  • Nikunlassi Takes From Westerlund

    Jari Nikunlassi
    Level 11:1,000/1,500 (1,500)
    Entries:310/930
    Prizes:€1,000,000

The board read 263A5 with perhaps 20,000 in the middle. Jenny Westerlund (Lo-jack) bet 10,800, and the decision was on Jari Nikunlassi. He contemplated his decision for a minute or two before ultimately making the call.

    Jenny Westerlund: J10
    Jari Nikunlassi: AJ

Top pair was good for Nikunlassi, and he took down the decently-sized pot.

    Jenny Westerlund: 171,000
    Jari Nikunlassi: 122,000

  • Franke Might Multi-Table

    Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk
    Level 11:1,000/1,500 (1,500)
    Entries:316/927
    Prizes:€1,000,000

Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk plays a decent stack in Day 2 of the €1,100 Main Event. He’s not a big Texas NLH fan, but more a huge Mixed Games enthusiast. That being said, he has some impressive two-card results on his resume from the past.

Action folded to Gintautas Danilevicius, who opened to 3,000 from the Cut-off. Sergejs Serkovs (Button), Franke (Small Blind), and Erio Ermann all made the call. Franke then donk-bet 4,000 on the 6210 flop; Danilevicius was the only one who decided to stick around. Franke continued on the aggressive path with a 6,500 bet on the A turn, only to be faced with a 13,000 min-raise from his Lithuanian opponent. Franke looked at his hole cards and revealed his QQ holdings for the reporter before mucking swiftly.

“Aiyaah!” he let out as Danilevicius showed 53. Time will tell if Franke is still alive in the Main Event at 17:00, when the €555 PL Sviten Championship kicks off. It’s his favorite game, and he wouldn’t want to miss it for the world.

    Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk: 128,000
    Gintautas Danilevicius: 94,000

  • We’re Live; Segins is Out

    Level 11:1,000/1,500 (1,500)
    Entries:333/915
    Prizes:€1,000,000

This live reporter set the new Guinness World Record for fastest sprint to Olympic Park Casino and Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel. The first encounters captured went down at Table 3.

Romperto Koskinidis opened to 3,500 from the Button, and Aigars Petrovs made the call before Eero Ihaksi moved all in for 15,200 from the Big Blind. Koskinidis folded, but Petrovs decided he was priced in to make the call.

    Eero Ihaksi: A5
    Aigars Petrovs: 96

Ihaksi was looking somewhat good for a double up, but the 9K9 flop was far from ideal for him. The board completed with 43, and his tournament life came to an end. That being said, late registration is still open for roughly three hours, so perhaps he will rebuy.

    Aigars Petrovs: 80,000
    Eero Ihaksi: 0

  • Day 2 has Kicked Off; Coverage Soon to Commence

Welcome, fellow poker enthusiasts, to the seventh day of live coverage of the 2026 Kings of Tallinn. Today is a big one, seeing as Day 2 of the €1,100 Main Event is on the schedule.

In fact, the tournament has already begun. This poker.pro live reporter has experienced some unforeseen incidents, which stopped me from being on-site at 12:00 when the tournament kicked off. Everything’s settled now, though, and the on-site live coverage will commence within 30 minutes.

Late registration is open during the first four 60-minute levels of Day 2. Below are the chip counts starting Day 2.

    Maciej Komorowski: 44
    Vu Vuong: 54

Not ideal for Vuong, and Komorowski’s small pocket pair would prove to be good as the board spelled out KJ977.

Liszewski decided to check the J710 flop, and Stserbjuk felt the terrain with an 11,500 bet. Liszewski made the call, and the dealer revealed the 9 turn. After another check from Liszewski, Stjerbjuk now sized up to an impressive 40,000. This was too much for Liszewski, who decided to let his hand go.

There are roughly 30 minutes remaining for the last level of the day.

    Ruslan Stserbjuk: 135,000
    Arkadiusz Liszewski: 120,000

    Entries:175/395
    Prizes:€1,000,000 GTD

All three contestants checked the 62J flop. Action was checked to Semaska on the Q turn, and he bet 11,500, leaving himself with 25,000 behind. Hov mucked, but Niazi made the call.

