After an eight-hour final day, Thomas Sanderson of the United Kingdom has emerged as the last player standing in the 2025 PartyPoker Tour London Main Event, overcoming a 399-entry field.

After a five-way deal was agreed which left £9,000 aside for the winner, Sanderson defeated UK veteran Antonis Poulengeris heads-up, who consoles himself with the £17,680 he banked in the deal. Sanderson secured £27,780 and the trophy, representing the lion’s share of the £177,555 prize pool.

    Winner’s Reaction

Sanderson was delighted to lift the trophy, telling PartyPoker Ambassador Natalie Bromley “It feels great, I sort of don’t have any words really. I’m a Spin & Go pro and play alot on Party, and got a ticket via the rake I produced on Spins, so a really nice deal.”

“I’ve really enjoyed the PartyPoker Tour, I’ve been to three stops. It’s a great atmosphere and I really enjoy the structures, you get a lot of play for your money. It’s nice to get out of the house and play live, and I’ve met a few people here that I battle online so that’s been great.”

On whether Sanderson has any plans for his early Christmas present, “I’m not sure, probably the first £500 on a few beers tonight! Maybe a car, I’ll have to think about it!”

    Final Day Recap

Only 16 players returned for the final day, with Purev Surenjav leading the way, followed by Poulengeris. Sanderson was in the top six, while Andre Leal was seeking a historic Mini Main-Main Event double.

    Andre Leal (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)

H.W. was the first player to depart when he ran pocket tens into Siwash Zahmat’s rockets. Short-stack Dillan Patel followed shortly after, and Leal proceeded to dispose of Johnson Kitete-Kikumba to get some early momentum in his pursuit of a second piece of silverware.

Stefan Stroffek, Lewis Javens and Vincenzo Fortunato all exited before the final table, which was set when Leal busted Sarah Cope with a better pocket pair.

Kartik Kartik came into the final table as the chip leader, ahead of Leal and Sanderson. Matters started cautiously and it was a good hour before Purev Sanjurev became the first casualty of the finale when he ran into Kartik’s aces.

    Kartik Kartik (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)

Max Burney fell to Poulengeris in eighth, and Leal’s quest to bag two trophies in a week came to an end against the same opponent. Tran busted to James Marshall in sixth, and the players then took some time to discuss a deal, with Sanderson the chip leader at that point.

The agreement was reached, with Sanderson taking the most money, and the players agreeing to play on for £9,000 and the trophy.

Poulengeris proceeded to go on a tear, waking up with rockets to bust Kartik, kings to crack Marshall and aces again to dispose of Zahmat.

That run meant Poulengeris came into heads-up play with Sanderson with a near 2:1 advantage, but Sanderson gradually turned the tables, and took the trophy when he woke up with a better ace than Poulengeris. All the chips went into the middle preflop, and Sanderson rivered the nut straight to end the contest and take the title.

That concludes poker.pro‘s coverage of the 2025 PartyPoker Tour London, wishing you all a very merry festive season!

Sanderson took the lead when he rivered the broadway straight and got paid against Poulengeris’ lower one-card straight.

Andre Leal has had quite the week already, besting a 726-entry field to take home the Mini Main Event trophy and a £14,530 score at the 2025 PartyPoker Tour London.

As a 10-hour Day 2 came to a close, Leal is still in the hunt for a historic double, with the Portuguese maestro sitting 7th out of 16 combatants who will return to Genting Casino, Stratford at 2 p.m. local time on 21 December for the final day of the Main Event.

A total of 399 entrants in the £500 buy-in competition created a £177,555 prize pool, smashing the £100,000 guarantee, and £32,500 awaits the winner, with all players having locked up a £1,560 payday.

Purev Surenjav will begin Day 3 with the chip lead, sitting on 2,295,000, just ahead of Antonis Poulangeris (2,000,000) and Kartik Kartik (1,960,000).

    Day 2 Action

A total of 104 players returned for Day 2, and 62 places were to be paid, with a minimum cash good for £1,000. Johnson Kitete-Kikumba started the day as the leader, followed by Kartik.

PartyPoker Ambassador Natalie Bromley was among the early exits, and she was joined by Triple Crown winner Niall Farrell.

The bubble approached shortly after the first break, with Kitete-Kikumba still leading, and Poulangeris started to move up the standings shortly before that when he overcame an opponent’s flopped set with a one-card flush on the turn, but also ended up rivering a better set in any event.

