  • Final Three Cut a Deal

    Level:28 (50000/100000/100000)
    Entries:1/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:11:30 PM

Event #3 is over, and it ended in a three-way chop. The stacks weren’t that far apart once they got three-way, and the players started talking about how quickly variance could take over the game. They ran the ICM numbers and everyone was happy, so the deal was done.

Brad Bishop had the chip lead and took the win and $26k. David (Heechan) Kang was second and took $23,275, while Jeff Forester grabbed third place for $20k. The final table results are below, with the full prizes listed under the payouts tab.

  • Mehmet Siginc Out in 4th Place for $11,185

    Level:28 (50000/100000/100000)
    Entries:3/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:11:05 PM
    Mehmet Siginc

Mehmet Siginc shoved his button, but Brad Bishop reshoved the small blind with more. Jeff Forester open-mucked pocket fives to leave them heads up.

Siginc was on queen-ten, but he ran into ace-king for Bishop. An ace-king on the flop left Siginc drawing thin to a jack for a straight, but it never came, and the start-of-day leader had to settle for fourth place tonight, after sending his stack to the player who was right behind him to start the day.

  • Bishop Has to Sweat for Double

    Level:27 (40000/80000/80000)
    Entries:4/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:10:50 PM

Mehmet Siginc raised the small blind enough to put big blind Brad Bishop all in. Bishop called it off in good shape with king-ten over seven-three of hearts for Siginc.

It should have been pretty easy for Bishop, but when the flop came with two hearts, he was a bit sweaty. The runout was clean, however, and his king-high held for the double-up from 1.15 million.

  • Bishop Gets a Double

    Level:27 (40000/80000/80000)
    Entries:4/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:10:20 PM

Brad Bishop was the short stack at the break, but he just doubled from 650k. Big stack Heechang Kang raised to 160k from the button, then called it off when Bishop shoved.

Kang was dominated with ten-nine into king-ten, and the 23JJ7 board missed both hands to leave the king-high in front.

  • Kang Leads on Break

    Entries:4/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:9:55 PM
    Curtis Singleton

They are down to 4 after Curtis Singleton hit the rail tonight for 5th place. I missed the final action, but he was left short after Jeff Forester cracked his aces with jacks, but he managed to ladder up one spot after that for 5th place.

  • Cam Stewart Out in 6th Place for $6,820

    Level:26 (30000/60000/60000)
    Entries:5/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:9:45 PM
    Brad Bishop

Cam Stewart looks to be continuing his momentum from last year, with another final table performance here on the PPT. He bowed out in 6th place tonight in action that I missed while I was out of the room.

  • Kang Gets the River Fold

    Level:26 (30000/60000/60000)
    Entries:6/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:9:35 PM

Heechan Kang limped the small blind, then called when Mehmet Siginc made it 180k to go from the big blind. Kang fired 120k on the A68 flop, and Siginc called to the 4 turn.

They both checked to the 3 river, where Kamg put out 160k. Siginc hit the tal for a bit before he mucked.

“Did you have something?” he asked.

“Of course,” replied Kang as he collected the pot.

  • Forester Gets There for a Double

    Level:25 (25000/50000/50000)
    Entries:6/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:9:25 PM

Curtis Singleton raised the middle to 100k before Jeff Forester shoved the cutoff for 975k. Heechan Kang tanked for a bit on the button before he mucked. Both blinds mucked as well before Singleton snapped it off with the biggest stack and pocket aces.

Forester was in trouble with pocket jacks, but he found a jack on the flop, and Singleton couldn’t catch up. The hand put Forester close to 2 million, while Singleton is down to about 300k as Level 26 gets underway.

  • Steve Azizi Out in 7th Place for $5,370

    Level:25 (25000/50000/50000)
    Entries:6/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:9:10 PM
    Steve Azizi

Steve Azizi was short after the crazy hand against Heechan Kang recently, and he shoved blind from early position. Mehmet Siginc and Curtis Singleton both called, then checked it down through a board of 366A9.

Azizi’s ten-five was no good against pocket eights for Siginc, and Singleton mucked to send Azizi home in 7th as the pot slid to Siginc.

  • Kang Gets There On the Turn

    Level:25 (25000/50000/50000)
    Entries:7/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:9:00 PM

Heechan Kang raised to 150k under the gun, and Steve Azizi called from his immediate left. Kang fired another 150k on the 863 flop, and Azizi shoved a covering stack.

Kang called it off, but was in rough shape when he saw Azizi flopped a set of eights. A queen of hearts on the turn flipped the script to send Kang to the lead, but Azizi had the eight of hearts for a flush draw. The 7 river was a brick for both, and the queens held.

Kang doubled off 640k, and left Azizi on about 200k.

  • Azizi Limps Aces

    Level:25 (25000/50000/50000)
    Entries:7/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:8:50 PM

Steve Azizi and Mehmet Siginc are finding some interesting blind on blind hands tonight. In the most recent confrontation, Azizi limped the small, and Siginc checked the big.

“Pay attention, Lyle,” Cam Stewart said. “Something crazy is about to happen.”

The flop was 2K6 and Azizi bet 60k. The table commented that it was the perfect flop for Siginc’s six-deuce from the previous confrontation, but Siginc mucked his hand before Azizi showed pocket aces to the table.

  • Pav Braich Out in 8th Place for $4,250

    Level:25 (25000/50000/50000)
    Entries:7/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:8:45 PM
    Pav Braich

Pav Braich shoved for 190k under the gun, and Jeff Forester called from the big blind. Braich was on Q10 ahainst AJ for Forester.

Forester found an ace to take a bigger lead on the flop, but Braich flopped a spade draw. He ultimately bricked it when the board ran K5A22, and Forester sent him to the rail with a dlopped pair of aces.