After another check from Niazi on the A river, Semaska utilized his five blue 5,000 chips to go all in. This sent Niazi into the tank. “You show if I fold?” he asked his opponent. No answer, and Niazi soon enough mucked his hand. Semaska didn’t show; we’ll never know what he had.

  • Meanwhile in Day 1d

    Linas Bulksas

Day 1d of the €1,100 Main Event is also ongoing. This poker.pro live reporter managed to catch a big hand.

Playing Blinds 100/200 with a 200 Ante, Linas Bulksas opened to 1,900 from the Hi-jack. Roman Jezov made it 3,800 from the Button, only to be faced with a 9,200 four-bet from Bulksas. Jezov made the call.

    Roman Jezov: JJ
    Linas Bulksas: AA

Jezov was in rough shape, and no miracle jack or any other help for him as the board completed with 910. Bulksas’ stack is so big that it would even be twice the average in Day 1c.

    Linas Bulksas: 125,000
    Roman Jezov: 0

Action was checked to Leiderman on the K8K flop, and he bet 2,000. Vold and Kvist both made the call. After another round of checking to Leiderman on the 8 turn, he moved all in for 6,400. Vold made the call before Kvist mucked his hand.

    Mihail Leiderman: KJ
    Eivind Vold: J8

No quads for Vold on the A river, and Leiderman was awarded the pot with a superior full house.

    Eivind Vold: 74,000

Seated UTG, Karolis Kutkauskas opened to 1,000. Elvijs Kergalvis made the call from UTG+1 before Yayan Chen made it 3,500 from the Cut-off. Kutkauskas made the call, while Kergalvis decided to muck his hand.

Kutkauskas check-called a 2,500 bet from Chen on the AQ3 flop. Action repeated itself on the 8 turn, the only difference being that the sizing from Chen now was 8,000. On the 10 river, Kutkauskas immediately moved all in for 17,300. Chen leaned back in his chair, and he let out a chuckle that screamed, “Is this really happening?” Eventually, he made the call.

    Karolis Kutkauskas: 43
    Yayan Chen: AK

Runner-runner flush for Kutkauskas, and he received a full double-up at the expense of Chen.

    Prizes:€1,000,000 GTD

Seated UTG+1, Jenny Westerlund opened to 800. Anthony Phillips called from the Cut-off before Tahsin Majumder made it 2,700 from the Button. Westerlund called, and Phillips folded.

The first-ever female WSOP Circuit Tallinn Main Event champion check-called a 3,700 bet from Majumder on the 1085 flop. She checked again on the 4 turn, and Majumder continued for 6,700. After some consideration, Westerlund forced her German opponent all in for roughly 30,000 in total. Majumder took his time before, ultimately, making the call.

    Jenny Westerlund: 44
    Tahsin Majumder: JJ

Majumder did not improve his hand on the A river, and as his bullet came to an end, Westerlund now plays three times the average stack.

    Jenny Westerlund: 100,000

Action folded to Ruslan Stserbjuk, who opened to 800 from the Button. Erio Ermann made it 1,800 from the Small Blind, before Stserbjuk moved all in for a mere 2,600. Naturally, Ermann made the call.

    Ruslan Stserbjuk: Q10
    Erio Ermann: A3

Stserbjuk rose from his chair and saluted “Good game” to his table mates once he saw the A43 flop. The old trick always works; the board completed with QQ, and trip queens ensured Stserbjuk’s survival.

    Erio Ermann: 35,000

The dealer revealed the K river, and Alvariza put out an intimidating 16,000. “What do you think I have?” Sulte tried to engage his opponent in some table talk. • Presumptions Set for the €1,100 PLO4/5 Championship Finale

    Fabian Bartuschk

Yesterday, the €1,100 PLO4/5 Championship played down to the money. The tournament wrapped up perhaps one hour before midnight, with 16 players bagging their chips for today’s finale. They are set to take their seats at 13:00 (i.e., in 10 minutes) and keep fighting for the €32,070 first-place payout.