The bubble proved to be a lengthy affair, taking around 90 minutes. Poulangeris and Kartik, the clear big stacks at their table, went to war, and it was Poulangeris who came off best, forcing a river fold in a three-bet pot after check-raising the turn.

Thomas Bingham proved to be the unlucky player to leave empty-handed, when he was essentially forced all-in from the big blind and couldn’t come from behind against Michael Rosaman.

    Thomas Bingham (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)

From there players busted relatively rapidly, and Rosaman was among those to leave with a minimum cash. Will Kassouf negotiated a payjump but his run ended there, and long time chip-leader Kitete-Kikumba took a hit when his aces got cracked by Richard Brown’s jacks.

    Will Kassouf (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)

Player of the Year contenders Alexander Georgiev and Deniz Orhan then hit the rail, with Orhan missing a flush draw against Surenjav. The field was further reduced when Siwash Zahmat secured a double-knockout of two short-stacks.

Dara O’Kearney’s tilt at the title came to an end in 19th, and Alex Aubrey was the last player to exit when he bust to the trips of Surenjav.

The 2025 PartyPoker Tour London now heads into its final weekend, as the tour comes to an end in its hugely successful debut year, and Alexander Georgiev is still the player to catch in the Player of the Year race, leading from Deniz Orhan.

Although the top ten remains unchanged, Georgiev’s lead has been trimmed by more than 20 points. If PartyPoker Ambassadors Jaime and Matt Staples obtain prizes, they will be distributed to fans in some form of giveaway in due course.

Both Georgiev (188,000) and Orhan (217,000) have found bags for Day 2, so this looks like a battle that could go all the way to the wire.

After a rapid six-hour final day, Andre Leal of Portugal has emerged as the last player standing in the 2025 PartyPoker Tour London Mini Main Event, taking the trophy and first-place prize of £14,530, defeating Bulgarian Antanas Hristov heads-up.

Leal overcame a 726-entry field, which created a £90,750 prize pool, smashing the £50,000 guarantee, with the final table results as follows:-

The triumph represents Leal’s fourth recorded live tournament win, and pushes his recorded career tournament earnings towards the $200,000 mark (all figures courtesy of The Hendon Mob).

    Final Day Action

Only 16 players returned to Genting Casino, Stratford for the final day, with Sebastian Constable leading the way at the start of play from Adewale Keshinro and Sidharth Menda. Menda unfortunately suffered an alarm malfunction, and only took his seat on the final table bubble. Only the poker gods will know if matters would have turned out differently.

Dean Clay was the first casualty of the finale, busting to Keshinro, and he was swiftly followed by Benjamin Cox and Amber Loader, who also fell to Keshinro.

Triple Crown winner Niall Farrell was next to depart, after he lost a blind on blind all-in confrontation with Constable.

    Niall Farrell (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)

Sofia Irene proceeded to secure a double knockout when she woke up with cowboys against two inferior pairs, and the final table was set when Hristov brought D.B.’s run to an end in tenth.

    Final Table Summary

Irene came into the final table with the lead, closely followed by Keshinro, while Leal was sitting in third.

    Sofia Irene (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)

Keshinro claimed the first scalp, and the chip lead, when he outflopped Safak Senyuksel’s pocket queens.

Irene wrestled the lead back when she disposed of Barry O’Shea in eighth, but took a hit when she doubled Menda, and sustained some further damage when Leal turned a one-card flush.

Menda woke up with cowboys to bust John Squibb in seventh, and Irene took a big chunk out of Keshinro when she spiked the river to hit two pair with an inferior ace. Keshinro was left with crumbs after falling into a trap set by Hristov with Big Slick, and Constable finished him off shortly after in sixth.

    Adewale Keshinro (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)

Menda was next to go when Leal spiked a pair on the river in a flip, and Leal was on the right end of another flip to bust Constable in fourth.

That set the stage for three-handed combat between Leal, Irene and Hristov, with Leal and Irene almost even, and Hristov trailing, albeit only a double behind.

A brutal cooler between the champion and Irene resulted in her downfall. Irene flopped top pair, but Leal had hit trips. All the chips hit the middle on the turn, leaving the victor with a 4:1 advantage over Hristov at the start of heads-up play.