  • Crazy Blind on Blind Action Leads to Chop

    Level:24 (20000/40000/40000)
    Entries:8/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:8:30 PM

Poker often comes down to the run of the cards, but sometimes, something happens that almost makes the cards irrelevant. That was the case when Steve Azizi and Mehmet Siginc ended up chopping a hand blind v blind.

Azizi limped to 40k from the small blind, then called when Siginc made it 140k from the big. Azizi check-called for 140k on the nine-nine-ten, two-club flop. Another ten came on the turn, which also brought in a second flush draw.

Azizi checked again, and Siginc fired 270k. Azizi said he thought about shoving, but instead flatted, and they both checked the 8 river, which brought in the club flush. The table was in disbelief when they finally saw the hands — Azizi was on a counterfeit pair of sevens, while Siginc was playing six-deuce, and they chopped up a pot after some crazy action.

  • David Cox Out in 9th Place for $3,465

Cam Stewart raised the middle to 60k, and it folded to Steve Azizi in the big blind, who called to see 2210 on the flop. He led for 130k, forcing Stewart to fold.

“Don’t raise my big blind again,” he said with a smile, showing six-deuce to the table as he took the pot.

    Entries:9/255

Steve Azizi limped from the middle before Brad Bishop limped from the button, and Jeff Forrester and David Cox came along from the blinds. All four players checked the 45K flop, but after two checks on the Q tur, Azizi bet 65k and took it down.

  • Duong Bubbles Final Table

    Level:22 (15000/25000/25000)
    Entries:9/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:7:00 PM

The final table is now set after Brad Bishop sent Lap Chi Duong home in 10th place. Bishop limped the small blind, and Duong checked his option to see 42J on the flop.

Bishop check-shoved over a 50k bet from Duong, and he called it off with top pair holding jack-seven. Bishop smashed the flop for two pair with four-deuce, however, and held on the 69 run out.

Stay tuned for the final table faces.

  • Duong Drains his Beer, the Shoves

    Level:22 (15000/25000/25000)
    Entries:10/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:6:45 PM

After Brad Bishop limped from the small blind, Lap Chi Duong, who is vlogging his tournament today at LapChiPoker on Instagram, turned the camera around to face him, and chugged the remaining half of his beer.

As he swallowed the final swig, he announced, “All in”.

“Who does that,” asked Steve Azizi with a smile, while Bishop quietly mucked his hand to the short-stack, theatrical shove from Duong.

  • Braich Won’t Stand for Limpers

    Level:22 (15000/25000/25000)
    Entries:10/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:6:35 PM

Steve Azizi was first in from the cutoff with a limp. Chip Leader Brad Bishop followed from the button, and Lap Chi Duopng completed from the small blind before Pav Braich decided he wasn’t going to a flop four ways and shoved for 440k.

That was plenty to watch Azizi, Bishop, and Duong fold in order to send him the pot. Duong is pretty short now.

  • Final Table Bubble

Curtis Singleton opened the button to 45k, and both Steve Azizi and Brad Bishop called from the blinds. They all checked through the 3JK7 flop and turn, but Azizi fired 100k on the 6 river. Bishop mucked, but Singleton called, only to see his king-nine drop to the twp pair for Azizi with king-jack.

  • Siginc Rockets to Win

    Entries:14/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:5:45 PM

Michael St. Pierre-Porter limped the small blind, then called when Mehmet Siginc made it 50k from the big. They both checked the 7K2 flop, but St. Pierre-Porter bet 70k on the 8 turn.

Siginc called, and on the 4 river, St. Pierre-Porter check-called for 100k, but his king-three was no good against the pocket aces for Siginc.

    Entries:16/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:5:50 PM

Pav Braich has moved to Table 17 to take over the seat of Jo Teliani, who ended her day in 17th place. He shoved a few hands after he arrived at the table, getting it through to take the blinds and antes.

In the next hand, Cam Stewart raised the cutoff to 30k, and Curtis Singleton defended his big blind with a call. Singleton check-folded the 7109 flop after Stewart bet 45k. Stewart was on a tear at the end of 2025, final tabling a bunch of times in the final two series, with multiple heads-up finishes, but he’s still looking for his first trophy. It looks like he hasn’t lost any momentum to start 2026, as he’s deep in for another cash so far, and now just 7 eliminations away from another final table.

  • Kang Gets the Fold

    Level:20 (10000/15000/15000)
    Entries:17/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:4:30 PM

Heechan Kang opened early to 25k on the final hand of Level 19. Mehmet Siginc called from the hijack, as did Jeff Forester from the big blind.

The flop was 7J5, and Forester checked to Kang, who fired 50k. Siginc got out of the way, but Firester stuck around for the A turn.

Forester check-called again, this time for 125k. On the 3 river, Forester checked again, but then mucked when Kang fired a sized-down 90k river bet.

  • Douglas Doubles

    Level:19 (6000/12000/12000)
    Entries:17/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:4:20 PM

Steve Azizi opened under the gun to 35k, but realized he’d stepped in it after Jo Teliani shoved the hijack, and Graham Douglas reshoved a bit smaller from the small blind. He got out of the way to leave Teliani’s ace-king of clubs up against pocket aces for Douglas.

The aces held, and Azizi joked after the hand that he was “4th” in that three-way, mucking queen jack. He would have flopped a jack on [invalid notations] but his flopped jacks were never good. Teliani is a bit short now after counting out the double for Graham when she couldn’t find the cards she needed.

Edward Sorenson opened from the cutoff to 30k before Lap Chi Duong shoved the button for 155k. Sorensen called it off for the most classic of flips — ace-king for Duong into queens for Sorensen.

