in recent levels, and it’s looking like the night will go well into Level 16 before it ends.

  • Sandhu Stacking Big

    Level:13 (1500/3000/3000)
    Entries:61/199 (77/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:10:30 PM

Garry Sandhu looks like the leader on the break following Level 12. He is playing more than 500k at the moment, while Sheraz Nasir looks to be in second place with about 400k.

  • Final Seven Tables

    Level:12 (1500/2500/2500)
    Entries:62/199 (78/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:10:10 PM

About 10 minutes remain in Level 12, with another break to follow this level. I’ll have a look around for some big stacks on the break.

The field is down to 62 players now, on the final seven players, and the action has slowed a bit recently.

  • 66 Players Remain

    Level:12 (1500/2500/2500)
    Entries:66/199 (82/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:9:50 PM

About 30 minutes remain in Level 12, with another break coming after this level. They are down to 66 players remaining, with the target number at 25 tonight. It’s still a bit too early to tell when the night is likely to end, but it feels like it’ll be a somewhat earlier night than Day 1a.

  • Numbers Dropping Quickly in Post-Reg Action

    Level:10 (1000/1500/1500)
    Entries:87/199 (103/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:8:55 PM

About 5 minutes remain in Level 10, and the 1b field is down to 87 players left now, and dropping pretty quickly. I expect to see fairly brisk bustouts down to about 50 players remaining, after which it should slow down a bit as they approach the final 25 spots for today’s flight.

  • The Main Event Field is Confirmed at 329

    Level:10 (1000/1500/1500)
    Entries:97/199 (113/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:6:35 PM

The prizes are in, and the winner on Sunday will be $64,555 richer. Seven players are set to pocket five-figure prizes, with 41st place getting $1,840 for the min cash.

The final field number is 329 entries (confirmed) for total prizes of $309,425, with more than $185k of that coming from 1b action. 25 players from Day 1b will join 16 who are already waiting on Sunday.

The full prize list is posted under the payouts tab, with the final table prizes posted below.

  • 199 Unofficial Entries for 1b

    Level:10 (1000/1500/1500)
    Entries:102/199 (118/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:8:25

Entries are closed for the first Main Event of 2026, and after a short presentation to award the API trophies for Top Senior (Julius Roque), Top Woman (Nu Teliani), and Top Player (Mike Malm, accepted by Weston Pring), as well as the Pure Poker Player of the Year awards from 2025 (Cam Stewart was the winner, and Pav Braich was second), Level 10 is now underway.

The final tally on the board for 1b is 199 entries. That is still an unofficial number, but if it holds, it will mean 25 bags later tonight. The combined field across both starting days looks to be 329 entries for prizes just under $310k, which should easily put $60k or more up top for the win tomorrow.

I’ll confirm all the numbers once I have eyes on the prizes, which should be within an hour or two.

  • $300k in Prizes

    Level:9 (600/1200/1200)
    Entries:94/189 (110/319 combined)
    Prizes:$177,755 (Combined: $300,020)
    Local Time:7:25 PM

About 5 minutes remain in Level 9, and the players will be on their dinner break following this level. Entries are still open through the dinner break, with the desk set to shut down at 8:15 PM, but the prizes are already over $300k combined.

The current combined field is just shy of 320 entries, but I expect that could climb to 325 or 330 before the end of entries in about 45 minutes.

  • Final Level of Entries

    Level:9 (600/1200/1200)
    Entries:97/180 (113/310 combined)
    Prizes:$169,290 (Combined: $291,555)
    Local Time:6:50 PM

Level 9 has just begun, and this is the final level to get into this Main Event. The registration desk will be open through the dinner break that follows this level, but the Main Event field will be set in stone when they sit down for Level 10 at about 8:15 PM.

The combined prizes are now over $290k, with $300k still looking like a solid target. They only need 10 more entries in the next 75 minutes to crack $300k, and it seems like that should be an easy number to hit.

  • Nearing $290k

    Level:8 (500/1000/1000)
    Entries:96/177 (112/307 combined)
    Prizes:$166,469 (Combined: $288,734)
    Local Time:6:45 PM

90 minutes remain in entries for this first Main Event of 2026, and the combined prizes are just a couple of entries shy of $290k. A final combined pool of $300k is still looking possible, but they’ll need another 13 entries to hit that number.

