After four days of action, Samuel Rosborough triumphed in the World Series of Poker Event #52: $1,500 Freezeout, winning his first WSOP bracelet and $410,426.
Rosborough had to beat the field of 2,320 entries, which generated a prize pool of $3,077,145. Rosborough’s final obstacle was Asher Conniff, who came in second place after losing the heads-up battle against Rosborough. The event was held at Horshoe Paris Casino, Las Vegas.
What is interesting is that this win was seven times bigger than Rosborough’s previous earnings, as he recorded cashes in only seven live events, earning a total of $58,716.

The Final Table
The final table started on Day 3 of the event, and Samuel Rosborough led the pack with a dominant chip lead of 81 big blinds, ahead of second-placed Michael Rossitto, who had 62 big blinds. The average for the rest of the table was around 20 big blinds.
The title of first eliminated player at the final table was won by Julio Belluscio, who opened and called 3-bet (which put him all-in) from Rossitto, who was in BB. Belluscio was ahead with 9♦9♣ against A♥7♦ of Rossitto and the board ran K♦Q♦J♥10♥J♠ ending the road for Belluscio who didn’t manage to hit the ace on the river to get the split and was eliminated in ninth place for $38,047.
Julio Belluscio
Bryan Piccioli opened from BTN, and Charlie Cuff and Michael Rossitto called SB and BB. The flop came 6♥9♦8♠, Chuff checked, Rossitto bet and both players called.
The turn was 9♥, Cuff checked again, and Rossitto bet again; this time, Piccioli folded and Cuff raised. Rossitto called. The river was 7♦, Cuff lead shoved, and Rossitto called to inform Cuff that he was eliminated on the river when Rossitto hit the straight over Cuff’s trips. Cuff won $48,892 for his eighth-place finish.
Charlie Cuff
Carlos Kinil shoved all of his remaining chips in the middle from the bTN, and Rossitto just called SB. Carlos Kinil had domination, holding A♠7♠ over Rossitto’s A♦4♥ until Rossitto hit runner-runner flush on J♥K♥Q♦7♥10♥ and eliminated Kinil in seventh place for $63,494.
Carlos Kinil
Rosborough opened from UTG, and Bryan Piccioli shoved just to get snap-called by Rosborough, who had him covered and was threatening with elimination. Rosborough had monster K♣K♠, and Piccioli was in bad shape with 7♣7♦. The board J♣6♣Q♣ extended Rosborough’s lead even further, and K♥ on the turn marked the end of the tournament for Piccioli as he was drawing dead, and the 2♦ on the river was irrelevant. Piccioli finished in sixth place for $83,318.
Bryan Piccioli
Everybody folded, and Rossitto was to act in SB, and he shoved on Eric Berman in BB, who called. Rossitto was ahead with A♦10♥ vs Berman’s A♥7♣. The dealer put down J♠K♠8♠4♦5♥, and ace high with ten kicker was enough to send Berman to the rail in fifth place with $110,463 in his pockets.
Eric Berman
Tanupat Punjarojanakul was all-in from SB, and again, Rossitto called in BB. Tanupat Punjarojanakul was slightly ahead with K♠4♠, but Rossitto still had decent equity with Q♦8♥.
The board came 9♠J♥3♠10♠9♥; Rossitto managed to hit the straight on the turn and dodge the spade on the river to eliminate Tanupat Punjarojanakul in fourth place for $147,952.

And that was it for Day 3. Three players remained in the battle for the WSOP bracelet and the top prize of $410,426, but the action was extended to Day 4 of the event.
Coming into Day 4, all three players had similar stack sizes, and there were no firm favorites for the title, but the action started fast.
Rossitto opened from SB, Rosborough shoved, and Rossitto called, risking the elimination as he was covered. Rossitto turned A♥K♥ and was flipping against 2♣2♠ of Rosborough. The board came Q♦5♠Q♠6♣7♠, and there were no aces or kings on sight for Rossitto, who was out in third place for $200,173.

The Heads-Up
After eliminating Rossitto, Rosborough doubled his stack and was 2:1 chip leader against Conniff going into the heads-up battle.
The battle didn’t last too long as after around one hour of play, Rosborough shoved from BTN, and Asher Conniff, who was short-stacked, called. Asher Conniff had A♥Q♥, but Rosborough still had two live cards 8♦6♠ to win it all.
The board came 7♦J♦2♥K♦6♦, bringing Rosborough the title and eliminating Asher Conniff in second place for $273,545.
