Selinger Leads Final 24 as Record-Breaking Main Event Reaches Day 3 at WSOP Circuit Tallinn

A total of 147 players started Day 2 of the record-breaking €1,500 Main Event at the 2026 WSOP Circuit Tallinn on Friday, and by the time the felt went quiet, only three tables’ worth of players remained standing in the hunt for the coveted Circuit ring, a €210,000 first-place prize, and a WSOP Paradise Bahamas package.

Selinger Bags Chip Lead as Field Narrows to 24

Twenty-four players remain from the 147 who started Day 2, and all of them are eyeing the biggest slice of a €1,253,002 prize pool, the product of a record-breaking 977 entries that crushed the tournament’s 1 million € guarantee.

Germany’s Julian Selinger bagged up the biggest stack of the night with 5,170,000, good for 129 big blinds, and takes the overall chip lead into Day 3. Spain’s David Santalla Marfil isn’t far behind in second with 4,435,000 (110 big blinds), while the Netherlands’ Roy Van Der Reijnst rounds out the top three with 3,765,000 (75 big blinds). Estonia’s home country hopes might lie on Kristjan-Jaan Kosk, who sits fourth with 3,055,000, good for 61 big blinds.

Guillermo “GGordo” Gordo ended up as Day 2’s bubble boy. On the Button, he open-shoved 610,000 holding J♠10♠, and Julian Selinger made the call from the Big Blind with A♠9♥. The K♥7♥A♦4♥4♣ board favored Selinger, giving him two pair, and Gordo couldn’t hit his gutshot straight draw. He was eliminated in 25th place, and the remaining 24 players bagged up their chips, all having secured their spot on Day 3.

Finland’s Rasmus Lundström came into Day 2 as the overall chip leader, but he’ll have plenty of work to do on Day 3, sitting 21st in the counts with just 14 big blinds to his name. The Finn was in for a bumpy ride on Friday.

The damage came at the hands of Feras Abid. Lundström opened to 50,000 under the gun, and Abid called from the Big Blind before check-calling his way through an 8♥3♣10♣ flop and a [invalid notations] river, Lundström fired 400,000, effectively shoving for Abid’s remaining 375,000, and after a long tank, Abid made the call. Lundström’s 5♠4♠ bluff didn’t go through with Abid’s 8♣7♦, and the Finn was left crippled with just 290,000 in front of him. Lundström clawed some of it back before the night was through.

A pair of players with Tallinn pedigree are also still alive. Ignacio Garrido, playing under the Estonian flag, is the 2023 WSOP Circuit Main Event champion, while Finland’s Kai Lehto, winner of the 2023 Kings of Tallinn Main Event and the 2021 High Roller, is looking to add another Tallinn title to his résumé.

Saturday, August 1 Schedule at WSOP Circuit Tallinn 2026

Saturday’s schedule at WSOP Circuit Tallinn isn’t just about the Main Event returning for Day 3. Two more rings are on the line, with Ring Event #9, the €555 Sviten, and Ring Event #10, the €1,100 NLH Mystery Bounty, both reaching their final days, while Ring Event #11, the €3,000 NLH, kicks off Day 1.

The women-only action also continues, with the €200 NLH Queens featuring €50 bounties firing at 2 p.m., complete with a ticket draw for a €555 Queens of Tallinn 2026 Main Event seat and followed at 4 p.m. by a Freebuy Women-Only NLH Satellite to the Queens of Tallinn, guaranteeing four €555 Main Event seats.
