The wait is over. The 2026 WSOP Circuit Bratislava kicked off on Friday, July 31, with the €350 Mini Main Event getting the festival underway at Card Casino Šamorín, just outside Bratislava, Slovakia. It marks the second consecutive year the WSOP Circuit brand has set up shop at the venue, and this time around the festival runs all the way through August 11, with 12 WSOP Circuit Ring Events and more than €2.8 million guaranteed across the schedule, headlined, of course, by the €1,500 Main Event and its €1,000,000 guarantee.

The felt got busy in a hurry at Card Casino Šamorín, with the first two flights of the €350 Mini Main Event drawing huge crowds. Day 1A pulled in 321 entries, and Day 1B added another 231 on top of that. With 552 entries already logged, the tournament is already more than halfway toward its €300,000 guaranteed prize pool, and it looks set to crush the guarantee with ease once again.
Last year’s Mini Main Event attracted a massive 1,154 entries, and with three more starting flights still to come, this year’s field is on pace to challenge those numbers. It was Hungary’s Zoltán Szarka who claimed that inaugural ring in 2025, pocketing €56,000 for the biggest result of his career.
Fifty-seven players survived the first two flights to advance toward Day 2: 33 out of Day 1A and 24 out of Day 1B. Bulgaria’s Plamen Yakimov set the pace out of Day 1A, bagging up 927,000 (92 big blinds), with Slovakia’s own Jozef Komorny right behind him at 893,000. Neither, however, holds the overall chip lead. That honor belongs to Greece’s Georgios Orestidis, who came out of Day 1b with 945,000, good for 94 big blinds and just pipping Yakimov by a couple of blinds for the overall top spot.

Saturday, August 1, 2026 WSOP Circuit Bratislava Schedule
Two more Mini Main Event starting flights are on Saturday’s schedule, with Day 1C firing at noon and Day 1D following at 6 p.m. The fifth and final flight, Day 1E, will run on Sunday before the qualified field is united for Day 2.
Saturday also sees the start of Ring Event #2, the €550 Mystery Bounty, alongside a full slate of other side events and satellites. Plenty to keep both the Slovakian faithful and the growing international field busy as the festival builds toward its Main Event centerpiece.