Duong spiked a king on the flop, but he was still worried about the queen coming through the river on a board of 35K84. Duong is vlogging his game today on his Instagram page.

    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:3:50 PM

Cam Stewart opened under the gun to 20k, and Nathan Tang called from the cutoff, as did Brad Bishop from the big blind. They all checked the 6JQ flop, but when Bishop led for 20k on the 10 turn, Stewart and Tang folded to send the pot to Bishop.

  • St. Pierre-Porter Doubles through Forester

    Entries:19/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:3:40 PM

Michael St. Pierre-Porter opened the button to 20k, then snapped it off when Jeff Forester shoved the big blind with a covering stack. It was a classic race between ace-king for St. Pierre-Porter against pocket nines for Forester. Forester remained good on the flop, but St. Pierre-Porter turned the ace on J210A4 to get the double to a bit more than 200k, while Forester is still playing almost 700k.

Meanwhile, on other tables, Holly Berry & Alemu Makonen hit the rail to bring the game to 19 left.

The J34 flop was already out, and DJ Sharma was facing a bet of 30k from Edward Sorensen. Sharma made the call to the 7 turn, where Sorensen fired 50k.

Sharma pumped it up to 205k with a shove, and after a couple of minutes in the tank, Sorensen mucked his hand to send the pot to Sharma.

  • Siginc Leads Final 21

Level 18 is just underway, and I made it around to all the stacks during the break. Mehmet Siginc is the only player over 1 million chips right now, playing 1.15 million. Curtis Singleton is the next biggest, with 740k. See below for a full look at seats, players, and stacks.

DJ Sharma is in action today. First, Curtis Singleton doubled through him when his king-queen couldn’t crack a set of sixes for Singleton, then he scored a double when he got there on the river for trip nines against Lap Chi Duong’s flopped pair of jacks. See the action below, as recorded by LapChiPoker on Instagram.

The action is moving quickly so far in Event #3, with 11 players eliminated so far in the first hour and a half of play. About 20 minutes remain in Level 17 before the first break of the day, and I’ll grab full chips on the break.

    Local Time:1:40 PM

The Day 2 field is down to 26 left now after Murray Duval was the first to exit the final three tables. After working some math on the payouts for today, it looks like a certainty that whoever wins this event will take the current lead in the Player of the Series race.

There are 216 points up top for first, with Francis Fan currently leading the way with 122 points. In fact, it looks like the top three in PoS will come from today’s field, as second place will get 180, and third should get 144.

    Date:Mar 1, 1 PM

    Entries:32/255
    Prizes (1st):$145,350 ($32,385)
    Chip Leader:Mehmet Siginc (653k)

Day 2 of Event #3 is now set, with 32 players returning from a starting field of 255 across both flights. When all the bags were collected, Mehmet Siginc’s Day 1b bag was the biggest by 150k, bagging 653k compared to the 1a leader, Brad Bishop, with 503k.

They are the only two players with more than half a million to start the day, but David Cox (1b), Lap Chi Duong (1a), and Jeff Forester (1b) round out the top five. They are all basically playing 400k or more, though Forester is technically just below that threshold at 398k. The “sixth member” of the top five is Jo Teliani with 373.5k, and she’ll be returning for Day 2 fresh off her win in the Second Chance NLH on Saturday night.

The Day 2 action starts at 1 PM, and blinds continue to play at 40 minutes. They’ll kick off the action in Level 15 with blinds at 2.5k/5k/5k, and play down to a winner before they end for the day. Full stacks and seat assignments are below.

David Cox, who won the PLO Deepstack Hyper last night, is the second 1b stack with 436, and Jeff Forester, Holly Berry, and Heechan Kang round out the top five.

  • End of Night Bubble

    Level:16 (3000/6000/6000)
    Entries:19/144 (39/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:12:35 AM

Level 15 has just ended, and in the final hand, Nathan Tang sent Nu Teliani home on the soft bubble. She was all in with a short stack and an ace, but ran into jacks for Tang and couldn’t get there. That means they’ll be at 19 when they return from the break for Level 16, and the next elimination will bring out the bags.

  • 2 Off the Bags

    Level:15 (2500/5000/5000)
    Entries:20/144 (40/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:12:15 AM

About 15 minutes remain in Level 15, and the field is now at 20 players left, 2 off the bags to end the night. It now looks like a bit of a race to end, and it’s an open question whether they’ll go farther than Level 15 tonight, but either way, tomorrow’s Day 2 will start in Level 15 with blinds of 2.5k/5k/5k.

  • 5 Off the Bags to Start Level 15

    Level:15 (25000/5000/5000)
    Entries:23/144 (43/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:11:50 PM

Level 15 has just begun for Day 1b, with the field now at 23 players remaining. That leaves them 5 players off the bags, and it seems like a decent bet they’ll get there sometime in this level, though the average stack is more than 30 bigs right now.

  • 6 Off the Bags

    Level:14 (2000/4000/4000)
    Entries:24/144 (44/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:11:35 PM

The 1b field is nearing the end of the night with 24 players still alive. That puts them 6 off the bags with 15 minutes to play in Levcel 4, so Level 15 still looks like a decent bet for the end of the evening.

  • Final Three Tables

    Level:14 (2000/4000/4000)
    Entries:27/144 (47/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:11:15 PM

Day 1a is now down to 27 players on the final three tables. That leaves them 9 players off the end of the night, so bags in Level 15 is looking increasingly likely.

  • 12 Off the Bags

    Level:13 (1500/2500/2500)
    Entries:30/144 (50/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:10:55 PM

The 1b field is now down to 20 players left, with 18 bags expected at the end of the night. About 15 minutes remain in Level 13, so it looks like this could end in Level 15 tonight.