England’s Sebastian Crane has earned himself the best presumptions for today; he is the chip leader with a 484,000 stack. Fabian Bartuschk is not far behind, playing 424,000. Bartuschk’s team is currently fifth in the Team Challenge rankings; he will look to earn more crucial points for “Barrie’s Angels”.

At 15:30, the tournament will be live-streamed, with commentators Andreas “Wiseguy” Höglund and Jason Glatzer. When the stream is live, the link to it will be posted here on the blog.

  • More Titles to Sweden

    Erik Friberg

Compared to the 2025 Kings of Tallinn, this year’s edition of Northern Europe’s biggest live poker festival is going better for the Swedes. Zero titles last year would prove to be nothing more than a temporary speedbump for the Scandinavians; after yesterday, Sweden has now claimed six titles.

Prior to the festival’s sixth day, Sweden had already claimed four titles. When the dust settled yesterday, two more winners waving the blue/yellow flag emerged victorious. Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk got lucky on his sixth bullet in the €200 PL Sviten/PLO5, and claimed the win for €4,550. This poker.pro live journalist will do his very best to schedule an interview with the farmer later today.

What is arguably even more impressive is Erik Friberg’s win in the prestigious €5,000 High Roller. Forty-two entries yielded a €209,760 prize pool, and after conquering a field that included prominent names such as Juha Helppi, Ranno Sootla, and Roope Tarmi, the legendary Swedish player claimed the trophy and the €71,700.

It’s worth mentioning that Lennart Andersson came second in the €200 NLH Turbo, coming very close to earning Sweden a third trophy on Wednesday.

    Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk

We interrupt the €1,100 Main Event Day 1a coverage with an important announcement! After firing six bullets, Martin “Franke” von Zweigbergk is now guaranteed a profit in the €200 PL Sviten/PLO5. His first three bullets converted into three hands; partially because he misread the game, but also because he is a fish. Just kidding; he’s currently at the final table, battling it out for the €4,550 first-place payout against three Finnish opponents. They’re all guaranteed €1,940, and time will tell whether Franke will be able to turn this into a Cinderella story.

Scrolling through PokerLens, this poker.pro live reporter noticed Kaspars Butans in the field. Butans won the €1,100 Main Event during the 2025 Kings of Tallinn for €182,000, beating No Filter Poker Series founder Mounir Tajiou heads-up. That was the biggest-ever Kings of Tallinn Main Event; only time will tell whether the record will be broken this year.

When this reporter strolled by Butans’ table, the board read 77610 with 16,500 in the middle. Steinn Thanh Du Karlsson (Small Blind) and Oleh Pritsak (Big Blind) both checked before Butans bet 6,500. Thanh Du Karlsson mucked instantly, but Pritsak made the call. The dealer revealed the Q on the river; after another check from Pritsak, Butans sized up to 14,500. This sent Pritsak into the tank, and he spent two minutes there before making the call.

Butans turned over QQ for a rivered full house. Pritsak grimaced before mucking his hand.

Rohan Oberoi opened to 2,000 UTG. Seated in the Big Blind, Martin Sejer was the sole caller.

Sejer check-called a 1,000 continuation bet from Oberoi on the AKQ flop. Action repeated itself on the 2 turn, the only difference being that the sizing from Oberoi now was 3,500. Sejer completed the check trifecta on the 7 river, and Oberoi now forced his opponent all in for 12,600. Sejer folded faster than the speed of lightning.

    Level 6:300/600 (600)
    Entries:125/186
    Prizes:€1,000,000 GTD

Alexandros Koutsoftas opened to 2,000 from UTG+1. Jorgen Dyhrberg Andersen made the call from the Cut-off, and Davis Mihelsons decided to join in on the fun from the Big Blind.

The action on the AK10 flop went down so fast; this poker journalist’s pen almost caught fire. Mihelsons checked, Koutsoftas continued for 1,300, Dyhrberg Andersen raised to 4,500, Mihelsons folded, Koutsoftas moved all in for 20,400, and Dyhrberg Andersen called.

    Alexandros Koutsoftas: QJ
    Jorgen Dyhrberg Andersen: AK

What a sick flop for the guys. It would be all premium cards on the board as it completed with 10Q, and Koutsoftas secured a full double up with his flopped straight.

