We Got Bomb Pot Action
It’s Friday night; it’s not a boring cash game table we have at our hands, folks. We just joined the action on two boards with €800 in the middle.
Board 1: 5♣6♦Q♥J♣2♦
Board 2: 7♠A♦K♠6♣9♥On the river, it was a three-way all-in clash between David Vesely (€1,400), Mr. X (€600), and Szymon Politowski (€1,400).
David Vesely: Q♠4♠Q♦9♠7♦
Mr. X: A♠A♥4♥3♥8♣
Szymon Politowski: A♣Q♣3♣8♠5♦Mr. X and Politowski had a straight on one board each, and such, they split the pot between them two.

Koppel looks Happy
A new player, “Mr. X”, has joined the now 7-handed table. He was just faced with a tough decision on a 6♠7♦9♦2♠4♠ board. With €340 in the middle, Richard Koppel moved all in for €760. Mr. X spent perhaps three minutes in the tank before folding.
As the dealer pushed the chips the way of Koppel, he smiled and turned over K♣10♠ for a successful bluff.

Vesely Wins Big One to Kick Things Off
During one of the earlier hands of the game, Richard Koppel straddled to €5. Action folded to David Vesely, who raised to €15 from the Big Blind. Koppel made the call.
Both players checked the 4♠6♥3♦ flop. Vesely checked again on the A♥ turn, prior to Koppel betting €50. Vesely made the call.
The river was the 7♥. Vesely checked, and Koppel now sized up to €150. Vesely made the call fairly quickly.
Richard Koppel: A♣7♦
David Vesely: 7♠7♣Quite an action card on the turn, which saw Vesely taking a solid lead in the session.

That’s a Wrap; Pusa Moves On
Taavi Pusa. Photo: Mairo Toom After his flush-over-flush hand against Luke Nieuwenhuis, Taavi Pusa had a lead that no one could reach. With a 566,5 Big Blind profit, he won today’s Cash Game Challenge and receives a ticket to Sunday’s Flip Shootout, where he hopes to get lucky and win the €1,600 package.
Reinhard Faltejsek came in second place, with a 368 Big Blind profit.

Pusa Stacks Nieuwenhuis
Luke Nieuwenhuis. Photo: Mairo Toom We joined the action when the board read J♣4♦7♦K♠9♦ with roughly €220 in the middle. Taavi Pusa went all in for €597, and Luke Nieuwenhuis made the call.
Taavi Pusa: A♦6♦
Luke Nieuwenhuis: K♦5♦A brutal scenario for Nieuqenhuis. The pot went the way of Pusa, who probably has a solid lead with just a few hands to go.

Biggest Pot so far (?) Goes to Faltejsek
Reinhard Faltejsek. Photo: Mairo Toom UTG+1, Stefan Schrittwieser opened to €10. Action folded to Reinhard Faltejsek on the Button, who raised to €35. Schrittwieser made the call.
The continuation bet from Faltejsek on the 2♠10♦5♣ flop was €30. Within seconds, Schrittwieser put in a raise to €105. Faltejsek made the call.
On the 6♠ turn, Schrittwieser bet €210. After a minute’s worth of consideration, Faltejsek went all in for €520. Schrittwieser looked visibly uncomfortable, and after some time, he decided to fold.

Big One for Pusa
Taavi Pusa. Photo: Mairo Toom Tony Vuolle opened to €6 from the Cut-off. Victor Den Houting made it €20 from the Button, before Taavi Pusa 4-bet to €60 from the Small Blind. Vuolle folded quickly, before Den Houting made the call.
Pusa continued for €50 on the 4♣5♠J♣ flop. Den Houting wasn’t going anywhere and threw in two green €25 for the call.
Pusa sized up to €100 on the 3♦ turn. After a minute or two, Den Houting made the call. Action went check-check on the 10♦ river.
Pusa turned over A♥4♥, which was deemed the winning hand.