  • $32k For the Winner

    Level:13 (1500/3000/3000)
    Entries:34/144 (54/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:10:30 PM

The Day 2 prizes are in, and 32 players will get paid on Sunday. The winner is set to pocket $32,385 and will almost certainly take the Player of the Series lead, as 216 points are up for grabs for the winner. Local Time:10:15 PM

The 1b field is down to 28 players left now, 20 eliminations away from the end of the night. Today’s action seems a bit slower than 1a at this point, so tonight’s action may extend into Level 16. They are just about to head out for the break, and I’ll have a look around for some more big stacks.

    Entries:44/144 (64/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:9:45 PM

The 1b field has just broken down to the final 5 tables with 44 players left. They are now 26 eliminations away from the bags.

  • Down to 50 Left

    Level:11 (1000/2000/2000)
    Entries:50/144 (70/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:9:20 PM

The 1b field is down to 50 players left, with about 10 minutes left in Level 11. I’ll do another chip check at the next break following Level 12, but the field will likely still be too big for me to do a full count.

The game today should be playing down to 18 bags, so they are still 32 eliminations away from the end of Day 1b.

  • Forester Leads with Entries Closed

    Entries:60/144 (80/255 combined)

    Local Time:8:20 PM

Entries are now closed for Event #3, and the unofficial total for today was 144 entries, for 255 across both starting days. If that number holds, it will mean 18 bags tonight, and Sunday prizes of more than $145k.

After a quick look around on the dinner break, Jeff Forester is way ahead of the field. He’s playing more than 300k, and I didn’t see any other stacks bigger than 200k out there.

    Entries:61/131 (81/242 combined)
    Prizes:$74,670 (Combined: $137,940)
    Local Time:6:55 PM

Level 9 is now underway, and this is the final level to enter the game. They’ll still be taking entries through the 45-minute dinner break following this level, and the entries will be closed at the start of Level 10, around 8:15 PM.

The 1b field is now over 130, for a combined field of 242 and prizes of just shy of $138k.

  • $135k Combined

    Level:8 (500/1000/1000)
    Entries:60/126 (80/237 combined)
    Prizes:$71,820 (Combined: $135,090)
    Local Time:6:35 PM

Just under 15 minutes remain in Level 8, and Level 9 will be the final level of poker with entries open. The desk will be open through the dinner break following Level 9, and will be closed when they sit down for Level 10 at about 8:15 PM. That puts the end of entries about 1.5 hours away now.

  • More than $130k Combined

    Level:7 (400/800/800)
    Entries:73/119 (93/230 combined)
    Prizes:$67,830 (Combined: $131,100)
    Local Time:6:00 PM

The 1b field is now at 119 entries, for 230 combined and $131k in prizes. Level 7 is nearly complete, so there are two levels, plus the dinner break, until entries are closed for Event #3.

  • Forester Leads as 1b Hits 1a Numbers

    Entries:70/111 (90/222 combined)
    Prizes:$63,270 (Combined: $126,540)
    Local Time:5:35 PM

There are still more than 2.5 hours left to get into today’s flight, but the field is already equal to the total 1a field. That puts the combined field at 222 entries for prizes of more than $126k. Jeff Forester looks to be leading to start Level 7 with 140k in front of him, with Mehmet Siginc playing about 120k in second.

    Entries:72/103 (92/214 combined)
    Prizes:$58,710 (Combined: $121,980)
    Local Time:4:40 PM

Level 6 has just begun, and the 1b field is now over 100 entries. That puts the combined field at 214 entries for prizes of $121,980 so far. There are still 3.5 hours left to get into today’s flight, so a 1b total of 150 or more is still in the cards. If they manage to hit 150 entries today, that would mean a Day 2 prize pool of just shy of $150k.

  • Nearly 100 Entries for 1b

    Level:5 (300/500/500)
    Entries:72/97 (92/208 combined)
    Prizes:$55,290 (Combined: $118,560)
    Local Time:4:25 PM

There are still about 3.75 hours left to enter today’s final flight, and the 1b entries are already nearing 100. The combined field is now well over 200 and climbing, with the combined prizes sitting just shy of $120k.

  • Almost $115k Combined

    Level:5 (300/500/500)
    Entries:68/88 (88/199 combined)
    Prizes:$50,160 (Combined: $113,430)
    Local Time:4:05 PM

Just over 30 minutes remain in Level 5, and the 1b field is at 88. That puts the 1b prizes over $50k and the combined prizes a couple of entries shy of $115k. Ryan Smith, Jimmy Lee, and Stephen Dauphinais are among the familiar faces I spotted in the field recently.

  • St. Pierre-Porter Leads Early

    Level:4 (200/400/400)
    Entries:67/78 (87/189 combined)
    Prizes:$44,460 (Combined: $107,730)
    Local Time:3:15 PM

It looks like Michael St. Pierre-Porter is the chip leader right now, playing just shy of 80k, but Mehment Sicinc & Brian Fleming are also playing stacks of more than 70k.

    Local Time:3:00 PM

Level 3 is nearly complete with 73 entries on the board so far. That puts the combined prizes at nearly $105k as they head to the first break of Day 1b. I’ll have a quick look around for some big stacks on the break, but there are quite a few stacks to get through, so I may miss a few.

  • $100k in Combined Prizes

    Level:3 (200/300/300)
    Entries:58/64 (78/175 combined)
    Prizes:$36,480 (Combined: $99,750)
    Local Time:2:40 PM

The combined prize pool is now one entry away from $100k, with more than half of Level 3 left to play. They’ll take their first break of the day following this level, but there are still more than 5.5 hours to enter this final flight. Andy Truong made it near the end last night, but ran into a blind-on-blind spot against Razvan Radu where Radu woke up with aces. Truong had shoved the small with a covering stack, but ran into the rockets and had to count out a double.