    Jorgen Dyhrberg Andersen: 43,000
    Alexandros Koutsoftas: 34,000

  • Chmielowski Doubles Up

    Krzysztof Chmielowski
    Level 6:300/600 (600)
    Entries:131/186
    Prizes:€1,000,000 GTD

Krzysztof Chmielowski is back in Tallinn; the Polish player finished second in the €1,500 Main Event during the 2025 WSOP Circuit Tallinn back in August. Seated in the Hi-jack, Kalle Suvi opened to 1,200. Chmielowski then three-bet to 4,600 from the Big Blind, and Suvi decided to make the call.

Chmielowski continued on the aggressive path with a 3,400 bet on the 855 flop, and Suvi made the call. Chmielowski slowed down and checked the 7 turn. Suvi put in a pile of blue 5,000 chips, forcing Chmielowski all in for 20,400. After 30 seconds’ worth of pondering, Chmielowski made the call.

    Kalle Suvi: 86
    Krzysztof Chmielowski: QQ

Chmielowski was ahead, and he managed to dodge the many outs of Suvi on the J river.

Another tournament that is currently going on in the main tournament room is the €5,000 High Roller.

There have been High Roller tournaments on the Kings of Tallinn schedules for many years, but last year was the first time it had the €5,000 buy-in. Then, Lithuanian Kestutis Jungevicius conquered a field that consisted of 58 entries to claim €90,380, which was the biggest share of the €264,480 prize pool.

As of this very moment, the €5,000 High Roller has 20 entries; late registration is open until 18:00. Juha Helppi, Mounir Tajiou, Yaniv Peretz, Markkos Ladev, and Paul Newey are just some of the prominent names in the field, competing for arguably one of the most prestigious titles of the 2026 Kings of Tallinn.

    Level 36:150,000/300,000 (300,000)
    Entries:1/608
    Prizes:€282,720

After Martin Zobel limped the 300,000 Big Blind from the Button, Onni Huttunen moved all in for 6,100,000. It didn’t take too long for Zobel to make the call.

    Onni Huttunen: A3
    Martin Zobel: 77

Huttunen was out on deep waters, and he was in dire need of an ace or any other miracle to stay alive. The 9J2 flop didn’t bring much hope, and as the board completed with 8J, Huttunen’s tournament life came to an end. For his runner-up finish, he was awarded €35,250.

    Level 36:150,000/300,000 (300,000)
    Entries:2/608
    Prizes:€282,720

Seated on the Button, Onni Huttunen limped the 300,000 Big Blind. Martin Zobel raised to 1,100,000 from the Big Blind, and Huttunen made the call.

Zobel check-called an 800,000 bet from Huttunen on the QJ8 flop. After another check from Zobel on the 5 turn, Huttunen fired a hefty 1,400,000 bet. After some consideration, Zobel moved all in for 6,100,000 in total. It didn’t take long for Huttunen’s hand to hit the muck.

Thanks to the stream, we know the players’ holdings.

    Level 35:125,000/250,000 (250,000)
    Entries:2/608

Action folded to Germany’s Martin Zobel, who moved all in for 4,800,000 from the Small Blind. Seated in the Big Blind, Max Jafaripour peeked at his hole cards, then immediately made the call.

    Martin Zobel: A2
    Max Jafaripour: 88

It’s an educated guess Jafaripour was thrilled and hopeful to double up, but the KAK flop was not high on his wish list. The board completed with 104; Jafaripour couldn’t beat Zobel’s pair of aces, and he had to settle for a third-place finish for €23,950.

The stage is now set for a heads-up duel between Zobel and Onni Huttunen.

A fairly short-stacked Mindaugas Grigaitis moved all in for 1,000,000 UTG. Onni Huttunen decided to make the call from the Button, and soon enough, the two contestants were heads-up to the flop.

    Mindaugas Grigaitis: Q6
    Onni Huttunen: K10

Grigaitis was trailing, but he took the lead on the 9Q4 flop. His breathing room wouldn’t last long, though, as Huttunen improved to a superior pair on the K turn. No dice for Huttunen on the 8 river, and he bid farewell in fourth place for €16,800.

