Sunday at the 2025 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas was another busy day for Canadian players, with some serious stacking going down across several key events. Daniel Negreanu and Greg Mueller both locked in massive chip bags in the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw, Sebastien Crema climbed high in the $800 NLH Deepstack, and Ari Engel showed off his mixed-game skills with two cashes on the day.
Negreanu and Mueller Headline Event #30: $10,000 NL 2-7
Daniel Negreanu continued his hunt for bracelet #7 with a monster day, finishing Day 2 in third place with a hefty 1.62 million chips. Longtime mixed-game specialist Greg Mueller isn’t far behind, sitting 5th with just over a million chips (1,070,000).
Only 16 remain as the stacked field will play down to a winner tomorrow. Negreanu is looking for his first bracelet of the summer as he has already fell one short early in the series.
Sebastien Crema also made a strong statement in Event #31, the $800 No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack, ending Day 1 in 10th place with a monster stack of 1.72 million chips. There is still plenty of play left as 258 players of the field return from the 4,481 total entries.