  • More than 300 Entries Combined

    Level:7 (400/800/800)
    Entries:105/172 (121/302 combined)
    Prizes:$161,766 (Combined: $284,031)
    Local Time:6:00 PM

Just over two hours remain in entries for this opening Main Event of 2026, and the combined field is now over $300k. That puts the total prizes just under $285k, but that number is still likely to push up towards $300k before the end of registration at ~8:15 PM tonight.

  • Nearly 300 Combined Entries on Second Break

    Level:7 (400/800/800)
    Entries:108/168 (124/298 combined)
    Prizes:$158,004 (Combined: $280,269)
    Local Time:5:30 PM

The combined prizes are now more than $280k, with the combined field now 2 entries shy of 300. There are 168 entries on the board so far for today, but with more than 2.5 hours left to enter, that number will surely increase, and a final prize pool near $300k still seems like a good bet tonight. Today’s field needs just 22 more entries to hit $300k, and that seems like it should be an easy target.

  • More than $270k in Prizes So Far

    Level:6 (300/600/600)
    Entries:105/160 (121/290 combined)
    Prizes:$150,480 (Combined: $272,745)
    Local Time:5:05 PM

A bit more than 3 hours remain in entries for the NLH Main Event, and the combined field is now at 290 entries. That means the two-day prizes are closing in on $275k, and a final prize pool of ~$300k is still looking doable.

The 1b players will be on their second break of the day in about 5 minutes, and when they return, there are three levels of poker, plus the dinner break, left in registration.

  • 1b Ahead of 1a

    Level:5 (300/500/500)
    Entries:109/139 (125/269 combined)
    Prizes:$130,730 (Combined: $252,995)
    Local Time:4:15 PM

The 1b field has already capped the 1a total, and there are still 4 hours to get into today’s 1b action. Level 5 is half complete, and 1b is at 139 entries for 269 in total. That puts today’s prizes over $130k, and the combined prize pool over $250k.

Based on the current pace, a combined prize pool of $300k+ is still well within reach.

  • 115 Entries in Level 4

    Level:4 (200/400/400)
    Entries:99/115 (115/245 combined)
    Prizes:$108,158 (Combined: $230,423)
    Local Time:3:30 PM

I was a bit later to the game than I expected today, but it’s been a busy day so far by the looks of it. The 1b field is already at 115 entries for 245 combined, and a total prize pool so far of more than $230k.

It seems like a good bet that today’s field will hit 200 before the end of entries in a bit less than 5 hours. If they get to 200, that would mean prizes of more than $300k.

  • Second Flight to Sunday’s Day 2 Runs on Saturday

    Date:Mar 7, 1 PM
    Blinds:40 Minutes (60 Minutes on Day 2)
    Starting Stack:40k
    Late Entry:9 Levels (~8:15 PM)
Day 1 Ends:12.5% of the Field
    Enries:16/130
    Prizes:$122,265

There are already 16 players waiting for Day 2 action, as Day 1a played down from 130 entries to 16 in about 13 hours today. Josh Wallace, who was sniffing at the lead all night, ended the day with the most chips at 788k. The only other player to bag more than 700k was Cam Stewart, with 742k. Full stacks will be posted below.

Saturday is the final chance to bag a stack for this Main Event. The cards for Day 1b go in the air at 1 PM, and players will sit down with 40k in chips. Blinds are 40 minutes long throughout Day 1 action, and players will have 9 levels, plus breaks, to enter or rebuy. That should mean the last chance to enter this Main will be at about 8:15 PM on Saturday.

After that, they play down to 12.5% of the field. Day 1a played until well into Level 17, after an hour with the game at 18 players. It’s likely that Day 1b finishes earlier, but that remains to be seen. Day 2 action will begin at the lowest blinds from either Day 1 — right now, it looks like Day 2 is starting at 4k/8k/8k, but that could roll back tomorrow.

I might be a bit late for this one, but I should be in well before the first break, and I’ll be watching it until the end.

    Level:17 (4000/8000/8000)
    Entries:16/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:2:30 AM

It was a bit of a marathon to end the night, with the field at 18 for an hour before they lost two players at the same time to end the day. Josh Wallace has the biggest bag at the end of the day, with both him and Cam Stewart playing more than 700k for the top two spots. Mehmet Siginc, Travis Darroch, and Kyle Ho round out the top 5.