Vuolle Wins a Decent One
Tony Vuolle. Photo: Mairo Toom Tony Vuolle opened to €6 on the Button. Seated in the Small Blind, Victor Den Houting was the sole caller.
First to act, Den Houting checked on J♣5♦2♣, and Vuolle continued for €5. Den Houting made the call, and the turn came the 2♠. Den Houting checked again and Vuolle now sized up to €40. Again, Vuolle made the call.
Den Houting completed the check trifecta as the river came 8♠. After a minute’s worth of consideration, Vuolle bet €150. Den Houting inspected his opponent’s stack and body language for quite some time before he decided to fold.

Aggression

Schrittwieser Takes One Down
Stefan Schrittwieser. Photo: Mairo Toom From the Cut-off, Victor Den Houting opened to €7. Stefan Schrittwieser called from the Small Blind, and the two of them were heads-up to the flop.
Schrittwieser check-called the €5 bet from Den Houting on the 2♦6♦K♥ flop. Schrittwieser checked again on the 2♥ turn, and Den Houting now bet €30. Again, Schrittwieser chose to make the call.
Both players checked the 3♠ river. Schrittwieser turned over 5♠5♦, which was enough to take down the pot.

Helman Volkats Dominates Both Cash Game Challenge Sessions on Monday
Helman Volkats during the €2/€2 PLO Cash Game Challenge With the €150 THMC being concluded, the primary focus of poker.pro for the remainder of the 2025 Festival Rozvadov is the Cash Game Challenge. Sessions three and four of the segment were played yesterday (June 9), and it’s safe to say that one particular player dominated both sessions.
What is the Cash Game Challenge?
Before getting into the recap of yesterday’s action, though, let’s do a quick summary of what the Cash Game Challenge actually is and what’s up for grabs for the winner.
During four days – June 8, 9, 10, and 13 – there are two Cash Game Challenge sessions a day. Each session is two hours, and the goal is to be the player who profits the most Big Blinds during one day (i.e., both sessions combined).
Cash Game Challenge – Full Schedule
Date & Time Game Minimum Buy-in June 8, 8:00 p.m. Texas NL €1/€2 €200 10:30 p.m. Texas NL €1/€2 €200 June 9, 8:00 p.m. PLO €2/€2 €200 10:30 p.m. Texas NL €1/€2 €200 June 10, 8:00 p.m. PLO €2/€2 €200 10:30 p.m. Texas NL €1/€2 €200 June 13, 8:00 p.m. Texas NL €2/€5 €500 10:30 p.m. PLO €5/€5 €500 With this concept, the Cash Game Challenge will most likely have four winners (one winner each day). All winners will be entitled to participate in the exclusive Flip Shootout on Sunday, June 15, at 13:30. Here, they will compete for a €1,600 package to the upcoming the 2025 Festival Malta.
Volkats’ Bulldozer Session
As previously mentioned, sessions three and four of the Cash Game Challenge were played on June 9, and the first game on the schedule was PLO €2/€2. The eight players took their seats, bought in for their preferred amount, and the game was on.
The first big hand of the session played out roughly 30 minutes in. Dennis Kolbueken kicked things off with a Mississippi Straddle from the Button to €5. Diamond Gallow (Small Blind), Balint Jagadics (UTG), Daddy Cool (TG+1), and Helman Volkats (Hi-jack) all made the call before Chikkita raised to €37 from the Cut-off. Diamond and Volkats both made the call.
Action was checked to Chikkita on the4♠6♠A♠ flop, who continued for €75. Diamond folded, while Volkats made the call. On the 2♥ turn, Chikkita bet €278, and was instantly called by Volkats. “You have the nuts? I have second nuts,” Chikkita asked his opponent as the dealer dealt the 6♣ river. Volkats bet 65 to force Chikkita all in, and the call was made.
Chikkita: A♣Q♠3♣2♠
Helman Volkats: A♥K♠10♠6♥Indeed, it was nuts versus second nuts, and the. Volkats took a solid lead as Chikkita re-bought for €460.
Jason Glatzer. Photo: Mairo Toom One who wasn’t running as hot as Volkats during the game was poker.pro CEO Jason Glatzer. On a 8♦K♣3♥9♣ board with €110 in the middle, he went all in for €105. Gallow made the call.
Jason Glatzer: K♠K♦5♦4♣
Diamond Gallow: J♥10♦9♦2♦The players decided to run the river twice, and even though being a 70 % favorite, Glatzer lost both runouts, as the river cards were 7♠ and Q♥. Glatzer rebought for €200.
Just a couple of minutes later, Chikkita and Volkats clashed all in again. The board read 8♦9♥3♦5♥, and after a €62 bet from Chikkita, Volkats forced his opponent all in for an additional 507. Chikkita snap-called.
Helman Volkats: K♠K♥7♦6♥
Chikkita: 7♥6♠3♣2♥The 8♥ on the river gave Volkats the superior flush, and at this point, roughly halfway into the PLO session, he had a lead that would be very difficult for any of the other players to tie.
Michael Teplitski. Photo: Mairo Toom Chikkita wasn’t done yet, though, and re-bought for €1,000. Together with Gallow and Michael Teplitski, he was soon part of a three-way all in on a 8♠5♠J♥ flop. With €1,764 in the middle, this was the biggest pot of the session.
Michael Teplitski: J♦10♥8♣7♦
Chikkita: A♠J♣7♠5♥
Diamond Gallow: 10♠9♥7♣2♥The 7♥2♠ runout secured Chikkita the win, and he reduced his previous losses against Volkats.
There were a couple of more interesting hands during the PLO session; a replay of the full session can be watched here.