Truong, who picked up a circuit ring last October in Calgary and already has a few PPT Trophies in his case, is in the mix again today, along with Michael “Berny” Bernstein.

  • Almost 60 Entries

    Level:2 (100/200/200)
    Entries:53/59 (73/170 combined)
    Prizes:$33,630 (Combined: $96,900)
    Local Time:2:15 PM

The combined prizes are now over $95k and climbing, with Level 2 nearly complete. The combined field is now 170 entries, so 200+ looks like a lock for this one.

Among the players I spotted at the felt on my last circuit of the room were Ryan Comely, Ryan Strap, Dylan Webb, Brady O’Hara, Nicholas Peterson, Jerry Tria, Daniel Lefebvre, Aamir Khan, Brett Worton, Leonard Siebenga, Sharmark Mohammed, Shawn Taghavi, Fred Werezak, Johnny Dalphond, Jeff Forester, Curtis Singleton, and Holly Berry.

    Entries:46/49 (66/160 combined)
    Prizes:$27,930 (Combined: $91,200)
    Local Time:1:50 PM

Day 1b of Event #3 is ticking along, with the field now one entry shy of 50. That puts the combined prizes over $90k, and the final tally is looking good for a combined prize pool of ~$150k for Sunday’s Day 2.

However, there are also three other events now in the books, with the Seniors and First Chance playing out on opening day, and the PLO Deepstack Hyper finishing last night. Francis Fan is the star of the show so far, after his win in Event #1 and min-cash in Event #4. That gives Fan 122.4 points so far, about 20 points ahead of second-place Jimmy Lee with 105.6.

There is still lots of time for that to change, with all events so far playing out with low buy-ins and therefore lower points totals. The winner of this Event #3 is likely to meet or beat Fan’s current score just for the one win, and points from the big final events like the two Mains will also tend to overshadow earlier scores in the lower buy-ins.

  • More than 40 Entries in Level 1

    Level:2 (100/200/200)
    Entries:41/43 (61/154 combined)
    Prizes:$24,510 (Combined: $87,780)
    Local Time:1:40 PM

Level 2 is about to begin with 43 entries on the board and 41 players still alive. That means the prizes are nearing $90k combined before the end of the opening level today.

Among the players I’ve spotted today are Bash Ramahi, Ali Razzaq, Benny Sarnelli, Rob Lothian, Russ Sluchinski, Michael St. Pierre-Porter, Matthew Ouellette, Trevor Simpson, Todd “The Rock”, and Mehmet Siginc.

  • 21 Players Pre-Board for 1b

    Level:1 (100/100/100)
    Entries:21/21
    Prizes:$11,970 (Combined: $75,240)
    Local Time:1:00 PM

Day 1b is now underway, with 21 players in their seats to start the day’s action. That already puts the combined prizes over $75k and climbing. It seems like a lock that they’ll be playing for more $100k tomorrow. If today’s flight reaches the 150 entries that I predict, that should mean prizes of around $150k.

  • Final Flight to Day 2 Now Boarding

    Date:Feb 28, 1 PM
    Blinds:40 Minutes
    Starting Stack:30k
    Late Entry:9 Levels (~8:15 PM)
Day 1 Ends:12.5% of the Starting Field
    Day 1a Entries:111
    Day 1a Prizes:$63,270

The final flight for Event #3 is now set, with 14 players already waiting for Sunday’s Day 2 from the 1a field. Day 1a saw 111 total entries, and when the dust settled at the end of the night, Brad Bishop led the 1a field with the only stack of more than 500k.

Day 1b is a redo of 1a, though the expectation is always that it will be bigger than the first go-round. With 111 in 1a, I expect 1b to easily cap 150 entries before registration closes.

The action kicks off at 1 PM, and they’ll play 9 levels of poker before the entries close. With 40-minute levels, that should put the final rebuy chance at about 8:15 PM. After that, they’ll play down to 12.5% of the original starting field before the bags come out to end the day.

    Entries:14/111
    Prizes:$63,270
    Local Time:12:40 AM

Day 1a of Event #3 is now complete with 14 players now waiting for Day 2. Brad Bishop leads the way with the only 1a stack more than 500k, while Lap Chi Duong isn’t far behind.

Razvan Radu bagged the smallest stack tonight, but he got there after a huge spot blind on blind. Andy Truong open-shoved the small blind with Radu on about 4 bigs. Radu looked down at pocket aces and snapped it off. He was well ahead of the queen-nine for Truong, and a couple of aces on the board gave Radu the double up with quad aces.

    Level:15 (2500/5000/5000)
    Entries:15/111
    Prizes:$63,270
    Local Time:11:55

Day 1a is now on the bubble with 15 players left. They’ll bring out the bags after the next elimination. Dale Campbell was the soft bubble tonight.

  • 2 Off the Bags

    Level:14 (2000/4000/4000)
    Entries:16/111
    Prizes:$63,270
    Local Time:11:40 PM

The 1a field is now 2 off the bags with 16 players left. There are about 10 minutes left in Level 14, so bags in Level 15 look like a pretty good bet now.

  • Truong Wins Blind V Blind; Makonen Silences the Chatters

    Level:13 (1500/3000/3000)
    Entries:20/111
    Prizes:$63,270
    Local Time:11:00

On Table 14, it was blind v blind with Brad Bishop in the small, and Andy Truong in the big. They limped to a flop of 822 then checked through the 6 turn. Bishop fired 6k on the 4 river, and Truong quickly called with his K2 winning over the 75 for Bishop.

