Shiina Okamoto is the new champion of World Series of Poker Event #70: $1,000 Ladies Championship for $184,094. The event brought 1,368 entries, which generated a prize pool of $1,203,840, with $184,094 on top for the champion.
Shiina dominated the final table with multiple knockouts, and she finished the deal in the heads-up battle against Heather Alcorn, where she came as an 11:1 chip leader. Heather Alcorn came in second place for $122,654.
This was Okamoto’s most significant score of her live tournament career, raising her all-time earnings over one million dollars. This was also her second WSOP bracelet win. The first bracelet came after she won the 2024 WSOP $1,000 No Limit Hold’em LADIES Championship for $171,732.