Photo: Mairo Toom Arguably, the most exciting hand of the session was when the board read 8♦7♥6♦2♠K♦, with €192 in the pot. Daniel had barreled the turn, and now proceeded with a €90 bet on the river. After a few minute’s worth of consideration, Teplitski made the call.

Sviten is Running in the Tournament Area
Being a Mixed Game invented in Sviten, there’s really no wonder there’s a few Scandinavians playing the €250 Sviten Special Event during the 2025 Festival Rozvadov. On the picture is Joakim Olin. Photo: Mairo Toom Again, there’s a lot happening now at King’s Resort that is worth to highlight. The €250 Sviten Special event is a tournament that is appealing to many Mixed Games lovers. Joakim Olin (on the above picture) is one of the Scandinavians currently in the mix, and the founding father of The Festival, Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk, is another one. We had a quick chat with Franke about the game that is Sviten Special.
“Sviten Special was invented by Anders “Bengan” Bengtsson,” Franke tells us. “At The Festival, we have a Mixed Games Main Event, the €550 H.O.R.S.E.S, which is H.O.R.S.E, but with Sviten Special added as a sixth game.”
There is another Mixed Game that reminds of Sviten Special, called Drawmaha. The difference is that in Drawmaha, there is no “one open discard feature” and you also burn a card in Drawmaha.
If you’re interested in how Sviten Special is played, The Festival has shared a tutorial where they walk through the rules. It can be watched on The Festival’s FaceBook page.

Horst Guenter Boeschen. Photo: Mairo Toom The poker.pro live reporting team will visit the Cash Game Challenge from time to time, but there’s so much more going on at the 2025 Festival Rozvadov that needs to be highlighted.

He kicked things off by winning the €150 PLO Championship on Friday, June 6, and today, he won the €125 Short Deck Bounty event for €2,189.
It’s safe to say Boeschen is having a good visit at the 2025 Festival Rozvadov so far!

Prometheus Lights Fire in Cash Game Challenge
Prometheus 13 wins The Festival Series Rozvadov Cash Game Challenge Session #2 The second Cash Game Challenge session on Sunday witnessed tons of action in €1/€2 NLHE. While this padded the pockets of “Prometheus 13” far more than the earlier winner in Thomas Winkler, who won €394 or 197 big blinds in the early €1/€2 NLHE session, both players will move onto Sunday’s flip final where one of the eight champions throughout the week will win a package to The Festival Series Malta on Sept. 15-21 at Portomaso Casino.

Photo: Mairo Toom After a two-day hiatus, it’s time for the final two Cash Game Challenge sessions during the 2025 Festival Rozvadov. The one who profits the most Big Blinds during today’s two sessions combined will secure the final spot to Sunday’s Flip Shootout, where the winner walks away with a €1,600 package that can be used for the upcoming The Festival stop.
While tonight’s sessions won’t be live-streamed, poker.pro will cover all the action live here on the blog. Just as has been the case for the earlier sessions, each sitting is two hours long.

-
Big One for Pusa
