2026 Summer Super Stack – Event #15: $340 PLO Bounty

Peter Darlington ran over this final table. He hit quads twice on his way to the win tonight, and by the time he got heads up against Kurtis Ruhl, he had a massive chip advantage after knocking out the previous four players.

Heads up was just a few hands before Ruhl got his fumes in with queens with a suit, but Darlington was unstoppable tonight. His six-four-four-three hit two pair on the A♠5♠3♠J♥6♣ runout

Kevin White was short, with most of his previous chip-leading stack now in front of Peter Darlington.In the final hand, it all went in on the flop after limped preflop action. White potted the K♠4♣8♣ flop, then called off his stack when Darlington repotted. Darlington flopped a set of fours with 9♠4♠4♦3♠ against 9♦9♣4♥3♣ for White.

A♠5♦ on the runout didn’t help White, and he was out in 3rd place.

They are down to 3 remaining now after Robin Luo ended his night in 4th place. I missed the action but he was the short stack of the final four.

Peter Darlington keeps hitting quads against Kevin White. He just took another pot off White with quads, this time with tens. That left White short, but he doubled in the next hand when his bottom end of a king-high straight held against teo pair for Darlington.

Robin Luo limped the button before Kevin White made it 50k to go from the small blind. Peter Darlington called from the big, and Luo mucked. The flop came 6♦9♦Q♣ and White potted to 140k, Darlington repotted, White shoved, and Darlington called it off with less.

White was on aces with a king-eight against nines with an eight-six for Darlington. Darlington called for the dealer to “quad me up” and the dealer answered with a nine on the turn when the board ran out 9♣2♣. He had 414k before the double, and that cut into White’s stack to drop him to about 400k.

The field is down to 5 remaining after Brayden Brown ended his day in 6th place.

I’ve been cleaning up the final posts for the Main Event & Megastack games, so I haven’t had a chance to watch much of the final action. They are down to 6 remaining now – see below for a look at the payouts so far.

The prizes are in, and the field is confirmed at 101 entries. That means 10 players will get a share of $18,685 from the payouts, with $10,100 in total bounties in the field tonight.

Event #15: $340 PLO Bounty ($200 + $100 + $40)

The Friday night side game, playing out alongside Day 1a of the Main Event, is the PLO Bounty. $100 of the $340 goes to the bounty, with $200 going to payouts, with $40 as the reg fee.

The action starts at 7 PM, and players get 25k to start. Entries are open for 9 levels, which will put the final chance to buy in at about 10:30 PM. After that, it will be a race to the winner before the end of the night.

Given the late start, this could be a late finish. With blinds at 20 minutes, it should be a bit of a turbo, and the PLO Bounty format does tend to drive action, so it may run quickly, but players should expect at least a 3 AM finish, if not later.

Last Summer, Mike Malm took down this game over 110 entries for prizes of $31,350 ($20,350 prizes, $11,000 bounties). Meanwhile, this past Spring it was Haven Taylor with all the chips at the end, after she went through the field of 126 entries for the biggest share of $35,910 ($23,310 prizes, $12,600 bounties) in prizes.