The game finished with 13:17 remaining in Level 17, so the highest blind level possible for Day 2 is 4k/8k/8k, but they’ll roll back the blinds if Day 1b finishes earlier.

    Level:17 (4000/8000/8000)
    Entries:16/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:1:50 AM

The field was at 18 players for more than an hour, but they just went from 18 to 16 in a single hand as Ryan Smith and Krista Meilleur busted on different tables at roughly the same time. The bags are now coming out — stay tuned for the final chip counts coming in about an hour.

    Entries:18/130
    Prizes:$122,265

  • Down to 19

    Level:15 (2500/5000/5000)
    Entries:19/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:12:20 AM

They are now 3 off the bags with about 5 minutes to play in Level 15. They’ll take a break following this level, and I’ll grab the stacks while they are out of the room.

  • 5 Off the Bags

    Level:14 (2000/4000/4000)
    Entries:21/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:11:40 PM

About 10 minutes remain in Level 14, and the field is down to 21 players. That puts them 5 off the bags, so it seems like a reasonable bet that they’ll hit the bubble sometime in Level 15 or early Level 16.

  • Final Three Tables, 11 Off the Bags

    Level:14 (2000/4000/4000)
    Entries:27/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:11:10 PM

Just as Level 14 began, they broke down to the final three tables with 27 players remaining. That puts them 11 eliminations away from the end of the night. There will be one more table break when they get to 18.

  • Stewart Up to 600k

    Level:13 (1500/3000/3000)
    Entries:29/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:11:00

Cam Stewart is now up to about 600k, and still looks to be the leader. Josh Wallace is now playing close to 500k. Ryan Cairns is up to about 400k, with Scot Munro on about 300k now.

Level 13 is nearly complete, and they are now 13 off the bags with 29 remaining.

  • Playing to 16

    Level:13 (1500/3000/3000)
    Entries:31/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:10:40 PM

They are 15 eliminations away from the bags now. I’ve just confirmed the final numbers, and according to the TD, Joanne Jost, they are playing down to 16 players tonight, not 17 as I previously reported.

There are now 31 players remaining.

  • Stewart Leads Final 34

    Level:13 (1500/3000/3000)
    Entries:34/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:10:20 PM

Cam Stewart looks to be leading right now, with 466k in front of him. Josh Wallace is playing 370k, while Scot Munro is on 265k now. Those look to be the three biggest stacks out there right now, but I didn’t count every stack.

  • Down to 38

    Level:12 (1500/2500/2500)
    Entries:38/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:9:45 PM

They are 21 off the bags, with the field at 38 players. About 30 minutes remain in Level 12, with another break scheduled following this level, and I’ll have a look around at the break again for the big stacks.

  • Final Five Tables for Day 1a

    Level:11 (1000/2000/2000)
    Entries:45/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:9:25 PM

Less than 10 minutes remain in Level 11, and the remaining field is now down to 45 left. That puts them on the final five tables for tonight, and they won’t play down past two tables, with the night expected to end with 17 players remaining.

  • 130 Entries Confirmed for Day 1a

    Level:11 (1000/2000/2000)
    Entries:54/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:8:55 PM

The field for Day 1a is confirmed at 130 entries, for prizes of $122,265. That means they’ll be playing down to 17 players tonight before the bags come out.

Level 11 has just begun, and the remaining field is down to 54 on the final 6 tables. Action is moving quickly at the moment, but my guess is that it will start to slow as they approach 30 remaining.

  • Entries Closed with 130 on the Board

    Level:10 (1000/1500/1500)
    Entries:66/130
    Prizes:$122,265
    Local Time:8:15 PM

Entries are now closed for day 1a of the NLH Main Event, with the final unofficial number at 130 entries. If that holds, it should mean at least 17 bags at the end of the night tonight. Play will continue until they get to that number.

  • Munro Leads at Dinner

    Level:9 (600/1200/1200)
    Entries:62/126
    Prizes:$118,503
    Local Time:8:00 PM

There are still 15 minutes remaining in the dinner break, and entries will be closed when they return. I’ve just had a look around at the stacks, and it looks like Scot Munro is the big stack right now. He has 240k and looks to be the only player with 200k or more. Cam Stewart looks to be second with 188k.

    Level:9 (600/1200/1200)
    Entries:62/126
    Prizes:$118,503
    Local Time:7:35 PM

Dinner has just begun for the Day 1a players, and the field as they went to dinner was 126. Entries are still open until they sit down for Level 10 at about 8:15 PM, and it seems likely there will be a few more entries over dinner to bring the final total somewhere around 130.

