It’s been a long time coming for high-stakes crusher Seth Davies, but the poker world can finally stop calling him “the best without a bracelet.” He’s officially crossed that off the to-do list—and did it in style—by bagging a career-best $4,752,551 and his first WSOP bracelet in Event #46: $250,000 Super High Roller.
The six-figure buy-in attracted 63 elite entries, stacking the prize pool to a monstrous $15,584,625. It took three days at Horseshoe & Paris, Las Vegas to sort out the champion, and when the dust settled, Davies emerged victorious after a blink-and-you-miss-it heads-up match with fellow high roller Alex Foxen.
After Davies’ dream-turning-jack in the first hand of heads-up flipped the script, he barely gave Foxen time to react. Just two hands in, it was all over. On the second hand, Davies’ pocket aces held firm after Foxen made two pair, only for the river to cruelly counterfeit him. Game, set, and bracelet.
Alex Foxen 2025 WSOP $250k
Foxen collected a solid $3,060,314 for second, but the moment—and the gold—belonged to Davies.

“Shark Season”: Davies Finally Gets His Gold
Just after @Sdavies22 won his first WSOP bracelet, we grabbed a moment with the $250K Super High Roller winner to get his immediate thoughts after such a monumental moment.#WSOP2025pic.twitter.com/91Ju5IOUiX
— WSOP – World Series of Poker (@WSOP) June 18, 2025
For Davies, this was a moment nearly two decades in the making. “I remember watching poker on TV back in 2003, 2004, and thinking it’d be so cool to win one of those bracelets,” he told PokerNews after the win. That dream finally became a reality in one of the most stacked fields of the summer.
Fittingly, Davies’ run to the bracelet came dressed in symbolism. His longtime friend Jason Koon gifted him a denim shark jacket from Burberry before Day 1—a nickname nod and maybe a little good luck charm. “Shark” couldn’t wear it at the final table (too hot under the lights), but the vibes stuck. Call it superstition or just clean poker—either way, it worked.
Davies, who recently won his first Triton title as well, now has his name etched in WSOP history. “I’ve kind of come full circle with mindset stuff. I feel more satisfied now—even before the win.”
Chaos, Coolers, and Controversy
The final day didn’t lack drama—both on and off the felt.
Martin Kabrhel, never far from theatrics, caused a stir demanding extra timebanks before cards were even in the air. After a back-and-forth with WSOP VP Jack Effel, the answer was “nope,” and the action rolled on.
Martin Kabrhel
Kabrhel survived one cooler with a miracle board runout vs Bryn Kenney’s aces, but couldn’t dodge Brewer’s bullets next hand. He exited with flair and applause.
From there, it was a cold-deck massacre. Tollerene’s kings vs Foxen’s aces? Done. Peters’ suited king into Foxen’s ace? Also done. Brewer flops top pair, then walks into Foxen’s full house on the river. Kenney’s ace-queen runs into Davies’ pocket kings. If it felt like Davies and Foxen were on a collision course from the start—it’s because they were.
The Final Blow
By the time it got to three-handed play, Davies was locked in. He ground down Thomas Boivin, who eventually shoved with suited Broadway. Foxen found yet another ace to send Boivin to the rail for his second straight 3rd-place finish in a high roller.
Then it was Davies vs Foxen, and we barely had time to settle in.
Seth Davies Alex Foxen Heads-Up $250k
“I was like, well, it’s probably not going to go my way today,” Davies joked after he was all-in and behind in the first hand of heads-up—before that jack on the flop saved him. After the second hand, it was over. One of if not the fastest heads-up of the series thus far.
What’s Next for Davies?
That’s anyone’s guess. With the bracelet monkey off his back and a couple of million added to his resume, Seth Davies is now officially a name you have to include when listing the best of the best. And don’t be surprised if this is the start of a bracelet spree.
From denim sharks to seven-figure stacks, Davies has officially arrived—and this time, he’s wearing gold.