    Onni Huttunen: 9,400,000

    Level 34:100,000/200,000 (200,000)
    Entries:4/608
    Prizes:€282,720

Onni Huttunen opened to 400,000 UTG, before short-stacked Yevhen Sukhov moved all in for 450,000 from the Small Blind. Mindaugas Grigaitis made the call from the Big Blind; three-ways to the flop, then.

Grigaitis check-called a 250,000 bet from Huttunen on the 85A flop. After another check from Grigaitis on the 9 turn, Huttunen sized up to 675,000. Grigaitis decided to fold after some pondering; Sukhov and Huttunen revealed their holdings.

    Yevhen Sukhov: A10
    Onni Huttunen: AK

Thanks to the stream, we know that Grigaitis folded A7; in other words, all aces were out. No improvement for Sukhov on the 5 river, and he was eliminated in fifth place for €12,700.

    Onni Huttunen: 7,600,000
    Yevhen Sukhov: 0

Action folded to Yevhen Sukhov in the Small Blind, who moved all in for 1,100,000. After doing the maths, Mindaugas Grigaitis made the call from the Big Blind.

    Yevhen Sukhov: AK
    Mindaugas Grigaitis: 33

It was a classic coin flip situation, and Sukhov wasted little time before taking the lead on the KQ7 flop. No case three for Grigaitis as the river was the 4, and Sukhov doubled up.

    Mindaugas Grigaitis: 7,500,000
    Yevhen Sukhov: 2,500,000

    Max Jafaripour: 88
    Onni Huttunen: A10

Jafaripour maintained his lead on the Q9Q turn, and he left his opponent drawing dead on the 8 turn. The dealer dealt the 3 river just to follow the rules, and Jafaripour received a full double-up.

    Max Jafaripour: 3,700,000
    Onni Huttunen: 1,600,000

  • Aaltonen Proudly Plays in Härkönen’s Seat

The final table of the €555 NLH Championship is not the only thing running in the main tournament area. The €200 NLH Celebrity Special is also in full swing, and the “regular” players are looking for good spots to knock out the celebrities, as they all have some kind of mystery bounty on their heads.

Tapio Aaltonen is one of the players in the tournament. Two weeks ago, Kings of Tallinn regular Marko Härkönen suddenly passed away. As a sign of respect, the Kings of Tallinn crew reserved Table 1-Seat 1 to Aaltonen, who was a very close friend of Härkönen. He has promised to donate half of his potential tournament winnings to Härkönen’s widow; both Härkönen and Kings of Tallinn are paying homage to Aaltonen in the most beautiful way possible.

  • Tomas Bulksas Eliminated in 6th Place (€9,500)

    Tomas Bulksas
    Level 32:50,000/125,000 (125,000)
    Entries:5/608
    Prizes:€282,720

Action folded to Tomas Bulksas, who moved all in for 700,000 from the Button. After some consideration, Mindaugas Grigaitis decided to make the call from the Big Blind.

    Tomas Bulksas: A6
    Mindaugas Grigaitis: KQ

Bulksas was ahead on the 554 flop, and he maintained his lead on the 4 turn. Poker can be a brutal game, though; Grigaitis hit the K on the river, and with that, he eliminated Bulksas in sixth place for €9,500.

    Mindaugas Grigaitis: 6,600,000
    Tomas Bulksas: 0

  • Andrejs Kovalovs Eliminated in 7th Place (€7,200)

    Level 32:50,000/125,000 (125,000)
    Entries:6/608
    Prizes:€282,720

Chip leader Mindaugas Grigaitis opened to 250,000 from the Cut-off. Finland’s Onni Huttunen, second in chips, then three-bet to 725,000 from the Button. Small-stacked Andrejs Kovalovs was more or less forced all in from the Big Blind, so he committed his 275,000 stack. Grigaitis folded before Huttonen and Kovalovs went to showdown.

    Onni Huttunen: A5
    Andrejs Kovalovs: KJ

Both players hit a pair on the 4JA flop, which made it even tougher for Kovalovs. The A turn left Kovalovs drawing dead; the dealer dealt the 2 river for ceremonial reasons, and Kovalovs went to collect €7,200 for his seventh-place finish.