Shortly after, on Table 13, DJ Sharma and Lap Chi Duong are monopolizing the table conversation, chirping at each other. Sharma was talking about taking Duong’s big blind and raised the middle to 6k. Alemu Makonen called from the button, and Duong called as well.

The flop was QJ7, and after two checks from the vocal players, Makonen quietly put out 8k to take down the hand. Duong recently requested a deck change for the table, his second deck change request today, and Sharma jokingly refused the change. Shortly after this hand played out, Sharma joked that he wanted a new deck for the table once again, but they are still playing with the one requested by Duong about 20 minutes ago.

    Level:13 (1500/3000/3000)

    Local Time:10:50 PM

The 1a field is now down to 20 players left, just 6 away from the bags. I’m expecting action to slow at this point as they approach the bags, so I’m still looking at Level 15 for the bags to come out.

  • 11 Off the Bags

    Level:12 (1500/2500/2500)
    Entries:25/111
    Prizes:$63,270
    Local Time:10:00 PM

With about 15 minutes to play in Level 12, the field is down to 25 remaining. That puts them 11 players off the 14 bags expected to end the night. There is a break following this level, and I’ll grab a full round of chip counts while they are away from the tables.

  • Fewer the 20 Away from the Bags

    Level:11 (1000/2000/2000)
    Entries:33/111
    Prizes:$63,270
    Local Time:9:25 PM

Just under 10 minutes remain in Level 11, and the field is down to 33 remaining. That leaves them 19 eliminations off the 14 bags to end the night.

The next break comes up following Level 12, and I’ll geta full count of the remaining players at that time.

  • 24 Off the Bags

    Level:11 (1000/2000/2000)
    Entries:38/111
    Prizes:$63,270
    Local Time:9:00 PM

The 1a field is down to 38 players left as Level 11 begins. That puts them 24 players off the 14 bags expected at the end of the night, and given the current pace, it looks like Day 1a will bag up somewhere in Level 15.

  • 111 Entries for 1a

    Level:10 (1000/1500/1500)
    Entries:47/111
    Prizes:$63,270
    Local Time:8:30 PM

Dinner is finished, and the final tally for entries for Day 1a was 111. That number still needs to be confirmed by the casino staff, but if it holds, there should be 14 bags at the end of the night.

There are now 47 players remaining, putting them 33 eliminations off the end of the night. At the next break following Level 12, I’ll do a full chip update for the remaining field.

  • Taghavi Leads on Dinner

    Level:9 (600/1200/1200)
    Entries:45/106
    Prizes:$60,420
    Local Time:8:10 PM

Shawn Taghavi looks to be leading the way on the dinner break. He’s playing about 270k going into Level 10, but Andy Truong is close on his heels with 255k, and Brad Bishop is also playing more than 200k

    Level:9 (600/1200/1200)
    Entries:44/104
    Prizes:$59,280
    Local Time:7:30 PM

Level 9 has just ended and the final 44 players are off for their dinner break. Entries are still open through the dinner break, but when they sit down for Level 10 at about 8:15, the 1a field will be set in stone. It seems likely they’ll get a couple more entries before dinner is over, with the current numbers looking like at least 13 bags for the end of the night.

  • Almost 100 Entries

    Level:8 (500/1000/1000)
    Entries:52/98
    Prizes:$55,860
    Local Time:6:35 PM

The 1a field is up to 98 entries now, just 2 shy of three figures. That puts the prizes at more than $55k so far.

Players will go on their dinner break following Level 9, and entries will close when they return from dinner for Level 10.

  • Truong, Taghavi Lead

    Level:7 (400/800/800)
    Entries:55/88
    Prizes:$50,160
    Local Time:5:30 PM

I’ve just had another look around and it looks like Andy Truong is leading, with Shawn Taghavi close behind. See below for a look at 5 of the biggest stacks I saw on the break.

  • Just Shy of $50k on Second Break

    Level:7 (400/800/800)
    Entries:53/86
    Prizes:$49,020
    Local Time:5:20 PM

Level 7 is about to begin with 86 entries on the board. That puts them just two entries away from $50k in prizes today, and a final field size over 100 is still looking like a good bet for today. Weston Pring and Ali Khani are among the new faces I spotted last time around.

  • Nearing 75 Entries

    Level:5 (300/500/500)
    Entries:58/72
    Prizes:$41,040
    Local Time:4:20 PM

With about 15 minutes remaining in Level 5, the field is now at 72 entries with 58 players still stacking chips. That puts the prizes so far over $40k, and it seems like a decent bet that today’s flight will easily cap $50k before entries close in just under 4 hours.

  • More than 60 Entries

    Level:4 (200/400/400)
    Entries:54/61
    Prizes:$34,770
    Local Time:3:40 PM

Just under 15 minutes remain in Level 4, and the field is now over 60 entries for prizes just shy of $35k. Entries for today’s flight remain open for another 4.5 hours.

  • Taghavi Looks to be Leading

    Level:4 (200/400/400)
    Entries:49/54
    Prizes:$30,780
    Local Time:3:10 PM

They are about 5 minutes away from the start if Level 4, and it looks like Shawn Taghavi is the chip leader right now with a bit more than 80k in front of him. Brad Bishop also looks to be playing about 80k, while Edward Sorensen & Ross Wilson are both playing about 50k right now.

  • $30k on First Break

    Level:3 (200/300/300)
    Entries:49/54
    Prizes:$30,780
    Local Time:3:00 PM

The Day 1a players are on their first break of the day with the end of Level 3. There are 54 entries on the board now, for prizes of just over $30k so far, and more than 6 hours left to enter today’s flight.

I’ll have a quick look around for some big stacks, and post them for the start of Level 4.

