Michael Mizrachi isn’t just back—he’s back on top.
Already tied with Brian Rast for the most wins in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship, Mizrachi smashed that tie to bits on Saturday night in Las Vegas, capturing his fourth PPC title and putting himself in a class entirely of his own. The win—worth $1,331,322—came in trademark Mizrachi fashion: relentless, fearless, and dominant.
He knocked out five of the last seven players en route to hoisting the Chip Reese Memorial Trophy again, and if anyone had forgotten why “The Grinder” is one of the best mixed-game players of all time, this was the reminder. Loud and clear.

A Clinic from the Start
Mizrachi came into the final day of the PPC already near the top of the leaderboard, and by the end of the first level, he had eliminated four players. First it was Ben Lamb on the very first hand. Then came Albert Daher and Joao Vieira, both run over in classic Grinder fashion—aggression, reads, and some ridiculous timing (including a four-high bluff into Vieira’s top pair).
By the time he sent Andrew Yeh packing in Pot-Limit Omaha, Mizrachi was holding more than half the chips in play, and the only thing standing between him and history was Bryn Kenney and Esther Taylor.
Taylor made her own mark by finishing third—the deepest PPC run by any woman in WSOP history, surpassing Melissa Burr’s 7th-place showing back in 2014—but her shot at heads-up was denied when Kenney made a wheel in 2-7 Single Draw to crack her pat nine.
That set up a one-sided heads-up battle. Mizrachi had a 15:1 chip lead over the all-time money leader, and the outcome felt inevitable. It didn’t take long before the chips—and the history—were his.
Legacy Locked In
With this win, Mizrachi now has seven bracelets and the only four-time PPC record. The list of legends to have even two titles in this event is tiny. The list with four? Just him.
“This might be the best I’ve played out of any of them,” Mizrachi told PokerNews after the win. “Everything just went my way, and I never really got short. I was always at the top, and I probably played my best overall.”
Hall of Fame chants echoed from the rail, and it’s hard to argue he doesn’t belong. Rast got inducted after title number three. Now Mizrachi has four.
“Brian, I’ve got one more. You’ve got to catch up now,” Mizrachi joked. “I’m going for number five!”
And honestly? Don’t bet against him.