That should mean 16 bags at the end of tonight, but that might change depending on the entries over dinner.

  • Final Level of Entries for Day 1a

    Level:9 (600/1200/1200)
    Entries:70/122
    Prizes:$114,741
    Local Time:6:50 PM

The prizes are now just shy of $115k, with Level 9 just underway. This is the final level for entries, though the registration desk will stay open through the dinner break following this level. Once they sit down for Level 10 at about 8:15, entries for the first flight will be closed.

It’s looking like a field of 130 for today’s flight is a good bet right now.

  • More than $100k in Prizes

    Level:8 (500/1000/1000)
    Entries:70/109
    Prizes:$102,515
    Local Time:6:10 PM

The prizes are now over $100k with 109 entries on the board. There are just over 2 hours left to enter Day 1a, so a final field between 120 & 130 still seems like a solid bet.

  • More than 100 Entries on Second Break

    Level:7 (400/800/800)
    Entries:74/102
    Prizes:$95,931
    Local Time:5:15 PM

The Main Event players are on their second break of Day 1a, and the field is already over 100 entries, for prizes of more than $95k. There are still about 3 hours left to enter today’s flight, with a full Day 1b to run tomorrow.

Today’s field is looking like it will be at least 120 entries before registration closes, and it’s looking like a decent bet for a final field size of 300+ after tomorrow’s entries close.

  • $65k in Prizes on First Break

    Level:4 (200/400/400)
    Entries:61/70
    Prizes:$65,835
    Local Time:3:10 PM

The Day 1a players are on their first break of the day, and the field is now at 70 entries. That puts the prizes just over $65k and climbing, with about 5 hours left to enter.

  • More than $60k in Prizes

    Level:3 (200/300/300)
    Entries:58/66
    Prizes:$62,073
    Local Time:2:45 PM

Just under 15 minutes remain until the first break of Day 1a, and the field is now at 66 entries. That puts the prizes at more than $62k, with about 5.5 hours left to enter today’s flight. A final field in 1a of more than 100 entries is still looking good, and with 100 entries today, the prizes would be about $94k.

  • Nearing $55k in Prizes

    Level:3 (200/300/300)
    Entries:52/57
    Prizes:$53,609
    Local Time:2:20

The Main Event opening day is up to 57 entries for prizes of more than $50k. There are still just under 6 hours to play with entries open, so 100+ seems like a good bet still.

  • Nearly 50 Entries in Level 2

    Level:2 (100/200/200)
    Entries:46/49
    Prizes:$46,085
    Local Time:1:55 PM

Day 1a of the Main Event is up to 49 entries now, with about 20 minutes to play in Level 2. That puts the prizes over $45k and climbing, and with the early numbers so far, it looks like today’s flight could easily cap 100 entries before it closes at 8:15 PM tonight.

  • 24 Players to Start Day 1a

    Level:1 (100/100/1000)
    Entries:24/24
    Prizes:$22,572
    Local Time:1:10 PM

Day 1a of the Main Event is now underway with 24 players in their seats for Level 1. I won’t likely be watching this one very closely until later, as my focus will be on Day 2 of the PLO Main, but once that game completes I’ll move my focus here.

  • Main Event Time!

    Date:Mar 6, 1 PM
    Blinds:40 MInutes (Day 1)
    Starting Stack:40k
    Late Entry:9 Levels (~8:15 PM)
Day 1 Ends:12.5% of the Field, in the Money

It’s Main Event time on the Pure Poker Tour. The first NLH Main Event of 2026 is set to begin on Friday at 1 PM, while the newly added four-card version will play down to a winner.

Players get 40k in chips to start, and Day 1 blinds are 40 minutes (60 minutes on Day 2). The registration station is open for 9 levels during Day 1, with the scheduled close at 8:15 PM when players return from dinner for Level 10.

Day 1 continues until the field hits 12.5% of the starting field, when all remaining players will bag their chips for Sunday’s Day 2. All players returning on Day 2 are guaranteed a payout, and this is a “best stack forward” event, meaning that players who bag Day 1a can still play in Day 1b to try to increase their stack. Players who bag twice will play the big stack on Sunday, while immediately scoring a min-cash for the small bag.