  • Nearing 50 Entries Before First Break

    Level:3 (200/300/300)
    Entries:45/48
    Prizes:$27,360
    Local Time:2:35 PM

About 25 minutes remain in Level 3, with the first break of the day scheduled following this level. The field is now at 48 entries with 45 players still alive, and 1a prizes of $27,360. Ross Wilson, Ryan Comely, and Rhonda Fiveland are among the fresh faces I spotted in the field recently.

  • 1a Prize Pool Caps $25k in Level 2

    Level:2 (100/200/200)
    Entries:42/45
    Prizes:$25,650
    Local Time:2:10 PM

About 10 minutes remain in Level 2, and the field is now up to 45 entries with 42 players still sitting with stacks. That puts the prizes just over $25k with a bit more than 6 hours left to enter today’s flight.

With the current pace, I’d expect the final numbers for 1a to hit 100 or more before entries close.

  • Nearing $25k in Prizes

    Level:2 (100/200/200)
    Entries:40/40
    Prizes:$22,800
    Local Time:1:50 PM

Level 2 has about 30 minutes remaining, with the field now at 40 players. So far, it looks like there haven’t been any bustouts, so all 40 players are still at the felt.

Brett Worton & Skyler York are among the newer faces I’ve spotted since my last update.

  • More than $15k in Prizes in Opening Level

    Level:1 (100/100/100)
    Entries:31/31
    Prizes:$17,670
    Local Time:1:30 PM

10 minutes still remain in the opening level of play, but the field is already over 30 entries with prizes closing in on $20k. Among the more recent faces I’ve spotted in the field are Nicholas Peterson, Michael St. Pierre-Porter, Dale “Soupy” Campbell, Benny Sarnelli (who picked up his first Circuit ring last month in Calgary when he took down the record field in the Mini Main Event), and Andy Truong.

  • Multi-Day Action Underway!

    Level:1 (100/100/100)
    Entries:21/21
    Prizes:$11,970

The action for the opening flight to Event #3 is now underway with 21 players in their seats to start the day. That puts the prizes at close to $12k already, and some of the early players competing for a piece of those prizes include Cam Stewart, who was a final table monster near the end of the 2025 season, as well as Lap Chi Duong, Ryan Cairns, Todd “The Rock”, Trevor Simpson, and Matthew Ouellette.

  • First Multi-Day Game Starts Friday

    Date:Feb 27, 1 PM
    Blinds:40 Minutes
    Starting Stack:30k
    Late Entry:9 Levels (~8:15 PM)
Day 1 Ends:12.5% of the Field

The first multi-day game of the season kicks off at 1 PM on Friday, Feb 27. Players in Event #3 get 30k in chips for their $670, with Day 1a action running Friday, and Day 1b running as a bigger redo of 1a on Saturday.

Blinds for the full event will be 40 minutes, and players have 9 levels to buy in or rebuy during Day 1 play. That should mean the entry desk closes at about 8:15 PM for both starting days.

Day 1 plays as long as needed to get the starting field down to 12.5% of its original total after entries close, with the remaining players bagging up for money play on Sunday’s Day 2. All players returtning for Day 2 on Sunday are guaranteed at least a min-cash, and this is a “best stack forward” event, meaning players can bag a stack in Day 1a, then try to bag bigger in 1b.

If they bag both days, the bigger bag will play on Day 2, with the smaller bag scoring an immediate min-cash. In recent series, multiple players have managed a couple of scores in these sorts of PPT events, including local clothing supplier Kris Steinbach.

I may not make the opening levels of this one, but I’ll be kicking off my 2026 PPT reporting with this game on Friday, after Alek Gillies covered the opening day’s action. Alek will be popping in throughout the series to help out with some late events.

  • Truong Wins Blind V Blind; Makonen Silences the Chatters

    Level:13 (1500/3000/3000)
    Entries:20/111

  • Siginc Leads Day 1b

    Level:16 (3000/6000/6000)
    Entries:18/144 (38/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:1:10 AM

Day 1b is complete with 18 bags. Mehmet Siginc has the biggest bag at the end of 1b, and he will also be the Day 2 leader to start tomorrow’s action. He bagged 653k, 150k more than the 1a leader Brad Bishop (Bishop is currently at the final table of Event #5 as well).

David Cox, who won the PLO Deepstack Hyper last night, is the second 1b stack with 436, and Jeff Forester, Holly Berry, and Heechan Kang round out the top five.

  • End of Night Bubble

    Level:16 (3000/6000/6000)
    Entries:19/144 (39/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:12:35 AM

Level 15 has just ended, and in the final hand, Nathan Tang sent Nu Teliani home on the soft bubble. She was all in with a short stack and an ace, but ran into jacks for Tang and couldn’t get there. That means they’ll be at 19 when they return from the break for Level 16, and the next elimination will bring out the bags.

  • 2 Off the Bags

    Level:15 (2500/5000/5000)
    Entries:20/144 (40/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:12:15 AM

About 15 minutes remain in Level 15, and the field is now at 20 players left, 2 off the bags to end the night. It now looks like a bit of a race to end, and it’s an open question whether they’ll go farther than Level 15 tonight, but either way, tomorrow’s Day 2 will start in Level 15 with blinds of 2.5k/5k/5k.

  • 5 Off the Bags to Start Level 15

    Level:15 (25000/5000/5000)
    Entries:23/144 (43/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:11:50 PM

Level 15 has just begun for Day 1b, with the field now at 23 players remaining. That leaves them 5 players off the bags, and it seems like a decent bet they’ll get there sometime in this level, though the average stack is more than 30 bigs right now.

  • 6 Off the Bags

    Level:14 (2000/4000/4000)
    Entries:24/144 (44/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:11:35 PM

The 1b field is nearing the end of the night with 24 players still alive. That puts them 6 off the bags with 15 minutes to play in Levcel 4, so Level 15 still looks like a decent bet for the end of the evening.