    Onni Huttunen: 6,200,000
    Andrejs Kovalovs: 0

  • Emil Göransson Eliminated in 8th Place (€5,850)

    Emil Göransson
    Level 32:50,000/125,000 (125,000)
    Entries:7/608
    Prizes:€282,720

Mindaugas Grigaitis opened to 250,000 from UTG+1. Emil Göransson then moved all in for 650,000 from the Button. When action came back to Grigaitis, he made the call.

    Emil Göransson: A10
    Mindaugas Grigaitis: KJ

Göransson was ahead, but it wasn’t by much. He maintained his lead on the 7810, but Grigaitis picked up an additional straight draw. Things were still in Göransson’s favor on the 8 turn, but the 9 river ultimately ended his tournament life, as Grigaitis hit his straight. For his eighth-place finish, he was awarded €5,850.

    Mindaugas Grigaitis: 6,300,000
    Emil Göransson: 0

  • Algirdas Saveikis Eliminated in 9th Place (€4,750)

    Algirdas Saveikis
    Level 31:50,000/100,000 (100,000)
    Entries:8/608
    Prizes:€282,720

Action folded Mindaugas Grigaitis, who min-raised to 200,000 from the Hi-jack. Seated in the Big Blind, Algirdas Saveikis was the sole caller.

After a check from Saveikis on the 9J2 flop, Grigaitis put out a 250,000 continuation bet. Saveikis then moved all in for 1,400,000, and Grigaitis made the call.

    Algirdas Saveikis: Q10
    Mindaugas Grigaitis: AA

Saveikis was looking to improve to a straight, but he didn’t get there on the QJ runout. As such, Saveikis became the first casualty of the final table, earning €4,750 for his ninth-place finish.

    Mindaugas Grigaitis: 4,000,000
    Algirdas Saveikis: 0

  • Breaking News: No Filter Poker Docummentary Released on poker.pro’s YouTube Channel

    YouTube player

October 17-22 last year, the No Filter Nordic & Baltic Championship was played at Olympic Park Casino and Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel.

No Filter Poker Series was founded by Mounir Tajiou. After the last casino shut down in Sweden, he wanted to create a reasonable opportunity for all Swedish poker players to play live poker. Said and done, he founded the No Filter Poker Series, and it’s far from your ordinary live poker event. Don’t take my word for it; a documentary of the event was made, and the 40-minute movie speaks for itself.

The said documentary was released on poker.pro’s YouTube channel just a moment ago, and it’s a great watch. Watch the documentary above.

  • €200 Pot Limit Razz Progressive Bounty in Full Swing

The remaining nine players in the €555 NLH Championship have yet to resume play on the final table; it’ll be another 30 minutes before all poker enthusiasts will be able to follow the final table action on the stream.

In the meantime, it feels fitting to mention something about another tournament that is currently going on: the €200 Pot Limit Razz Progressive Bounty.

Last year, the €200 Pot Limit Razz made its first appearance on a Kings of Tallinn schedule. Kings of Tallinn is a festival for the players, so tournament director Teresa Nousainen and her crew are eager to listen to players’ wishes and continually improve the festival. After hearing the players’ requests, the Kings of Tallinn team has now added the Progressive Bounty format to the tournament, something that is guaranteed to spice up the action even more.

The tournament kicked off roughly 2 hours ago, and late registration will close in about 10 minutes. Three things that are worth knowing about the tournament:

    • Plays with Blinds.
    • Initial deal: calling/raising Blinds.
    • Fourth street and onwards: lowest hand showing to open.

Last but not least, here’s a breakdown of last year’s Razz tournament.

    Sami Pulliainen: A10
    Martin Zobel: AQ

As if things weren’t already bad enough for Pulliainen, Zobel hit top pair on the Q45 flop. Pulliainen wasn’t able to produce a miracle on the 6K runout, and he bubbled the final table.

The remaining nine players are now on a short break. The poker.pro live reporting will now follow the delay of the stream. Watch the stream through the link below.

