The Final Table
At the start of the final table, nine players were in the game for the gold, and Bruno Furth was a big chip leader with 95 big blinds ahead of Philip Sternheimer and Christopher Vitch, who both had 53 big blinds. Magnus Edengren was right behind them with 52 big blinds, and Edward Jackson Spivack was the shortest stack with five big blinds.
The first elimination came when Bruno Furth opened from CO and Edward Jackson Spivack called in BB. The flop came K♠J♠7♠, Furth bet to put Spivack all-in and Spivack called. Furth had 9♠8♦5♠4♦ and was against 4♣3♣3♠2♦, and the turn came K♣, and the river 10♣ was deadly for Spivack, giving straight to Furth and eliminating Spivack in ninth place for $54,657.

Dennis Weiss opened from MP, Philip Sternheimer raised from BTN, putting Weiss all-in, and Weiss called. Weiss had K♣Q♦J♣8♣ against A♠K♥6♦5♠ of Sternheimer. The board ran 9♦6♥5♥2♣9♥, giving two pairs to Sternheimer and sending Weiss home in eighth place for $70,639.
Dennis Weiss
Philip Sternheimer open limped from UTG, Sam Soverel raised from HJ, Sternheimer re-raised to put Soverel all in, and Soverel called. Sam Soverel was behind with A♦K♣Q♦3♣ against Sternheimer’s A♠A♥8♣7♦ and the board ran 9♦10♥Q♥6♦6♦ and “pocket aces” were enough to send Soverel to the rail in seventh place for $93,273.
Sam Soverel
The eliminations continued when Shaun Deeb opened from UTG, Magnus Edengren shoved his last chips from the BTN, and Deeb called. Deeb had the edge with A♥Q♥9♦5♦ against K♥Q♣6♦4♣ of Edengren. The board A♣K♦Q♠9♣Q♦ extended Deeb’s lead on the flop, and there was no help for Edengren on turn or river, so he was out in sixth place for $125,772.
Magnus Edengren
Christopher Vitch was next to the exit door after Brian Hastings opened from HJ, Vitch called in CO, Furth squeezed from SB, Hastings folded, and Vitch 4-bet shoved, just to get called and sweat for his tournament life. Vitch had A♥J♥J♣5♠ vs Furth’s [invalid notations] with Furth hitting the gutshot on the turn and eliminating Vitch in fifth place for $173,121.
Christopher Vitch
After cooking the trouble for Vitch, Brian Hastings ended up in trouble himself after raising war with Furth, and all the chips were in the middle. Brian Hastings had A♦Q♥10♠3♥ vs Furth’s A♣9♦8♥2♥, and the dealer flipped Q♠9♥2♠2♦9♣ giving Furth the full house and eliminating Hastings in fourth place for $243,144.
Brian Hastings
Bruno Furth raised from SB and Shaun Deeb called in BB. The flop rolled 9♥5♣4♦, and Furth put Deeb all-in, and Deeb called. Deeb turned Q♠9♦4♣2♣ and Furth had J♠10♠9♠3♦. The turn was J♦ changing the lead to Furth, and the river came 2♥ to eliminate Deeb in third place for $348,304.

The Heads-Up
Day 3 was closed before the heads-up battle, and players had time to rest before the final clash. Coming into the heads-up, Sternheimer had the chip lead with around 3:2 over Furth.
It took close to two hours before we got the champion, and it happened when Sternheimer opened from BTN and Furth called in BB. The Flop came 2♥9♦Q♥, Sternheimer bet big, and Furth shoved just to get snap-called. Cards turned, and Furth had K♦J♥5♣3♥ against Sternheimer’s Q♦Q♠J♦9♠, leaving Furth at risk of needing to hit on the turn or river to keep the game rolling. The turn came 4♠, giving even more outs to Furth, but the river 2♠ paired the river, and the new champion was crowned. And Furth was eliminated in second place for $508,705.
