The Final Table
At the opening of the final table, Arthur Morris was leading the pack with 43 big blinds in front of Robbie Schiffbauer, who was in second place with 29 big blinds. Tony Harrison was the shortest stack with 12 big blinds.
Under the pressure of big blind and ante, Sean Cronin was all-in before he even got his cards. Chang raised from MP, and Morris called. Both players checked it to the showdown, and the board was 4♠7♥8♥6♠J♠, and Morris took down the pot holding [invalid notations], which wasn’t enough, and he was eliminated in ninth place for $22,314.
Sean Cronin
Arthur Morris opened from MP, and Yudai Futai called in the BB, putting himself at risk as he was covered by Morris. Futai turned Q♠3♣ and was against Morris’s A♦7♠. The board ran 9♦6♦K♠9♥10♦, and none of the players hit, but Morris’s ace-high was enough to send Futai to the rail in eighth place for $28,635.
Yudai Futai
Tony Harrison opened in EP, Abhishek Mhatre in the SB shoved, and Harrison snap-called. Mahtre was at risk, and his A♦K♥ was dominated by K♠K♠ of Harrison. The dealer put down J♣8♥9♠5♣8♦, and there were no aces on sight for Mhatre, eliminating him in seventh place for $37,064.
Abhishek Mhatre
Edwin Chang shoved from BTN and got snap-called by Arthur Morris in BB. Chang was in a bad spot against A♣Q♦ but still had some outs with his J♥9♠. The runout was K♥5♠3♥8♦4♥, and once against ace-high, it was enough to eliminate Edwin Chang in sixth place for $48,387.
Edwin Chang
Ben Fan was all-in and called by Robbie Schiffbauer, and cards were turned face up quickly. Fan showed 3♥3♠ and Schiffbauer showed A♥A♠. Things were not looking good for Fan, and the board Q♦K♦2♦7♦5♥ didn’t change much except both players were checking if they had a diamond, but they didn’t, and Ben Fan was eliminated in fifth place for $63,706.
Ben Fan
Robbie Schiffbauer shoved from the SB and was called by Arthur Morris in BB. Morris had A♦5♦ and was against Schiffbauer’s 2♠2♣. The board ran 4♥A♠6♥2♦7♥, which looked good for Morris on the flop, but Schiffbauer got lucky to catch the duce on the turn, and there were no threes on the river to save Morris, and he was eliminated in fourth place, for $84,584.
Arthur Morris
Harrison opened from BTN, Schiffbauer shoved from SB, and Harrison made a quick call. Schiffbauer had 6♠6♥ and was dominated by Harrison’s Q♦Q♥. The dealer rolled 3♠J♥K♣3♣J♦, and pocket queens of Harrison held to eliminate Robbie Schiffbauer in third place for $113,244.
Robbie Schiffbauer
The Heads-Up
At the beginning of the heads-up battle, both players had similar stacks, with Craig Savage slightly ahead in chips. But the stack size didn’t matter that much when the last hand was played. Harrison opened from BTN, Savage 3-bet, and Harrison didn’t waste any time to put all the chips in the middle, so he shoved and got snap-called. Savage showed Q♦Q♣, and Harrison had A♣K♦, a classic flip to close the deal. The board ran Q♥6♣7♦5♠8♣, Savage hit top set on the flop, and only Miracle could keep Harrison in the game, but a miracle didn’t happen, and he was eliminated in second place for $152,874.