Leal only required one hand to bring the contest to a swift conclusion. Both players were dealt an ace, and while the Bulgarian had Leal dominated, the Portuguese went runner-runner to make the nut flush and take the title.

That concludes poker.pro‘s coverage of the Mini Main Event, but be sure to stick with us for the rest of the week for full coverage of the remainder of the 2025 PartyPoker Tour London, including the £100,000 guaranteed £500 buy-in Main Event.

Niall Farrell has lifted some of the most illustrious trophies in poker, and the affable Triple Crown winning Scotsman is looking to add PartyPoker Tour London Mini Main Event silverware to his mantle piece today, as he enters Day 3 sitting 8th out of 16 qualifiers, on 1,120,000.

The event attracted a total of 726 entrants, creating a £90,750 prize pool, obliterating the £50,000 guarantee, and a Day 2 field of 111 players was reduced to 16 by the end of play last night. All players have guaranteed a £680 payday, but will be targeting the £14,530 first-place prize.

In a field featuring relatively uneven chip distributions, Farrell’s 11 big blind stack is far from the shortest, and he will be hoping to leverage his experience of deep tournament runs to wrestle the chip lead from current leader, Sebastian Constable (5,150,000).

    Sebastian Constable (Photo: Nunzia Esposito)

Constable caught serious momentum at the perfect time yesterday in Day 2. He had nursed a short-stack for most of the day, but in the final session was on the right end of two huge coolers, one resulting in a double knockout, that propelled him to the top of the standings.

Constable has already locked up his biggest recorded live tournament score, and he leads from Adewale Keshniro (4,055,000) and Sidharth Menda (3,180,000).

Sofia Irene (2,295,000) and Amber Loader (935,000) meanwhile will be hoping to become the first female winner of the Mini Main, taking inspiration from Zhen Zhen’s performance in Glasgow, where she bagged the Main Event title.

After 15 levels of play in Day 2 of the Main Event, a field of 111 players has been reduced to the last 16 players for the final day, with Sebastian Constable soaring to the top of the standings after bagging 5,150,000. Constable holds a slim lead over Adewale Keshinro (4,055,000), while Sidharth Menda completes the podium places (3,180,000).

Constable was a short-stack for much of the day, but caught some heat when he was on the right end of a cooler with rockets against Daniel Sumile’s queens, and then spiked the turn with Big Slick to bust two players in a monster pot in one of the last hands of the night.

Triple Crown winner Niall Farrell (1,120,000) also remains in the hunt for the title.

  • Alexander Georgiev Chases London Leaderboard Glory at Final PartyPoker Tour 2025 Stop

After an impressive debut season kicked off in April at the Genting Casino Stratford, London, the 2025 PartyPoker Tour comes back to the same venue for its season-ending finale, running 14-21 December. An intriguing battle for the coveted Player of the Year title is on the cards, with Alexander Georgiev leading the way at present, and plenty of points available across a packed schedule covering all poker variants.

The previous four stops produced four separate winners in the flagship tournament, the £500 buy-in, £100,000 guaranteed Main Event. Big numbers ensured that figure was breached at each location, with players also flocking to the £150 buy-in, £50,000 guaranteed Mini Main.

Getnet Kassa became the inaugural PartyPoker Tour champion, triumphing in London for a £38,408 payday, while Deniz Orhan succeeded him in Manchester for a £19,843 score.

Zhen Zhen overcame a stacked final table in Glasgow, including David Lappin and PartyPoker ambassador Jaime Staples, to become the first female winner, boosting her bankroll by £22,500, while Tai Hoang locked-up £27,420 after victory at the penultimate stop in Birmingham. The win capped a remarkable week for Hoang, who also finished runner-up in the Mini Main for £9,080.

Despite a lack of Main Event silverware, Bulgarian Georgiev tops the 2025 PartyPoker Tour leaderboard heading into the final stop, with a £5,000 package up for grabs. Georgiev has racked up nine cashes, including three victories in side events, among four final table appearances.

Georgiev holds a 50-point lead over Orhan, with PartyPoker ambassadors Matt and Jaime Staples not far behind, while Will Kassouf is also in the mix, the top 15 players being eligible for prizes.

Both Georgiev (188,000) and Orhan (217,000) have found bags for Day 2, so this looks like a battle that could go all the way to the wire.
