It was a slower day for Canadian cashes, as only a few players found one on the day. However, many Canadian players found a bag to head into the following day of the event. Among them, Zachary Zaret sits atop Event #21: $1,500 PLO Hi-Lo with the current chip lead. He enters Day 3 with 7,060,000 the equivalent of 118 big blinds.
Linyang Song and Duff Charette both remain in the Event #20: $1,500 Shootout. They have 2,175,000 and 2,125,000 respectively, while Patrick Stacey sits 12th heading into Day 2 of Event #23: $1,500 Badugi with 224,000. Allen Shen found the biggest cash of the day finishing Event #17: $2,000 NLH in 10th for $30,161. Weston Pring and Pablo Mariz both found a deep run in the $1,500 Shootout for $5,360 each.

Zachary Zaret Holds the Lead Heading into Day 3 of the $1,500 PLO Hi-Lo
Zachary Zaret WSOP
Zachary Zaret was the big star of the day finding the chip lead in the $1,500 PLO Hi-Lo. He spun it up from 6 big blinds earlier in the day, ending with 7,060,000. The tournament drew in 1,176 entries to create a total prize pool of $1,561,140. Also finding a top stack was Linyang Song in the $1,500 Shootout. She found an 8th place, heading into the following day, and currently sits at 2,175,000.
Duff Charette didn’t need a ton of encouragement to join the fray. He found a bagging stack in the $1,500 Shootout after action packed hands such as this one.
Christian Roberts moved all in from the big blind. Before Charette made any action, the dealer started preparing a flop. “She wants me to go,” Charette joked as he made the call, and both players revealed their holdings.
Christian Roberts: 3♣3♦ Duff Charette: K♠9♠
The board ran out A♥K♣K♦Q♥2♥ to give the pot to Charette. The two players exchanged numbers and plans to share a beer sometime later in the series as the most social aspect of the game was on full display.
Duff Charette: 2,250,000
