One of the most controversial players, Martin Kabrhel, beat the field of 10,794 entries to win the World Series of Poker #75: $1,000 Mini Main Event at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas. The huge field generated a prize pool of $9,498,720, and Martin got a nice slice of it, which was $843,140. He also won his fourth WSOP bracelet.
Martin also mentioned to PokerNews that eight or ten people in the entire field didn’t like his poker table antics, while everyone else loved it. He also said that he is going to play the Main Event, but he has to see which starting day is “the most GRO.”

On top of beating a massive field, Martin beat Alexander Yen in a heads-up battle. Yen won $566,170 for his second-place finish. This win pushes his all-time live earnings over the mark of $16 million.

The Final Table
Starting the final table, Marin Kabrhel had the chip lead with 57 big blinds ahead of Alexander Yen, who had 48 big blinds. The average of the rest of the table was around 15 big blinds.
Christopher Davis opened shoved from the BTN with A♦7♠, and Kabrhel was the only caller from SB with J♠10♥. The board ran 3♣10♠8♠A♣J♦, giving the lead to Kabrhel on the flop, then Davis took over the lead on the turn, and again Kabrhel was ahead on the river, which meant Davis was eliminated in ninth place for $89,577.
Kabrhel raised from UTG with A♠A♥, and Katie Lindsay shoved from CO, holding K♠Q♥ just to get snap-called by Kabrhel. Katie was not in great shape, and the board 3♥10♦A♣2♠9♥ made it even worse, leaving her with four outs before the river, which didn’t come, and she was eliminated in eighth place for $114,260.
Allan Tirel shoved from UTG with K♣J♣ and was reshoved by Vadzim Lipauka in HJ with A♥K♥. The dealer rolled 6♠2♣A♠7♦9♠, eliminating Allan Tirel in seventh place for $146,740.
Alexander Yen shoved from SB holding 8♠8♦ and Lucas Lew called in BB with A♦5♠, putting his tournament life at risk. The board 2♣9♠6♠K♦4♣ didn’t give any improvement for Lew and pocket eights of Yen held to eliminate Lew in sixth place for $189,710. That was the elimination that closed Day 2 of the event, and only five players were heading into the final day of the event.
At the early stages of Day 3, Vadzim Lipauka open-shoved from SB with K♣9♣, and Bartlomiej Swieboda took a few moments before he made the call with K♥6♦, putting himself at risk. The board came 2♠Q♥3♦8♥7♥ and completely missed both players, meaning that Lipauka’s king-nine was still ahead, and Swieboda was eliminated in fifth place for $246,900.
Martin Kabrhel open-shoved from BTN with J♦2♥, and John Ishak called in BB with K♣6♣. The board came 8♥Q♣3♣9♠10♦, filling Kabrhel’s gutshot, who was an underdog, but managed to hit and eliminate John Ishak in fourth place for $323,460.
Vadzim Lipauka was hanging on his last chips and called in BTN with K♦4♠, and Kabrhel isolared in SB with A♠8♦, Yen folded in BB. The dealer dropped A♥A♣9♣6♠9♠, and it was game over for Vadzim Lipauka as he was drawing dead after the flop. Vadzim Lipauka finished in third place for $426,550.
The Heads-Up
Starting the heads-up battle, Kabrhel came as the more than 2:1 chip leader over Yen. After around one and a half hours, the last hand was dealt where Kabrhel shoved his A♣K♠ and got snap-called by Yen with A♥4♠. The board K♣9♦6♠A♦J♦ instantly gave a huge lead to Kabrhek, and the turn marked the end for Alexander Yen, who won $566,170 for his second-place finish.
