With his elimination of Andrew Wilson, Michael Breen is now crowned the winner of the £500 Main Event during the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Manchester. He takes home the prestigious title, the coveted trophy, and the £22,000 first-place payout.

The very first hand after the break, Andrew Wilson limped on the Button. Michael Breen then forced his opponent all in for 2,040,000 in total, and Wilson made the call without hesitation.

This was Breen’s fifth attempt at eliminating his opponent in an all-in-and-call situation pre-flop, and, albeit only by a small margin, he had the best hand. He took a firm lead on the 7♦A♥5♥ flop, and Wilson was looking for running hearts, running two-pair, or a runner-runner straight to survive. Unfortunately for him, he was left drawing dead on the 9♠ turn, and the 5♣ was merely dealt for ceremonial reasons. Wilson had fought long and well, and he put all of his poker skills on full display. In the end, though, he was declared runner-up of the £500 Main Event, and was awarded £15,000.

First to act, Breen checked the 4♣7♥A♥ flop. Wilson bet 160,000, and Breen then completed a check-raise move to 325,000. After some consideration, Wilson made the call.

Having the aggressive initiative, Breen continued with a hefty 1,500,000 bet on the 3♣ turn. A small crowd gathered around the table as Wilson made the call. The river was the 4♠, and Breen now pulled the trigger, as he forced Wilson all in for 2,880,000. Throughout the final table, Wilson has been sitting upright in his chair, shuffling his chips calmly and steadily with his left hand. This time, he crossed his arms and leaned back. He was seriously considering making the call, but ultimately folded.

Breen revealed his hole cards to his friend, standing behind him. “That’s some serious poker,” his mate saluted Breen, who reclaimed a solid chip lead.

Wilson check-called 375,000 from Breen on the 8♥Q♥K♠ flop. After another check from Wilson on the 5♣ turn, Breen announced a 1,000,000 bet. This was enough to scare Wilson away.

The very next hand, Wilson shoved the aforementioned 1,520,000 on the Button, and Breen made the call.

This time, it was Breen who had a small lead. He didn’t maintain it on the J♥8♣10♦ flop, though, and the 9♣A♥ runout saw Wilson doubling up again. Will this be the beginning of a Cinderella story?

Calogero Morreale opened to 360,000 from the Small Blind. On a mission to put maximum pressure on the smaller stacks, Michael Breen (Big Blind) forced his opponent all in for 4,100,000. Morreale snap-called.

“I can’t call with many hands, but with that one, I have to,” Morreale said, referring to Andrew Wilson being the shortest stack by some margin. Then, it happened. The brutal 5♣9♠4♥ flop saw Breen improving to a set. Morreale didn’t catch up on the 10♦K♣ runout, and in the most astonishing fashion, he was eliminated in third place for £10,000.

The stage is now set for a heads-up showdown between Breen and Wilson, where Breen has quite the chip lead.

The very next hand, action folded to Pirmohamed, who limped from the Small Blind. Breen checked his Big Blind, and then called 150,000 from Pirmohamed on the 5♥2♦A♥ flop. Pirmohamed continued for another 235,000 on the K♥ turn, and it didn’t take long before Breen forced his opponent all in for roughly 900,000 in total. Pirmohamed folded even faster, and Breen was the chip leader as the players went on the first break of the day.

Action folded to Endrit Geci on the Button, who opened to 125,000. PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Daniel Garcia decided to defend his Big Blind.

Both players checked the 10♥6♦6♥ flop before Garcia check-called another 125,000 from Geci on the A♥ turn. Garcia completed the check trifecta on the 6♠ river, and Geci sized up to 475,000. Garcia spent a minute or two in the tank before making the call.

Here we are, people. It’s the final day of the 2026 PartyPoker Tour Manchester, and what better way to wrap it up than with crowning a winner of the £500 Main Event.

The nine remaining players have battled through two long, tough days to make it here. It’s safe to say that all players who’ve made it this far rightfully deserve their place at the final table, and boy, is it a skillful mix of players. In fact, four of them have more than $1,000,000 in total live earnings, according to The Hendon Mob. Andrew Wilson, perhaps more recognizable as “BowieEffect” online, is arguably the most experienced player left in the field, with more than $2,500,000 in total live earnings, including a WPT title. Add to that his incredible success online, and you have a very fearful player who will begin today’s final table fifth in chips.

Wilson will have his work cut out for him, though. Imran Pirmohamed has proven this week that he can lock horns with the best of them. He will begin the final table as the chip leader, albeit by the smallest of margins over both Michael Breen and Endrit Geci. The one who’s looking to defy the odds is Thales Salomao. To be fair, even though he’ll begin today’s battle with the least amount of chips, he still has 12 Big Blinds to work with.

The schedule of the final day also includes Day 2 of the £250 PLO Masters Main Event. The three starting-day flights attracted a total of 87 entries, and 15 contestans have made it through to Day 2. Thirteen of them will be guaranteed the £500 min-cash, and they’re competing for the £5,850 first-place prize. While Osman Mustanoglu is the chip leader, players such as PLO Masters founder JJ Hazan, PartyPoker Tour Ambassador Sam Acheampong, PartyPoker Team Pro Jaime Staples, and 2026 PartyPoker Tour Sheffield £500 Main Event champion Siddharth Sudunagunta are all still in the mix.

Meanwhile, rumors have it that poker legend Barny Boatman will be one of the players taking his shot in the £1,000 High Roller. There is a total of six events on today’s schedule, including the popular £250 Mystery Bounty.

Diaz spent at least seven minutes contemplating his decision, looking back and forth between the flop and the stoneface of Wilson. Ultimately, he let his hand go, and Geci mucked swiftly.

“Ace-ten of hearts?” Diaz asked Wilson while he was stacking his newly won chips. Being a good sport, Wilson revealed one of his hole cards, the A♥. “I had a really good hand,” Diaz declared.