  • Vaiciulionis is Out

    Justas Vaiciulionis
    Level 25:10,000/25,000 (25,000)
    Entries:26/608
    Prizes:€282,720

Jari Kurikka opened to 55,000 from the Cut-off before Justas Vaiciulionis moved all in for perhaps 400,000 from the Button. When action came back to Kurikka, he made the call.

    Justas Vaiciulionis: KJ
    Jari Kurikka: 55

It was a classic coin flip situation, but no dice for Vaiciulionis as the board spelled out A49108.

    Jari Kurikka: 1,450,000
    Justas: 0

  • I Lost..or Did I?

    Max Jafaripour
    Level 25:10,000/25,000 (25,000)
    Entries:27/608
    Prizes:€282,720

Seated in the Small Blind, Max Jafaripour moved all in for 160,000. After doing the maths in his head, Arsen Petrunin made the call from the Big Blind.

    Max Jafaripour: A5
    Arsen Petrunin: K9

The board spelled out 74547, and a disappointed Jafaripour left the table…until his rail made him aware that his opponent in fact didn’t have a flush. Jafaripour realised he won the hand and returned to the table.

    Max Jafaripour: 345,000
    Arsen Petrunin: 300,000

  • Petrunin Sees Off Navickas

    Kestutis Navickas
    Level 25:10,000/25,000 (25,000)
    Entries:28/608
    Prizes:€282,720

The very short-stacked Kestutis Navickas moved all in for a mere 30,000 UTG. Arsen Petrunin made it 100,000 from the Button, and he successfully scared the remaining opponents away.

    Kestutis Navickas: J9
    Arsen Petrunin: AQ

Both players hit something on the 8JQ flop; as the board completed with 2K, Petrunin secured the pot and knocked out Navickas.

    Arsen Petrunin: 585,000
    Kestutis Navickas: 0

  • Jäppinen Doubles Through Göransson

    Kauno Jäppinen
    Level 24:10,000/20,000 (20,000)
    Entries:29/608
    Prizes:€282,720

Action folded to Emil Göransson, who min-raised to 40,000 from the Cut-off. Seated right next to him, Kauno Jäppinen moved all in for 125,000. When action came back to Göransson, he made the call.

    Kauno Jäppinen: 88
    Emil Göransson: JJ

Jäppinen was in rough shape, but he improved to a set on the 8107. Göransson didn’t hit a superior set or a straight as the board completed with 25, and he lost a considerable chunk of his stack to Jäppinen.

    Emil Göransson: 340,000
    Kaune Jäppinen: 300,000

  • Lundström Bids Farewell

    Rasmus Lundström
    Level 24:10,000/20,000 (20,000)
    Entries:30/608
    Prizes:€282,720

Juho Suutari min-raised to 40,000 UTG+1, before Max Jafaripour made it 125,000 from the Lo-jack. When action came to Rasmus Lundström, he clicked to 210,000, leaving him with perhaps 30,000 behind. Suutari then re-shoved for 440,000; this sent Jafaripour into the tank. After perhaps two minutes’ worth of consideration, he decided to let his hand go.

    Rasmus Lundström: AQ
    Juho Suutari: AK

Lundström was in rough shape, and no queen or any other help for him as the board spelled out 103679.

The floor has decided today’s play will conclude after Level 24 (i.e., in one hour from now), or when the tournament has reached 24 players.

    Juho Suutari: 815,000
    Rasmus Lundström: 0

  • Two Finns Collide

    Aleksi Heikkinen
    Level 24:10,000/20,000 (20,000)
    Entries:35/608
    Prizes:€282,720

Action folded to Aleksi Heikkinen, who moved all in for roughly 160,000 from the Hi-jack. When action eventually came to Henri Antikainen in the Big Blind, he made the call.

    Aleksi Heikkinen: 33
    Henri Antikainen: A8

Heikkinen utilized the old “Stand up and get ready to leave” trick in order to increase his equity. It seemed to be working on the 552 flop, before Antikainen overtook the lead on the A turn. No miracle for Heikkinen on the 9 river, and he was sent to the rail.

    Henri Antikainen: 955,000
    Aleksi Heikkinen: 0