The big question going into this game is whether Pav Braich can make it three in a row. He stepped up at the end of 2025 to go back-to-back Main Events, taking down the final two Mains of the year. The only other player to do that on the PPT so far is Eric Wasylenko, so it’s a pretty exclusive club. If he manages to make it three in a row, however, he’ll be in a class of his own.

I’ll be focusing most of my early attention on the PLO Main Event, which finishes on Friday, but I should be around for the final few levels of Day 1a in this one.

  • Josh Wallace Leads Day 1a Stacks

    Level:17 (4000/8000/8000)
    Entries:16/130

The game finished with 13:17 remaining in Level 17, so the highest blind level possible for Day 2 is 4k/8k/8k, but they’ll roll back the blinds if Day 1b finishes earlier.

There are now 31 players remaining.

    Entries:34/130

Limpert called to the 8 river, where Lawson bet 100k. Limpert raised it up to 300k, and Lawson called.

“Broadway,” said Limpert, showing K10. Lawson mucked QJ face up. Limpert has about 1 million after the hand, while Lawson was down to about 160k.

Stay tuned for the Day 2 opening post, including seat assignments and full stacks for the combined Day 2 field of 41.

    Entries:25/199 (41/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
Local Time:3:40 AM (time change in effect)

Day 1b is finally complete with 25 players bagging their chips. I’ll post the final chip count and the Day 2 seats within an hour or so, once the bags are collected and collated, and I get back to the hotel.

  • Teliani, Limpert Leading 2 off the Bags

    Level:17 (4000/8000/8000)
    Entries:27/199 (43/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
Local Time:3:07 AM (time change in effect)

They are down to the final three tables now, just 2 eliminations off the end of the night. It looks like bot Nu Teliani and Rob Limpert are playing more than 600k each, for the shared lead right now.

  • 3 More to Go

    Level:17 (4000/8000/8000)
    Entries:28/199 (44/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:1:55 AM

They are down to 28 remaining in Day 1b, with about 15 minutes to play in Level 17. That means they still need to lose 3 more players before the bags come out. At this point, it’s looking like they’ll hit the bubble play sometime before the end of this level, but the bags likely won’t come out until Level 18.

  • 6 Off the Bags

    Level:16 (3000/6000/6000)
    Entries:31/199 (47/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:1:25 AM

They are down to 31 players left in Day 1b, with about 10 minutes to play in Level 16. That means they still need to lose 6 more players before the end of the night, so it looks like both flights will play into Level 17 at least.

  • 39 Left at the Break

    Level:16 (3000/6000/6000)
    Entries:39/199 (55/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:12:40 AM

They are still 14 eliminations off the bags as Level 15 ends, and the players head to a break. Sheraz Nasir looks to be the big stack right now with about 540k in play, but Malcolm Bolger is close behind with about 450k, and Steven Chung is sitting at around 400k.

It’s looking increasingly like tonight will play into Level 17 before the bags come out.

  • Final Five Tables

    Level:14 (2000/4000/4000)
    Entries:45/199 (61/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:11:50 PM

They are just breaking down to the final five tables, with 45 players left alive. That puts them 20 eliminations off the end of the night, but with less than 5 minutes to play in Level 14, it still looks like Level 16 at the earliest before they finish tonight.

  • Down to 49

    Level:14 (2000/4000/4000)
    Entries:49/199 (65/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:11:45 PM

They are now 24 eliminations off the bags, with 49 players left alive now. The action has slowed considerably in recent levels, and it’s looking like the night will go well into Level 16 before it ends.

  • Sandhu Stacking Big

    Level:13 (1500/3000/3000)
    Entries:61/199 (77/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:10:30 PM

Garry Sandhu looks like the leader on the break following Level 12. He is playing more than 500k at the moment, while Sheraz Nasir looks to be in second place with about 400k.

  • Final Seven Tables

    Level:12 (1500/2500/2500)
    Entries:62/199 (78/329 combined)
    Prizes:$187,160 (Combined: $309,425)
    Local Time:10:10 PM

About 10 minutes remain in Level 12, with another break to follow this level. I’ll have a look around for some big stacks on the break.

The field is down to 62 players now, on the final seven players, and the action has slowed a bit recently.

    Big Blind: 44
    Pav Braich: AA

The board completed with the JQ for Braich to find the elimination.

    Entries:37/329
    Prizes:$309,425
