Andjelko Andrejevic wins his first World Series of Poker bracelet in Event #62: $5,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. Andrejevic had to beat the field of 1,168 entries, which generated a prize pool of $855,515.
Andrejevic had to beat Adrien Delmas from France in the heads-up battle to secure the top prize and his first WSOP bracelet. Delmas finished in second place, pocketing a handy $570,284.
“It’s something that every poker player dreams of. It’s a breath of fresh air to finally be here. I came in as the short stack and was just trying to hang on, but I won a couple of lucky all-ins. Three-handed, I turned up the aggression and made some hands. Heads-up was one hand, so it was great!” said Andrejevic for PokerNews

The Final Table
Coming to the final table, chip counts were pretty balanced, and all players had decent stacks, with the shortest stack being Adrien Delmas, who had 33 big blinds, but Matthew Zambanini was an anomaly, towering over other players’ stack sizes with 95 big blinds.
Marius Gierse was left with the short stack, and he decided to push all of his chips in the middle from the SB. He was quickly called by Zambanini in BB. Zambanini was ahead with A♣9♦ against Gierse, who had K♣6♦. The board rolled A♦Q♠5♣6♣10♥, and Zambanini spiked an ace on the flop, which held and eliminated Gierse in sixth place for $148,548. That was the end of Day 3, and the action continued on Day 4, with five remaining players.

Brandon Sheils opened from BTN, Niall Farrell went all-in from BB, and Sheils snap-called. Niall Farrell had A♥2♥ and was dominated against Sheil’s A♠K♣. The board came 5♥10♥2♦6♦6♥, and Farrell managed to pull out three hearts from the deck to hit the flush on the river and eliminated Sheils in fifth place for $203,292.

The hand was open-limped, and Matthew Zambanini decided to pull the trigger from the BB and went all-in. Andrejevic was the only caller from SB having Q♥4♣ against Zambanini’s 9♦5♣. The dealer put down 5♦4♦4♥J♣2♥, giving trips to Andrejevic and leaving Zambanini drawing to three outs which, didn’t come. Zambanini was eliminated in fourth place for $282,471.

Niall Farrell went all-in from the SB and got called by Adrien Delmas in BB. Farrell had J♣5♦, which was behind Delmas’s A♣3♠. The board came K♣4♦K♠4♣10♣, and Delmas’s ace-high (two pair, ace kicker) was enough to send Farrell home in third place with $398,409.

At the beginning of the heads-up stacks, sizes were pretty close, but Andrejevic had a lead, and the game was on. But it didn’t last long as Adrien Delmas open-limped from BTN, Andrejevic raised from BB, Delmas went all-in, and Andrejevic asked for a count, tanked for two minutes, but eventually called. Andrejevic turned 7♠7♥ and was in a superior spot against Delmas, who had 5♠5♥. The dealer rolled K♥6♥3♠10♥3♥, giving both players the flush, but Andrejevic had the better one, and Delmas was eliminated in second place for $570,284.
