2025 WSOP: Dan Heimiller Pockets $106,840 After Winning 3rd Bracelet in Event #6: $1,500 Seven Card Stud

Dan Heimiller, Winner of E6 2025 WSOP

Dan Heimiller is one of the veterans of the WSOP battle. Coming into Event #6: $1,500 Seven Card Stud, he’d booked at least one cash in every WSOP series since 1997, including dozens of final table appearances and two bracelets prior to his latest success. He’s now added another cash, final table, and bracelet to his growing total.

His 3rd bracelet came after outlasting 377 runners in the seven-card game. There was just over $500k to play for, with Heimiller’s winning share at $106,840.

Heimiller had a tough run in the endgame, facing down heads up against another WSOP veteran and mixed game wizard, David Bach. Bach knows his seven-card poker as well as anyone in the world — he had two bracelets coming into the event, both in mixed rotations that include three varieties of seven-card poker. While he hasn’t scored a win in a pure stud variant yet, with all the rest of his wins coming in HORSE events, it’s clear Bach can play with seven cards.

Heimiller admitted after the game that Bach scared him. “It looked like he was coming back for a while, so it was a little scary.” The source of that scare was three quick doubles from Bach when Heimiller was on the precipice of his win. Heimiller was up nearly 20:1 before the comeback gave his opponent a fighting chance, but spiking the best two pair on a huge seventh street in the final hand gave Heimiller the win.
