Pure Poker Tour Back for Second 2026 Go-Round

The Pure Poker Tour (PPT) is back in action at Pure Casino Yellowhead in Edmonton in May. With satellite action starting on May 3, 2026, the second stop on the 2026 tour is just around the corner.

As always, the series kicks off with live satellite action at both Pure Canadian Gaming facilities in Edmonton. The action on Sunday & Monday runs at Pure Casino Edmonton, with the Tuesday/Wednesday satellites running at the series venue, Pure Casino Yellowhead.

The end of the satellites kicks off 11 days of trophy action, with the 2026 PPT offering a new trophy design once again, to mix up the cabinets of repeat winners. The first chance to win one of the new trophies in PPT2 comes on Thursday, May 7, at noon, but that first trophy is only available to players aged 50 and up. Thursday evening hosts an open-entry NLH/PLO game that is the first chance for all players to grab some crystal from this second series.

There are 17 events across the 11 days of action, with most days on the schedule featuring at least two trophy opportunities. The series ends on May 17 with Day 2 of the $1,100 Main Event, which saw prizes of almost $310k in January’s edition fo the game, won by Cam Stewart.

Pearl of a Series

As always, the main series action for Yellowhead events takes place in the beautiful Pearl Showroom. From May 7 through May 17, Pearl will be filled with players looking for PPT glory.

The series schedule will be pretty familiar to veterans of the tour, with much the same structure as previous events. Highlight games for the series include:

  • Event #2: $340 NLH/PLO Mix – May 7, 5 PM
  • Event #3: $670 NLH Multi-Flight – May 8-10, 1 PM
  • Event #6: $560 Progressive KO, May 10, 2 PM
  • Event #9: $560 NLH Big Bounty, May 12, 1 PM
  • Event #13: $1,100 PLO Main Event, May 14-15, noon
  • Event #16: $1,100 NLH Main Event, May 15-17, 1 PM/noon

There are 5 PLO events (including the NLH/PLO Mix) interspersed amongst the NLH games that fill most of the schedule. In addition to the games mentioned above, this series features a Double Board Bomb Pot game with bomb pots every hand, as well as a PLO Big Bounty game.

The Big Three

The biggest games on the schedule for May will be the two Main Event games, plus the multi-flight game on the opening weekend. At $1,100 each, the Main Events are the biggest buy-ins and likely to generate the biggest prize pools for the week. In PPT #1, the NLH Main Event had almost $310k in total prizes, while the four-card Main had more than $85k in prizes for the 3rd biggest game of the series. Game #2 on the prize pool list from PPT #1 was Event #3, which handed out more than $145k in prizes for a $670 buy-in.