  • Final Three Tables

    Level:14 (2000/4000/4000)
    Entries:27/144 (47/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:11:15 PM

Day 1a is now down to 27 players on the final three tables. That leaves them 9 players off the end of the night, so bags in Level 15 is looking increasingly likely.

  • 12 Off the Bags

    Level:13 (1500/2500/2500)
    Entries:30/144 (50/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:10:55 PM

The 1b field is now down to 20 players left, with 18 bags expected at the end of the night. About 15 minutes remain in Level 13, so it looks like this could end in Level 15 tonight.

  • $32k For the Winner

    Level:13 (1500/3000/3000)
    Entries:34/144 (54/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:10:30 PM

The Day 2 prizes are in, and 32 players will get paid on Sunday. The winner is set to pocket $32,385 and will almost certainly take the Player of the Series lead, as 216 points are up for grabs for the winner. Local Time:10:15 PM

The 1b field is down to 28 players left now, 20 eliminations away from the end of the night. Today’s action seems a bit slower than 1a at this point, so tonight’s action may extend into Level 16. They are just about to head out for the break, and I’ll have a look around for some more big stacks.

The 1b field has just broken down to the final 5 tables with 44 players left. They are now 26 eliminations away from the bags.

  • Down to 50 Left

    Level:11 (1000/2000/2000)
    Entries:50/144 (70/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)
    Local Time:9:20 PM

The 1b field is down to 50 players left, with about 10 minutes left in Level 11. I’ll do another chip check at the next break following Level 12, but the field will likely still be too big for me to do a full count.

The game today should be playing down to 18 bags, so they are still 32 eliminations away from the end of Day 1b.

  • Forester Leads with Entries Closed

    Level:10 (1000/1500/1500)
    Entries:60/144 (80/255 combined)
    Prizes:$82,080 (Combined: $145,350)

    Entries:68/88 (88/199 combined)

Just over 30 minutes remain in Level 5, and the 1b field is at 88. That puts the 1b prizes over $50k and the combined prizes a couple of entries shy of $115k. Ryan Smith, Jimmy Lee, and Stephen Dauphinais are among the familiar faces I spotted in the field recently.

  • St. Pierre-Porter Leads Early

    Level:4 (200/400/400)
    Entries:67/78 (87/189 combined)
    Prizes:$44,460 (Combined: $107,730)

  • Francis Fan Leading Player of the Series after Three Events

    Level:2 (100/200/200)

“Don’t raise my big blind again,” he said with a smile, showing six-deuce to the table as he took the pot.

As he swallowed the final swig, he announced, “All in”.

Siginc called, and on the 4 river, St. Pierre-Porter check-called for 100k, but his king-three was no good against the pocket aces for Siginc.

Heechan Kang opened early to 25k on the final hand of Level 19. Mehmet Siginc called from the hijack, as did Jeff Forester from the big blind.

The flop was 7J5, and Forester checked to Kang, who fired 50k. Siginc got out of the way, but Firester stuck around for the A turn.

Forester check-called again, this time for 125k. On the 3 river, Forester checked again, but then mucked when Kang fired a sized-down 90k river bet.

  • Duong Races to Double

    Level:19 (6000/12000/12000)
    Entries:17/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:4:15 PM

Edward Sorenson opened from the cutoff to 30k before Lap Chi Duong shoved the button for 155k. Sorensen called it off for the most classic of flips — ace-king for Duong into queens for Sorensen.

Duong spiked a king on the flop, but he was still worried about the queen coming through the river on a board of 35K84. Duong is vlogging his game today on his Instagram page.

  • Final Two Tables

    Level:19 (6000/12000/12000)
    Entries:187/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:3:55 PM

They are down to the final two tables now after Nathan Tang hit the rail for 19th place. DJ Sharma followed him to the rail immediately after they got to the final two tables to put the game at 17 left.

There are about 30 minutes to play in Level 19, with about 70 minutes remaining until the next break.

  • Bishop Chips Up on Turn

    Level:18 (5000/10000/10000)
    Entries:19/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:3:50 PM

Cam Stewart opened under the gun to 20k, and Nathan Tang called from the cutoff, as did Brad Bishop from the big blind. They all checked the 6JQ flop, but when Bishop led for 20k on the 10 turn, Stewart and Tang folded to send the pot to Bishop.

  • St. Pierre-Porter Doubles through Forester

    Level:18 (5000/10000/10000)
    Entries:19/255
    Prizes:$145,350

  • Sharma Takes it on Turn

    Level:18 (5000/10000/10000)
    Entries:20/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:3:30 PM

The J34 flop was already out, and DJ Sharma was facing a bet of 30k from Edward Sorensen. Sharma made the call to the 7 turn, where Sorensen fired 50k.

Sharma pumped it up to 205k with a shove, and after a couple of minutes in the tank, Sorensen mucked his hand to send the pot to Sharma.

  • Siginc Leads Final 21

    Level:18 (5000/10000/10000)
    Entries:21/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:3:10 PM

    Entries:26/255
    Prizes:$145,350
    Local Time:1:40 PM

The Day 2 field is down to 26 left now after Murray Duval was the first to exit the final three tables. After working some math on the payouts for today, it looks like a certainty that whoever wins this event will take the current lead in the Player of the Series race.

There are 216 points up top for first, with Francis Fan currently leading the way with 122 points. In fact, it looks like the top three in PoS will come from today’s field, as second place will get 180, and third should get 144.

  • Mehmet Siginc Leads Day 2

    Date:Mar 1, 1 PM
    Blinds:40 Minutes
