The Final Table

At the start of the final table, Moshe Gavrieli was coming as the chip leader with 46 big bets, and Scott Bohlman was right behind him with 38 big bets. Andrew Bradshaw was proud to own the shortest stack of six big bets.

Andrew Bradshaw opened in EP, and Moshe Gavrieli called BB. The flop came J23, Bradshaw bet, Gavrieli raised, Bradshaw shoved, and Gavrieli called. Andrew Bradshaw was behind with Q10 against Gavrieli’s A9, and the turn came 7 followed by 6 on the river. Ace high was enough for Gavieli to eliminate Andrew Bradshaw in seventh place for $21,258.

Kerry Welsh opened from the HJ, Ian Pelz 3-bet from the SB, and Welsh called with just under one big bet behind. The flop came 8K5, and both players checked. The turn came Q, Pelz checked, Welsh put his last bet in, and Pelz called. When cards turned, Welsh was drawing dead with 77, and Pelz had 88 flopping set of eights. The river was 8, improving Pelz to quads and eliminating Kerry Welsh in sixth place for $28,893.

Simeon Tsonev shoved from UTG, Ian Pelz called in the SB, and Moshe Gavrieli called in the BB.

The flop came J9J, Pelz went for the lead, and Gavrieli called. Pelz led again on the 6, and Gavrieli folded. Tsonev was at risk with A8 against Pelz, who flopped trips holding J6, and Tsonev was drawing dead just like the last victim of Pelz. The river came 2, and Tsonev was out in fifth place for $40,374.

Moshe Gavrieli opened from UTG, Nicholas Tsoukalas 3-bet from the SB, Gavrieli went for 4-bet, and Tsoukalas called. The flop came JQ3, Tsoukalas led, Gavrieli raised, Tsoukalas 3-bet and Gavrieli called. The turn was A, and Tsoukalas shoved, just to get snap-called by Gavrieli. Tsoukalas had Q10 and was against AA of Gavrieli, which turned a set of aces, and Tsoukalas was left to just four outs. The river came 4, and that was the end of the road for Tsoukalas, who finished in fourth place for $57,963.

Pelz had 104 vs Bohlman’s 52 vs Gavrieli’s J6, and Pelz was eliminated by Gavrieli who hit pair of jacks. Ian Pelz earned $85,431 for his third-place finish.

The Heads-Up

Moshe Gavrieli opened from BTN, and Scott Bohlman called in BB. The dealer rolled 23J, Bohlman checked, Gavrieli bet and Bohlman raised. Gavrieli then 3-bet, and Bohlman called for his last chips. Bohlman turned QJ and was ahead of Gavrieli’s J5. The turn came A, giving the lead to Gavrieli, who now needed to dodge the club on the river. The river came 8, and that was it for Bohlman, who was out in second place for $129,183.
